Sabina had told her he was expected to return on Tuesday, so despite not admitting to herself that she craved to see him, she dressed with great care.

Wore a pistachio green kurta and a lemon yellow salwar, wore a bindi, and large hoops in her ears. Painted her toe nails on unday nite, for lack of better things to do, painted her finger nails……….

There was a core team meeting at Noon, she hoped to see him

Tried to concentrate but it was not working, went downstairs to the Citi cafeteria and got herself chai and a biscotti from the Coffee Day outlet.

Wandered around the are where his guest cube was set up, NO sign of him

Some how puttered around until Noon, went to the rest room, checked her braid, and her clothes…. Her palms were sweaty, and cold. "You are acting like a FOOL!" her brain told her

"I know" her heart responded

It was 10 minutes past Noon, she walked to the conference room, Trishala and Aakriti were ahead of her

Trishala: I had the best Sun.

Aakriti: At the spa?

Trish: Yes, cant wait to try it again

Akriti: I see the glow on ur face.

Trish (smug) I know

Akriti: Lets see if your special someone notices it.

Trish: Wont that be cool? (giggles)

They enter the room, people are already in there, no sign of Khanak's husband……

They get seated, and he walks in wearing khakhi trousers and a coffee and cream check shirt folded at 3/4rs sleeve, looking incredibly handsome. Suede shoes complimented the other colors…..

Khanak's heart lurched and sat in her throat at the sight, warm color flowed all over her face….

Shaan: You seem happy?😃
