Here I go with one more ! 🤣

khanak stared out at the blue blue sea infront of her and thought, We're in paradise. This had to be paradise, it was so beautiful, so perfect. They had just arrived in Cinque Terre which basically was a seaside resort town made up of 5 villages which were built on narrow cliffs along the sea. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore form the Cinque Terre. They were staying in Monterosso, in a family run B&B(Bed and Breakfast). "I've always wanted to come here." Shaan said as he gazed out at the sandy beaches infront of them. "So when we decided on Venice I thought this would be a perfect way to extend our trip. " "I love it." khanak said as her gaze moved over the cliffs and hillsides that made up the villages. "I know, so do I" Shaan said squeezing her hand. "Mr. Singhania?" A young attractive man, asked walking up to Shaan." "Yes, you must be Antonio?" Shaan said shaking his hand. "Yes, Yes." "I will drive you to the B&B." Antonio said smiling. Once in the car, he talked non stop in broken English, and even some Italian. khanak laughing, practiced her broken Italian with him. Shaan shook his head watching the young man fall for the khanak charm. " Yeh mujhe pooch raha hai, key tum mere bhai ho." khanak said giggling. Shaan didn't think that was funny. "I better show him exactly who I am," Shaan said Pulling khanak closer to him and giving her a long hot kiss. "We're here." Antonio called looking in the rear view mirror at the kissing couple. "I guess he's not her brother" he thought to himself sadly.

They stepped out and found themselves standing infront of a beautiful Tuscan two story villa. Next to it sat a smaller building painted in the same earthy tones. It was surrounded by lemon trees and a garden with lilacs and lilies. They were welcomed by a lovely Italian couple who showed them to the smaller building which was the B&B they would be staying in. Walking in khanak's face broke out into a smile. The walls were a pale yellow, with beautiful ceramic art hanging from it. The bed was covered with pale green and white bedding. So fresh and mellow. Light wood furniture decorated the room and two beautiful earth ware pots in a light green and yellow sat next to the huge bay window. From the window, they had a beautiful view of the sea and the hillside. Right outside their window amidst the beautiful garden sat a small white breakfast table and two chairs. "This is where we will serve your breakfast." the sweet older women said pointing to the table. "10:00 okay for you two?" she asked. "Yes, that's fine." khanak said smiling. The couple handed Shaan and khanak a glass of Lemonchello. As Shaan finished up the paper work, khanak went and stood outside staring out at the beautiful view. This was going to be their home for 5 days. She'd traveled quite a bit in her short life but she had never, ever, seen anything as beautiful as Cinque Terre. And now she would get to share this with Shaan. Him bringing her here was the most amazing of gifts. She would always remember this.

"Hmm, you taste like lemons." Shaan said as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "So do you" she said smiling. "So do you want to explore or should we take a nap?" he asked raising his eyebrows. "Are we really going to be napping?" khanak asked. "Nope." he said trailing kisses along her ear. khanak laughed pushing him away. "As wonderful as not napping with you sounds, I really want to go explore." she said excitedly. "Please" she said seeing Shaan's frown. Shaan's frown slowly turned up into his sexy dimpled smile. "Alright" "Let's freshen up and we can go wander." khanak smiled grabbing his hand, she pulled him into their cute little room.

They trekked back down to the main strip. If nothing else, they would get quite a good workout on this trip, as everything was built along the cliffs they had to pretty much hike to get anywhere. But that was okay, it just meant they would take more kissing breaks along the way. Making it down to the "downtown Monterroso" the first stop khanak made was for gelato. Shaan laughed as he followed her into the shop. "I know" "I know" "I'll get my own." he said. khanak smiled. "Good boy" she said as she licked her gelato. "They walked along eating and browsing through little shops." khanak bought a large hand made ceramic vase that was painted by a local artist. "It'll be perfect for our living room." she said. As she gave the shop keeper their shipping address, Shaan looked at his suddenly domesticated khanak. Almost a year ago this same khanak was running from commitment and now she was his wife and she was renovating their home and she was planning to learn how to make gelato, the latter thought made Shaan chuckle. They spent the rest of the afternoon exploring just the one village, making plans to explore the rest in the next few days. They stopped for dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the sea. Watching the sun set they sipped their wine and ate their delicious pasta and seafood dinners. After dinner they walked barefoot through the sand, holding hands and stealing kisses. "I love you." Shaan said against khanak's hair as she leaned into him. "I love you too." she said smiling. As they continued to walk, she felt a slight shiver. "Cold?" he asked. "Just a little." she said as he put his arm around her pulling her close. "We'll head back." Shaan said against her hair as he kissed her forehead.

"You can go ahead and shower first Shaan." "I just wanted to check in with Aria quickly." "Sure." Shaan said as he grabbed his things. khanak quickly called Aria, but it went straight to voice mail. "Hi Ari, miss you." "Just checking in to see how you're doing." "I got your birthday messages." "Thank you." "We're having an amazing time." " I can't wait to tell you all about it." "Anyways, I'll call you when I get back to Mumbai." " I love you, and if you need anything, you know you can call me anytime." "Talk to you soon." With that khanak hung up the phone. Hmm. she could still hear the shower. What to do now. "She opened up her suitcase and dug around for her shorts. That's when she noticed something towards the bottom. Pulling it out, she smiled wickedly. She'd forgotten about this, she thought to herself. Once Shaan came out of the bathroom khanak gave him a little secret smile. Shaan raised his eyebrows. But smiled back. "Everything okay?" he asked." "Yup," she said, still smiling as she grabbed her things and walked into the bathroom. Shaan stared at the door closing and then shrugging he grabbed his phone to check in at his office.

"Lily, did Mr. Mehra come by with the new set of plans for the high-rise development?" "It's very important that those plans are submitted by the end of the week." "There is a strict deadline on this project." Shaan continued talking but as the bathroom door opened he lifted his eyes to the bathroom door and lost all ability to speak. His mouth fell open. At the bathroom door stood his sexy wife, wearing a barely there almost see through bright red piece of lingerie. Shaan couldn't take his eyes off her as khanak looked at Shaan and gave him a flirtatious smile. Lily on the other end of the phone continued talking and listing off things she thought Shaan should know. Shaan didn't hear any of them. Making her way towards Shaan, khanak side stepped him when he reached for her. His eyes flashed. "Sir," "Sir," "are you there sir?" Lily said for the 4th time. Shaan cleared his throat. "Yes Lily," "I'm here" he said hoarsely. "Okay, I'll let you go." he said, about to hang up. "No sir, I have a few other questions for you too." Shaan bit back a groan. "Go on Lily" he said gritting his teeth. khanak made herself comfortable on the bed and watched Shaan, who watched her. The questions took much longer then necessary because Lily would have to keep repeating them to Shaan, since his ability to think had gone out the door, since khanak had walked into the room. Finally Shaan had had enough. "No more questions Lily!" "I pay my directors well so that they can take care of things if I'm not there." "If you have any more questions you can ask them." With that he hung up. "Now where were we." he said to khanak as he tore his t-shirt off. "Well, we weren't anywhere because you've been over there for much too long." khanak said with a pout. Shaan grinned. "Well, we'll take care of that problem right away." he said as he quickly joined her on the bed. He grabbed khanak and pulled her to him kissing her like he was going to devour her. khanak moaned as his hands started roaming over her body. "Were you trying to kill me?" "Wearing something like this and staying out of my reach for so long." he said against her neck. "I wasn't trying to kill you, I was trying to seduce you" she said laughing when he bit her ear lobe. "Well you succeeded." he said as he practically ripped the outfit off her. It's safe to say to got very little sleep that night.

"Shaan can you please put sunscreen on my back." khanak said sitting up. Shaan smiled wickedly. "I can put it on your front too." he said. "No thanks" khanak said shaking her head. "Just the back will do fine." They were laying on the beach, relaxing. Both flipping through magazines. Shaan kneeled down next to khanak and kissed the back of her neck. khanak held out the sunscreen and he slowly took it, kissing the other side of her neck. "Shaan!" khanak said. "Sunscreen please!" "Yes Maam." he said kissing the center of her back where her bikini tied together. Hearing khanak's sudden intake of breath, Shaan smiled. He lathered his hands with sunscreen and started massaging it onto her back. "Are we going scuba diving or snorkeling today?" khanak asked. "Snorkeling." Shaan replied kissing her neck again. "Are you done?" khanak asked. "If you're talking about the sunscreen," "then yes I'm done." "If you're talking about wanting to make love again." "Well you obvoiusly know the answer to that." "I wonder if there's a private place around here." khanak stared at him, her mouth open. "Besharm Singhania!" "Please behave." "I am not going to any private place with you." "We're going snorkeling now." " I would have thought after last night you would have been satisfied." Shaan grinned. "You should know I am never satisfied when it comes to you." I"'m always wanting more." he said huskily as he leaned down and kissed her. As they broke off the kiss khanak felt breathless. Maybe a private place wouldn't be so bad she thought to herself. khanak stop it you're getting worse then Shaan she thought as she looked up at Shaan. "We're going snorkeling!" she said. Almost as much to herself as Shaan.

They did go snorkeling and then spent some time in the pool, lounging, laughing and doing lots of kissing. Barely being able to keep their hands off of eachother. "Let's go back to our room." Shaan whispered against khanak's lips. khanak smiled. They got out of the pool laughing and still kissing. People around them smiling at the young, who had to be newlyweds. khanak and Shaan spent the rest of the afternoon in their room. The next few days went about the same. They spent lots of time in the water, trying different water sport like scuba diving, jet skiing, and even surfing. Which was much harder then it looked. khanak was horrible at it, but Shaan caught on quick. "You look like a surfer dude." khanak teased. Shaan laughed it off. But he had enjoyed being out on the water like that. They also spent a lot of time walking through the different villages, exploring, buying little things for their home or for their families. They tried different foods and Shaan fell in love with a particular pizza place. He started going every day so the owner knew him by name. They would also have long leisurely dinners and listen to musicians playing lively music. Sometimes people would dance and khanak and Shaan would join in laughing. There was a walkway linking all the villages together. It was a long walk but one day they set out to do that. Stopping at picturesque points to take pictures. They also spent lots of time on the beach, relaxing, sleeping. Because they defiantly weren't sleeping at night. Breakfasts sitting in their little garden with it's glorious view and eating their fill of delicious fresh baked pastries and croissants, yogurts, cup after cup of frothy cappuccinos. "I'm going to need to go on a major diet." khanak said as she took a bite out of her croissant. "No point in a diet, we'll just increase your night time exercise regime." Shaan said as he drank his coffee. khanak stared at him and then as the meaning behind what he said registered she burst out laughing. "You're always going to be this besharm aren't you?" she asked. Shaan grinned. "Pretty much." he replied. "Good!" she said laughing again. Much too soon their holiday ended and it was time to go home. As khanak packed, she looked outside at the pretty garden, and at the beautiful view. "I don't want to go back." she said as Shaan came along and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "I know, me either." "This trip has been just amazing." "The most amazing trip I've ever taken." "I loved every minute of the last 10 days." khanak said. "And you're the one that made it special for me." "Thanks Shaan." khanak said turning around and hugging him. "I didn't make it special." "We made it special together." "I've had the best time and it'll all because of my amazing wife." "And sure we're going back home, but that doesn't mean the honeymoon is over." "We're just starting a new chapter in our lives." khanak nodded. "I'm ready for it." she said smiling. "Me too." Shaan said. Grabbing their suitcases, they looked back at their room one more time, and then smiling at eachother they shut the door behind them

3 months later

"Shaan, what do you think of these paint colors?" Shaan stifled his groan. Oh no! khanak had her paint swatches out again. Normally he wouldn't have a problem with it, but since khanak started renovating 2 months ago, she has changed her mind about 5 times, about what color she wanted to paint the different rooms. "khanak, I thought you'd already chosen your paint colors." Shaan responded. "Well I did, but then I saw these colors and I think I like them better." "Okay, then I'm sure they are fine." Shaan said as he flipped through a file. "You haven't even looked at them." khanak said frowning. Shaan sighed. "Babe, please, I've got to find an important file." "Can we discuss this later." khanak stared at him. "Fine!" She said. As she opened her mouth to continue, her phone rang. "Saved by the bell." Shaan muttered, now flipping through another file. "I heard that!" khanak said as she walked out of their room.

"Hi Ari, what are you doing? khanak said into the phone. "Um, nothing." Aria responded. "What are you doing?" "Picking out paint colors." "Renovations are a lot of work, but I'm happy with the way things are coming along." " Everything should be complete in the next month." khanak said looking around at her handy work so far. "Hmm." Aria answered. "What's wrong Ari?" khanak suddenly asked. "You don't sound like your normal self." "I'm fine, I just had to tell you something." "Well, tell me." "Wait!" "Is it good or bad?" "If it's bad, don't tell me." khanak said wincing. "Okay," Aria said about to go on. "No," "No," "even if it's bad tell me, I need to know." Aria rolled her eyes. "khanak will you please listen to me!" "Okay, okay I'm listening." "Tell me what's up." "Okay, well this is weird." "I'm not sure how to tell you but...well, but..well Ishaan asked me out on a date." "WHAT???!!!" khanak screamed into the phone. "OH MY GOD!!!" "What did you say?" "I said yes and we went out for dinner." "Wait!" "You already went on the date and didn't tell me!" khanak yelled. "Yeah, sort of." "Sort of!" "How do you sort of go on a date?" "khanak, it was just weird and I wasn't sure how to tell you so I decided to wait." "HMM!" khanak said. "Fine I'll let it go because I'm way too excited over the fact that you and my brother went on an actual date!" "So...tell me everything!" Aria laughed at her crazy friend. "Well, we go out for dinner periodically." "I always felt it was because Ishaan likes to check in on me and make sure I'm doing fine." "Which I am." "But this time was different." "He called me at work." "And I started blabbing away to him like I usually do." "And usually he just listens and laughs." "But this time he cut me off and abruptly asked." "Aria, are you over that loser Kabir." "I was taken aback." "Ishaan doesn't usually speak to me like that." "Um, yes Ishaan, I've been over him for a while" I told him. "Oh my god." khanak said excitedly "and then what happened." Aria giggled. "Then he said "GOOD!" "Good?!" "that's it." khanak asked. "Yup, atleast about that." "And In the next breath he said he'd like to take me out for dinner." "Just the two of us." "So would I like to go on a date with him." khanak stared screaming. "OMG OMG I can't believe my brother asked you out." "khanak control yourself." Aria said. Shaan walked out of their bedroom to see what khanak was screaming about. Seeing his raised eyebrows khanak mouthed "I'll tell you later." "Okay tell me about the date." she said finally calming down. "The date." Aria said sighing "Was wonderful." "He took me Sanafir." "Cause he knows how much I love fusion cuisine." "He was his usual attentive self, and khanak he was flirting with me." khanak's mouth dropped open. Her brother was flirting. "What did he say." khanak asked. "No don't tell me, that feels weird hearing about my brother flirting." "Anyways whatelse." "We had a wonderful dinner, laughed a lot." He held my hand. "Oh my god did he kiss you?" khanak asked. "Wait I don't want to know." she said in the next breath "No!" "It was our first date, he was a total gentleman." Aria said. "Shaan kissed me a week after we met, and that too, to shut me up." "So I don't really know what is the appropriate amount of time to wait." Aria laughed. "Well Ishaan didn't kiss me, but he let me know his intentions and I still can't get over them." "He told me he was in love with me." "Just like that" "And that he was okay if I wasn't in love with him." "He'd wait until I was ready." "But in the meantime he'd wanted us to go out and for me to be his girl friend." "OMG" "OMG!" khanak shouted again. "My brother is in love with you." "I knew it!" "I had a feeling when you were all down for my wedding." "Well are you in love with him?" Ari took a deep breath. "I love him" But you know how I am with the whole being in love bit." "Ari, my brother is not Kabir." khanak said softly. "I know." "Just like I know he would never hurt me like that." "I just need some time." "I understand, but more importantly Ishaan bhai understands." khanak said. "So what's the next step." "Next step is dating, it's weird we already know eachother and he's already my best friend, after you ofcourse." she added quickly. "But now things will be different." khanak smiled. "They'll be a good different though." "Yes, you're right they will be." "So, I'll keep you posted." "We're going out again tomorrow night to go see a movie and then out for drinks." khanak smiled. "I'm so happy." "I can't tell you how happy." she said trying to swallow past the lump in her throat. "khanak stop it." "We're just dating." "We'll see where it goes." "Okay" khanak said happily. "Okay I better let you go." Aria said laughing. "I know you must be dieing to tell Shaan." khanak laughed. Ari knew her too well. "I love you, and I want you to be happy." khanak said before hanging up. "Right back at you little sis." Aria said hanging up.

khanak was giddy with happiness. She was so so happy that two of the people she loved most in the world might end up sharing their life together. No not might, WILL end up sharing their life together. She knew it, she could feel it. Ishaan was the guy for Aria. I have to tell Shaan she thought to herself. Shaan stood in the living room. He'd found the file he'd been looking for and was about to leave for the office. Looking up he saw khanak running down the stairs. "Slow down." he said laughing as she jumped into his arms. khanak was laughing as she pressed her lips against his and gave him a long hard kiss. Pulling away she kept her arms wrapped around his neck. "I am so happy." " You will not believe what Aria just told me." "Hmm." Shaan said as he kissed her neck. "I'm guessing it's something big since that was one amazing kiss." "Where's Rashi?" he asked as he continued to kiss her neck. "She's meeting a friend for brunch." khanak answered distractedly. "I see." Shaan said as he stared slipping off his jacket, still kissing her neck. "Aria told me that Ishaan bhai asked her out on a date and that he's in love with her." Shaan pulled back and looked at her with a surprised expression. "WHOA!" "Ishaan is a brave guy." "Good for him" he said returning his attention back to khanak's neck. "Shaan listen will you." and then she quickly filled him in on the details. By this time Shaan had negotiated khanak up the stairs and into their bedroom. "That's great news." "I think those two would be good together." Shaan said as he opened the last of khanak's shirt buttons. khanak nodded happily. "Me too!" and then her eyes narrowed. "What are you doing Shaan?" she asked as she felt her shirt slip off her. "What do you think I'm doing?" he said as he kissed her breathless. "Whatever it is, don't stop." khanak said sighing as she felt herself being lowered on to their bed. Shaan chuckled.

Shaan glanced up as khanak walked into his office. "Hi babe." he said coming around the desk and leaning against it. "Hi sweetie, I'm going to stop off at the Empress after work." "I just want to check in, see how things are going there." "Do you want to come?" khanak asked. "No, I have poker night with the guys tonight." "It's at our place, remember?" "Oh yeah, I forgot." "Okay well have a good time and win me some money." khanak said about to turn away. "Hey," he said pulling her into his arms. "Aren't you going to wish me luck properly?" he said huskily in her ear. khanak smiled. "Good luck Shaan" she said kissing his cheek and then trying to pull away. "That's properly to you?" "With that chaste kiss I wouldn't win a thing." "Oh I see, okay let me try again." khanak said trying not to smile. "How's this?" she said giving him a small kiss to the left of his lips. "Warmer." he said pulling her closer. khanak put her hands on his shoulders, "how about this?" she said kissing to the right of his lips. "Definitely warmer." he said with a sexy smile. "Hmm...this?" she said coming an inch away from his lips and then kissing his forehead. She giggled as she pulled away trying to get out of his grasp. "I'm just going to have to make my own luck." Shaan said as he sealed his lips against hers and gave her a sizzling kiss. Realeasing her khanak looked at him dazed. "With a kiss like that, I excpect you to win every round you play." she said smiling. Shaan grinned and pulled her in for another kiss.

khanak stopped by the hotel and did a walk through. Speaking to some guests and to some staff. Everyone seemed happy and the hotel looked good. At the front desk she spoke to one of the managers and they assured her that the hotel was booked solid for the next month. khanak smiled happily. Her baby was a success. Looking at the time she winced. Rashi was going to kill her. She was meeting her for dinner and drinks at O-bar in 30 minutes. O-bar being across town, it was unlikely she would be there on time. khanak grabbed her phone to tell Rashi she was going to be late. As she hung up she noticed Megha walk into the hotel. What was Megha doing here? she thought. Actually where had Megha disappeared to? She hadn't even heard Shaan mention her in forever. Not that she minded. Megha wasn't her favorite person, but maybe she wasn't as bad as khanak's jealousy had made her out of be either. khanak walked over. "Hi Megha" khanak said. Megha gave her a surprised look. "Um, hi khanak." she said hesitantly. Megha wouldn't make eye contact with khanak. That's odd, khanak thought. "What brings you to the Empress?" she questioned. Megha winced. "I know I shouldn't have come." "I'm sorry, I had just forgotten some things here during the opening and had asked the floor manager to hold on to them." "I'm just here to pick them up, I had no idea you would be here." khanak gave her a confused look. "Why are you apologizing?" she asked. "It's fine." "You don't need my permission to come to the hotel." "And you're so nervous." "Why are you so nervous?" khanak asked. "I know," Megha said as she wiped beads of sweat off her forehead with a handkerchief. "It's just that after the kiss I wasn't really expecting you to speak to me." khanak's eyes narrowed. "What kiss?" she asked. "The kiss Shaan and I shared." Megha said looking miserable and then realizing that khanak didn't know she gave her a horrified look. khanak's face had turned white as a sheet. "You and Shaan kissed?" "When?" "Listen, khanak, it was nothing." Megha said in a panic. "When did you kiss?" "About a week and half before your wedding." Megha answered. khanak felt herself getting dizzy. "khanak!" Megha said reaching a hand out to help her. "DON"T TOUCH ME!" khanak said as she leaned herself against the wall. "khanak, it was nothing." "I kissed him." "It lasted a second." He told me he wasn't interested and only loved you." "I should never have said anything, I just thought he must have told you." "And I just got nervous when I saw you." Megha said now with tears in her eyes. "He loves you khanak." "GET OUT OF MY HOTEL!" khanak said emphasizing every word. Megha looked at khanak and then turned around and walked out.

khanak leaned against the wall for a few minutes and willed herself not to breakdown. She forced herself to walk out of the hotel and to the car. She couldn't go home. Shaan would have the guys there. Instead she called Rashi and barely managed to cancel their dinner plans without breaking down. khanak got into the car and just drove, tears streaming down her face. Finally ending up at the beach where Shaan had brought her for their first date, and where he had proposed. Getting out of the car, she saw that it was vacant. She made her way to a bench and sat down staring out at the ocean. She couldn't believe Shaan had kept something like this from her. If he kept this from her, whatelse had he been keeping from her? she thought as she let the tears fall.

Lolz too much nah Sorry huh but i need to finish it

"Shaan you robbed me blind tonight." Romit said looking at his empty wallet. "It's called strategy my friend." Shaan said hitting Romit on the back. "Right!" Romit said as the other guys laughed. "Though you were on a role tonight." Rick said getting up. "I had some lady luck today." Shaan said smiling. His lady's luck. Speaking of which, where was khanak? As far he knew Rashi and her were just going for dinner, maybe they went out to a lounge or something afterwards. Shrugging he turned his attention back to his friends. "Okay guys I'm going to get going" Rick said. One by one all the guys left, promising to get their money back from Shaan at the next poker night. As Shaan was about to shut the door Rashi walked in. Smiling at her he let her in and then looking behind her his brows furrowed. "Where's khanak?" he asked. "Bhabhi cancelled on me tonight." "So I went out with some friends instead." Rashi answered. "I thought she would be at home." Shaan stared at her. "What?" "That makes no sense." he said. "It's after 1:00." "Where could she be?" He had just picked up his phone to call her when khanak walked into the house. "Babe, where have you been?" Shaan asked walking to khanak. "Out!" she answered turning away from him, and to Rashi. "Rash, I'm sorry for cancelling last minute." "It's okay." Rashi said smiling. "I'm going to head up to bed. "Good night" "Good night" Shaan said not taking his eyes off khanak. Something was wrong, he thought as he looked at her rigid back. Not turning back around khanak ran up the stairs and into their room. Shaan watched from the bottom of the stairs. Everything was fine when she left the office this afternoon. Maybe something happened at the Empress, he thought as he walked upstairs. Walking into their room, he saw khanak rummaging through the closet. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her. khanak stiffened and pushed him away.

"What's wrong?" he asked. khanak stared at him. "What could be wrong?" she asked. "I don't know khanak" Shaan responded. "I know we didn't have a fight." "Everything was fine, so you tell me what happened." khanak glared at him. "I saw Megha today." Shaan stared at her and then swore, raking his hand through his hair. "I can explain that" he began. "Don't bother!" khanak said. "The time for explanations is over." "khanak, come on don't be like that." Shaan said grabbing her arm. "Let go!" she said glaring at him. "And how would you like me to be?" "I can't believe you would hide something like that from me." khanak said furiously. "I wasn't trying to hide it." "It's just that the timing was bad." Shaan said. "Timing was bad!" "That's your excuse!" "It's not an excuse." "When it happened, I was going to tell you." "I even came to Chandigarh early during our wedding so I could tell you." "But you were so stressed I just didn't want to throw that at you." "Then the wedding festivities and wedding, and then our honeymoon." "Honestly by the time we came back home, I myself had forgotten about the incident." Shaan said. "Nice, very nice." khanak said sarcastically. "Would you have a problem if some guy kissed me and I conveniently forgot to tell you about it?" "khanak!' Shaan snapped. "No, seriously?!" "Would you have a problem with that?" she asked him. "I would kill him." Shaan said angrily. "Yeah, and how would you feel about me keeping it from you?" khanak asked. Shaan stared at her and then cautiously answered. "I would be upset but I would listen to you and try to understand that you did it to protect me." "You're full of it!" khanak said pushing Shaan aside. "Come on khanak." "It was a mistake made by Megha." "I didn't even participate in the kiss." "Once I knew her intentions I told her right away that I was not interested, and that I only love you, and that I couldn't continue working with her either."

khanak stared back at him. "I know you love me!" She said. "I have no doubt about that." "I also know you have no feelings for Megha." "That is not what I'm mad about." "I'm mad because you didn't trust me enough to tell me." "I'm not a fragile doll that might break under the pressure of knowing someone else likes my husband." "If you had told me I would have been mad, mad at Megha and maybe even a little sad for her because like I've told you before she really likes you." "I can't blame her for that." "But I can blame her for acting on it." "But you, who I tell every little thing to, didn't tell me something so important." Do you know how stupid I felt when Megha assumed that I knew." "Why wouldn't she assume it, we are after all husband and wife." It's not her fault that she thinks that trust should be important between a husband and wife. khanak said furiously. "khanak, you're reading way too much into this." "This has nothing to do with trust." "I was trying to protect you." "RIGHT!" she snapped. "Come on khanak, don't be one of those of wives." khanak's eyes widened and instantly Shaan knew he'd gone too far. But what could he do, this had nothing to do with trust. khanak was making it out to be something it wasn't. "One of those wives huh?" "And exactly what does that entail. "Should I be one of the those wives that looks the other way when her husband does something wrong." "Maybe I should be one of those wives that only speaks when spoken too, the one that waits for her husband to eat before she herself can eat. "Is that what you wanted?" khanak asked in a cold voice. "khanak, that is not what I meant!" "I don't care what you meant." "You're not sleeping in here tonight." she said picking up his pillow and shoving it at him. "What?" "You want me to sleep in another room?" "Come on khanak." Shaan said trying to pull her to him. "I'm sorry babe, I shouldn't have said all that." " I didn't mean it." "I'm sure you didn't." khanak said pulling away from Shaan and then pushing him towards the door. "OUT!" "Right Now" "khanak, come on, I can't sleep without you." "Well I guess you're going to have to learn." she said slamming the door on his face. Shaan stood staring at the closed door. Damn you Megha! he muttered to himself. So much for it being a lucky night for him. And if he knew khanak he knew when it came to her he wouldn't be getting lucky any time soon.

"Good morning babe." Shaan said walking into the dining room and leaning down to kiss khanak's cheek. khanak moved out of the way leaving Shaan to kiss the air. He frowned as he looked at her. The gussa was just as bad as it had been last night. No calming it yet. Sitting down at the table next to khanak he said, "I was thinking maybe I'd take my beautiful wife out for a special dinner tonight." "We could check out that new restaurant you wanted to try out." khanak glared at him, and got up, walking to the other end of the table and sitting down. "Hmm." Shaan said staring at khanak. "Forget dinner, we could go see that new hindi movie you wanted to see." "I'm busy!" she snapped. "Busy doing what?" "Busy washing my hair, busy doing my nails., busy scrubbing the floor since I'm one of those types of wives." Shaan stared at her like she's lost her mind. " khanak, come on sweetie I love you so much and I miss you." "I just want my old khanak back." "Really?" she said snidely. "Well I want my old Shaan back, the one that didn't hide things from me, the one that was an open book." "Can you give him back to me?" "khanak you're anger is justified I just need to know when you'll be feeling a little less...vicious and little more forgiving." khanak stared at him and then a smile started to appear on her face. Shaan seeing the smile felt his hopes begin to rise. "WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER!" she suddenly yelled. With that she grabbed her bag and left the room. "You are so screwed Shaan." He thought to himself. "How was he going to get himself out of this one.

"Um, bhabhi is everything okay?" Rashi asked as she watched khanak paint a wall in her room. "Everything is fine." khanak said stepping back to look at her handy work. "Um, then why are you painting?" "I thought you'd hired painters to do that" "Oh I have, but they're coming next week and I just wanted to start work on my new pink room right away." "Yeah, about that...don't you think it's a little too pink." "I mean bhai might not like it." khanak glared at Rashi. "I'm counting on the fact that your bhai won't like it." she snapped picking up her paint brush again. "Okay" Rashi said slowly walking backwards out of the room. Bhai was in the doghouse big time and she really doubted that bhabhi was going to let him out anytime soon.

Shaan walked into his house and looked around for his wife. "Rashi where's khanak?" he asked. "You don't want to know." she said as she flipped channels. "And those roses you're holding." "They aren't going to get you anywhere." "I don't know what you've done but simple roses aren't going to help you." Rashi said shaking her head in pity at him. Shaan stared at his sister. "khanak, loves roses." "And roses always do the trick...and this time I bought chocolates too." he said pulling out a red velvet box. "You know how much she loves chocolate." "She won't even remember why she was mad at me after I give her these." Rashi shook her head. Her brother was in for quite a wake up call. "Bhabhi's upstairs...in her room." "I'll come up and watch you win her over." Rashi said climbing the stairs with her brother. "khanak's had time to think about things and I'm sure she's thought things through rationally and now understands where I was coming from." Shaan turned towards their room and suddenly stopped. He stood at the door of his suddenly very pink room. "What are you doing?" khanak he asked with a shocked expression on his face." "Are you blind?!" "Can't you see I'm painting!" "Remember you said I could paint the room any color I wanted...even pink." "You didn't care." "That was because I didn't think you'd actually paint it pink!" he snapped as he walked around his room. "I can't live in a pink room." "You won't have to." she said. "What do you mean?" "Are you changing it back?" he asked hopefully. "No, you won't be living in a pink room, you'll be living in another room altogether." "WHAT?!" he yelled. Rashi stood behind him and shook her head. "Poor bhai." "So smart in so many things, yet so very dumb in the areas that matter...like what to do when you piss off your wife." "khanak, I am not moving out of our room." he said angrily. "Oh don't worry, since I'm one of those kind of wives I've taken care of the move for you." "WHAT?" Shaan asked. "I've shifted your clothes and some other necessities over." "Are you kidding me?" He asked in a shocked voice. "What do you think?" she asked dryly. For how long?" "I'm not sure, it all depends on when I'm in forgiving mood." "It could take 3 days or 30 or 300 or 3000 or I may not forgive you at all." Shaan stared at her with shock. Rashi who was watching everything from the door, walked in and nudged her brother. "Flowers, chocolate." she said reminding him. "Oh yeah." "Babe this is for you." "Your favorite chocolates, and roses, I know how much you love them." khanak stared at the roses and chocolates. "Rashi I'm suddenly allergic to roses, can you please get rid of these." "As for the chocolates...I'll take those." she said snatching the box out of Shaan's hands. "Allergic?" "Since when!" He asked with a confused expression on his face. "Since you walked into the room with them!" khanak snapped. Shaan threw his hands up the air. I can't win he thought glancing over at Rashi. "I told you the chocolates and flowers wouldn't work this time." she whispered. Shaan glared back at her. "Now if you'll excuse me." khanak said putting down the paint brush. "I need to go shopping for some accessories for my pink room." "Maybe some pretty Chocolate brown and pink drapes." she said with a smile as she looked at Rashi. Her smile vanished when she turned back to Shaan. Rolling her eyes at him and a flip of her hair she walked into the bathroom. Shaan stared at the closed door. "What was he going to do now?!

khanak giggled as she flipped through pictures on her laptop. "What's so funny?" Rashi asked from the sofa. It had been a week since khanak had kicked Shaan out of their room. Shaan had spent the whole week trying to pacify his wife. Gifts, flirting, apologizing, coming home early. Anything and Everything. But khanak was in no mood to give in. Now Rashi and khanak were sitting in the family room after dinner. A dinner where Shaan tried his very best to get khanak to forgive him and khanak did her very best at ignoring him. "I'm looking at some pics an old highschool friend posted on facebook. Brings back memories. Rashi got up and sat next to khanak. "Let me see." Flipping through the pictures Rashi stopped on one particular one. "Who is he?" she asked. "That's the friend I was talking about, Sahil." "He's so good looking" Rashi said not taking her eyes off his picture. khanak looked at his picture. "Yeah, I guess he is." "And he's a super nice guy too." "We were really good friends in highschool." "He was even my date for prom." khanak said. "You two dated?" Rashi asked. "No, we never dated other then prom." "But that would barely be considered a date." "I know people thought that we were together, but no we were just good friends." "After highschool, he went to the States for University and we kept in touch for a little while but as time went by we lost touch." Now through facebook we reconnected. "Now he's an architect in New York." "And he facebooked me telling me he's coming to India next week for 2 weeks and wants to meet Shaan and I for dinner." "Meeting an old friend of yours would be fun." "Invite him over for dinner." "It'll be more informal." khanak glanced back at Shaan who stood at the entrance of the family room. "This is a private conversation." "And I have no plans of introducing him to you." "Why not?" Shaan asked sitting down next to her. khanak got up and moved to a different chair. "Because I don't want to." "Wow, that's mature" Shaan muttered. "What did you say?" khanak asked glaring at Shaan. "I'm going to leave." Rashi said getting up. "Good idea" Shaan said not taking his eyes off khanak. "No, you're not going anywhere!" khanak responded. "GO!" Shaan said. Rashi looked helplessly at both khanak and Shaan. And then finally decided it was best to leave. Let them sort things out themselves.

khanak glared at Rashi's retreating back. TRAITOR she thought. Getting up herself she took a step to also leave when Shaan got up and grabbed her. "Let go!" she said struggling as he pushed her back against a wall, standing pressed against her. "NO!" "Not until you listen to me." Shaan said. khanak glared at him. "I know I was wrong." "But if you for one second put yourself in my shoes and think about it you might see where I was coming from." "You were so stressed with the wedding preparations." "I didn't want to add to that stress." "And later on it just felt like it was too late to bring it up." "I dealt with the situation, telling Megha I wasn't interested and that we shouldn't work together." "I knew she'd never be a part of our life again." "We were just married, and so happy I didn't want a black cloud over our happiness." "You know how much I love you." "I would never intentionally do anything to jeopardize us." khanak stared at him. "I can forgive you but what if I can't trust you?" she asked. Shaan pulled away. "That's not an option." "This incident was never about trust." "I've never given you a reason to distrust me." "Even when you found out about Megha, one thing you should know without any doubt is that I would never have done anything with her." "You should have that trust in me." "You had that trust in me right?" he asked. "Yes, I do." she said finally. "I trust you." "I know you would never hurt me like that but at the same time I still can't get over the fact that you didn't tell me." "I don't understand why?" "I"m starting to sound like a broken record." "I've apologized a 1000 times." "I've reasoned with you." "I've begged you." "But you just want to keep holding this over me, don't you?" Shaan said angrily. "Excuse me!" "Don't try to change this around and make it about me!" " I didn't kiss someone and not tell you about it!" Shaan's eyes widened. Gritting his teeth he said "I DIDN'T KISS HER!" "Whatever!" khanak said turning around, her arms folded across her chest. "You know, I've had enough of begging you." "You know the facts!" "When you're mature enough to deal with them, let me know!" khanak turned around with a surprised expression on her face she watched Shaan stomp out of the family room. "How dare he!" she thought. He was in the wrong, and he turned it around on her. "If he wanted to be that way, then that's fine." "khanak Singhania wasn't about to give in either!

Shaan stood looking out at the rain. A drink in his hand. It had been 2 days since his and khanak's big fight. 2 days since he'd talked to her. He missed her. Atleast earlier when they were fighting they were still speaking. Even though it had been him speaking and her yelling. It was still contact of some sort. Now neither one was budging. But why should he. He'd done everything he could, and she was taking things way out of proportion. He loved her. Only her. He'd not even looked at another girl since he'd realized he had feelings for her. And he hadn't hidden those feelings either. She knew from day one how he felt so why now after everything would she even doubt him. Taking a drink from his glass he glanced back at his new lonely bed. It had been ages since him and khanak had made love, hell even kissed. Didn't she miss him?!

khanak sat on her window ledge staring out at the same rain. It was gloomy, which was fine because it matched her mood perfectly. She missed Shaan. She'd had a couple days to think about it and yes maybe she had gone over board with her anger. But hearing that someone else had kissed her Shaan had just made her crazy. Shaan was hers. She loved him so much. But now that she thought abut it she had been so stressed during the wedding and if he had told her at that time she would have obsessed over it wasting energy on being mad at Megha. Which in turn would have ruined the wedding festivities for her. BUT she didn't like how Shaan had sneakily turned things around and suddenly made himself the injured party. She had every right to be angry and he should spend as much time as necessary trying to get back into her good books. Pouting she looked around the pink room. "EEW" Pink was not a calming color she thought wincing. Then as she directed her attention back to the rain she thought about how long it had been since she'd felt Shaan's arms around her, or his lips against hers. Didn't he miss her?!

"Hi, I didn't catch you at a bad time did I?" Ari asked the next evening. "I know it's late there, I'm not disturbing you and Shaan am I?" Aria asked giggling. "No," khanak said looking at her still empty bed. "How are things between you and bhai?" she asked changing the subject. Aria filled khanak in on their romantic dates so far and how charming Ishaan was. "And khanak, if you could switch from being Ishaan's sister for a minute and just be my best friend I have to tell you something." "Oh my god, What?" khanak asked. "Ishaan kissed me!" "OMG!" khanak said. "This is so weird, but how was it?" "I won't give you any crazy details cause I know how uncomfortable you would be, but it was amazing." "I have never been kissed like that before." khanak smiled. "Ari I'm so happy for you two." " I can't tell you how happy." "Me too, I mean we're taking it slow." "But I'm happy." "It's kinda cool to be dating one of your best friends." "But if it wasn't for Shaan I don't think Ishaan would have ever asked me out." "I have him to thank." "Shaan?" khanak asked. "What does Shaan have to do with this?" "He didnt' tell you?" "Well Ishaan had confided in him that he was in love with me, when he came down for your wedding." "But he didn't think that I would ever be over Kabir or reciprocate his feelings." "Shaan pushed him to rethink that and ask me out." "He gave him some really good advice. "It took Ishaan a few months but he finally took that advice and the rest you know." khanak opened her mouth but no words were coming out. Shaan helped bring Ishaan and Aria together." "Ari, listen I have to call you back." khanak said as she hung up with Aria. Her sweet Shaan. And she knew in her heart of hearts that he had done it partly for her because he knew how important both Ishaan bhai's and Aria's happiness were too her. Smiling to herself she left her room and walking to Shaan's room she knocked on his door.

Shaan opened the door in his sweats and a t-shirt. His hair messy and sexy, stubble on his face. khanak didn't give him a chance to react as she threw herself into his arms and kissed him passionately. It took Shaan a second to get over his shock and then he was kissing her back as he shut the door and pressed her against it. He kissed her over and over again running his hands over her. "God, I missed you." he said roughly against her ear, as he trailed kisses along it and than bit her earlobe. khanak moaned. "I missed you too." She said pulling his shirt over his head. "I never want to fight again." She said kissing his neck and trailing her lips along his jawline back to his lips. Shaan pulled off her t-shirt. "Me either." Shaan said now kissing her roughly, his hands and mouth never leaving her lips and body. They made love as if they hadn't been together for a year not a couple of weeks. Like they would never let each other go. Afterwards, Shaan held khanak in his arms, as he kissed her forehead he said softly "I don't know what changed your mind but if you hadn't come to me tonight I was planning on coming to you." khanak giggled against his chest. "Really what would you have done?" "I don't know, but locking you and me in our bedroom until you finally forgave me was one of my ideas." "Oh and how would you have gotten me to forgive you." she asked looking up at him. "I have my ways." he said with a wicked smile as he leaned down and kissed her. "I love you khanak and I'm sorry for putting you through that pain." he said pulling away and looking down at her. "I love you too Shaan and I'm sorry I was so stubborn." "I trust and love you with every fiber of my being." "I know my Shaan would never purposely hurt me." "I was just upset." "I know and I will never let anything like that happen again." Shaan said kissing her forehead and bringing her even closer to him. As Shaan leaned down and kissed her neck again, trailing to her shoulder, khanak giggled. Shaan she said hitting his arm. "Already?!" "What?!" "We have lost time to make up for?" he said kissing her again.

"Sahil, how do you like living in New York?" Shaan asked. "It's great." "It's home now, I've been there for 5 years. " "I love my job, and have made great friends." "The only thing is I miss my family." "And my mom's home cooking." Sahil said with a smile. "When was the last time you were back?" khanak asked. "About 6 months ago" "For my cousin's wedding" "I love New York" khanak said. "It's such an exciting city." "Shaan and I are planning on going next month." "He has work and I'll have shopping." she said laughing. "How about you Rashi?" "Have you ever been to New York?" Sahil asked. "Um, no." "Not yet." Rashi said softly. khanak looked at her sister in law. Rashi had been acting weird all evening. Every-time Sahil spoke to her she would blush or answer shyly. "Rash can you help me with the dessert?" khanak asked getting up. As they walked into the kitchen khanak got right to the point. "You like Sahil don't you?" "Huh?" What?" "No!" And then looking at khanak Rashi gave a small smile. "Okay yes, I like him." "He's so cute and nice." "Is it that obvious!?" she asked. "Only to me because I'm a female." "You're brother has no clue!" "And Sahil seems to be paying quite a bit of attention to you too." khanak said excitedly. "Really!" Rashi screeched. "I just feel so tongue tied around him. He probably thinks I'm stupid because I can't seem to put two words together infront of him." "Rashi, it's fine." "And he wouldn't keep talking to you if that was the case." "I don't know." Rashi said hesitantly. "We'll see." They walked back out to the living room with the desserts. khanak paid close attention during dessert and smiled when she noticed Sahil steal a few glances at Rashi. Yup, she had been right. There was something there. Glancing at her husband she noticed he was completely clueless. "MEN!" She thought. And now Shaan was talking to Sahil about some historic building and the amazing architecture in Venice. Shaan, don't you know Sahil would much rather be talking to Rashi not her older brother!" "Shaan," khanak suddenly interrupted. Shaan looked at her questioningly . "Sorry to interrupt, but may I talk to you for a minute?" "Okay." he said giving her a confused look. Rashi was shooting daggers at khanak. "Sahil, sorry I just remembered an important document that I needed to get faxed out for a project at work." " I needed Shaan to look at it." "You don't mind if Rashi keeps you company, we should just be a few minutes." she said. "No problem, take your time." he said smiling at Rashi.

As they walked into the office Shaan looked at khanak questioningly. "What important document?" he asked. "Hmm." khanak said standing at the office door looking at the living room. Rashi and Sahil were both laughing at something. khanak smiled to herself. "khanak!" "What's document?" Shaan asked impatiently. Walking further into the office. khanak shut the door. "What document?" she asked. "What document?!" Shaan said exasperated. "Have you lost your mind?!" "You just asked me to look over some document for you." "Oh yeah that." "There's no document I just want to do this, with that khanak put her arms around Shaan's neck and kissed him. Slow and soft "Mmm" Shaan said pulling her closer. When she pulled away he asked with a smile. " What was that for?" "Just because." she said tilting her head up at him. "I like just because kisses." he said leaning in kissing her again. They lost themselves in eachother for a few minutes when khanak suddenly pulled away. "time to go back." she said. "Mmm" Shaan said kissing her neck. "Shaan!" "We have a guest!' "I swear you have a one track mind!" she scolded as she opened the door and pulled him along with her. One track mind, Shaan thought to himself confused. khanak had initiated the office make out session, and he had a one track mind "He would never understand women." "Especially this woman.
