Hey guysie i can't believe my FF have came to an end, these 2 updates will last update of my FF, I'll miss u guys like hell !

"
Bhabhi he is amazing." Just amazing." Rashi said with a dreamy look on her face. These last 2 weeks have been incredible, and I can't believe Sahil's going back to New York in 2 days." she said sadly. "In just a few weeks, he's become such an integral part of my life." "I don't know what I'm going to do with out him" she said sighing. Khanak smiled at Rashi. "You two are so cute together." "I just can't believe how quickly you two hit it off." Rashi smiled happily. "He's everything I ever wanted in a guy." Looking at Khanak she grabbed her hand. "Bhabhi I think I may have fallen in love with him" "Is that even possible to fall in love with someone so quickly?" "Ofcourse it is." Khanak said squeezing her sister in laws hand. "Love can happen at first sight." "There's no right or wrong." 'When you're in love, you're in love!" she exclaimed. "That easy huh?" Rashi said laughing. "Was it that easy for you and bhai." "Your brother and I are a little bit of a special case." "Some people take the easy route." "Meet, fall in love, get married." "We took the long, twisted, windy, scenic route to love and happiness..with a few bumps along the way." "But we made it." "It was our love that helped us make it." "Do you think Sahil and I could make it?" Rashi asked. "If you two want to make it, you will" "And I've known Sahil for a very long time, he's not the type to take a relationship casually." "It's usually all or nothing for him." Rashi nodded. "He asked me to be his girlfriend." "Well, isn't that what you want?" Khanak asked. "Ofcourse!" "But, it's the long distance relationship thing that worries me." "Don't worry, just take it as it comes" Khanak said reaching over and hugging Rashi. Glancing at the clock Khanak winced. 12:00 am, she was going to be bagged at work tomorrow. "Okay let's talk more tomorrow." "I've got an early morning meeting. " Khanak said yawning. The girls got up and walked up the stairs to their bedrooms.

Khanak quietly got into bed and cuddled into Shaan. Shaan turned towards her and wrapped his arm around her. "Hmm." "Is she over that Sahil yet?" Shaan asked drowsily. Khanak frowned at him even though he couldn't see it. "You liked Sahil!" she said. "Liked, as in past tense." "Before he tried to make a move on my sister." Shaan said, now wide awake. "He didn't make a move on her, he likes her." Khanak said cuddling closer to Shaan. "You're just being an over protective brother, because you don't think anyone is good enough for your sister." "Damn Straight!" Shaan replied. "And if he hurts her I'm going to have to kick his ass." "I know my friend, he won't hurt her." "I love your protectiveness towards your sisters." she said giggling. "You're grown sisters!" Not grown enough." "Rashi's too young to be getting serious about someone." he said. "Rashi is barely a year younger then me!" Khanak replied, rolling her eyes. "Was I too young to be serious about you?" she asked looking up into his face. "Hell no!" he answered. "Speaking about being serious, how serious are you about sleeping tonight." he asked kissing her neck. "Very serious!"she said pushing him away and giggling. "Seriously?!" "Cause I have other serious things that I need to discuss, but they can only be discussed with our clothes off." Khanak giggled as he leaned down and kissed her.

4 months later.

"Khanak, come on, Everyone's waiting." Shaan called as he knotted his tie. Khanak walked out of the bathroom slipping on her earrings. She wore a gold sari with hot pink thread and crystal work throughout. Her hair falling in curls down her back. Shaan glanced in her direction and then smiling turned fully towards her. "Wow, Mrs. Singhania, you look sexy." His eyes clearly liking what they saw. "You look pretty sexy yourself Mr. Singhania" Khanak said looking at Shaan's charcoal grey suit with a black dress shirt underneath. Both of them looked towards the door as they heard a knock. Khanak rushed over and opened the door. "Khanak bhabhi, Rashi di is asking for you." Sara said standing at the door. "Okay, let's go." Khanak said rushing out the door. Rashi was getting engaged to Sahil today. The two had, had a whirlwind romance, and were now taking the plunge and getting married. The engagement ceremony was taking place today with the wedding happening in another week. "Bhabhi, how do I look?" Rashi asked. Khanak looked at her beautiful sister in law wearing a red fitted lengha with gold embroidery and a short gold choli top embellished with red stone work. "You look like a princess." Khanak replied feeling her eyes fill with tears. "Bhabhi, please don't start, you're going to get me started too." Rashi said with a sniffle. Khanak laughed and quickly wiped away her tears. "I'm done, I promise." "No more tears." "I'm just so happy for you." she said. Rashi sniffled again. "Are you two crying again!" "I thought you did enough of that last night!" Shaan said from the door. He walked over and put an arm around each of them. Both women leaned their heads against his shoulders. "Are you sure about this Rashi?" Shaan asked. "Because, if you aren't, I can cancel this and have everyone out of the house in 5 minutes!" Shaan said seriously. "Bhai!" Rashi said frowning. "For the 10th time, I'm sure!" "I love Sahil." "And I thought you liked Sahil now!" Shaan sighed. "I like Sahil." he said. "He's a great guy." "I know he's going to keep you happy." "But he's taking my little sister away from her family too." Rashi sniffled and threw herself into her brothers arms. Khanak stood giving the two a teary eyed smile. "I love you" she mouthed to Shaan as she walked out of the room giving them some privacy. Missing her own family. her parents were arriving next week for Rashi's wedding. She couldn't wait to see them.

"Khanak stared up at Shaan and Rashi as they made their way downstairs. Her heart skipped a beat and she felt the still familiar butterflies in the pit of her stomach as Shaan made eye contact with her. He was so handsome she thought. And he was hers. The last 8 months of their marriage had been incredible ones. She never knew she could feel so intensely about someone. Feel so much love that sometimes tears would spring to her eyes because her heart felt so full. Sometimes it was scary to be so happy. Shaan showed her his love for her in so many ways. The way he even looked at her, his eyes filled with so much tenderness towards her or so much passion. His little gestures that he might not even notice. But she noticed them, and they just made her fall deeper and deeper in love with him. Like the way he moves her hair out of her face and tucks it in behind her ear when she's reading, or when they're leaning over a set of plans. So natural that he doesn't even notice he's doing it. Or the way he unconsciously will bring her hand up to his lips and kiss it while they're watching TV or he's on the phone, or doing something completely routine. His besharmy. That always brought a smile to her face. His never ending desire for her. Making every time they made love feel like the first time. Sometimes so tender and slow it brought tears to eyes and sometimes so frantic with need that she was left breathless afterwards. He'd become her whole life. And she wouldn't have it any other way.

Shaan came and stood beside Khanak. Raising his eyebrows he whispered. "You okay?" "You look like your somewhere else?" "I'm fine." "I love you" she said softly. Shaan smiled. "I love you too." he said taking her hand in his. Both turning back to Rashi and Sahil in time to see Sahil slip Rashi's engagement ring onto her finger.

"Shaan looked into Khanak's eyes and couldn't help the smile that appeared on his lips. She always had that effect on him. Just the thought of her could bring an instant smile to his face. "What?" Khanak asked looking up at him. Khanak was in Shaan's arms for the first slow dance of the night. "I was just thinking about our engagement." he answered. "Doesn't it feel like a lifetime a go." he asked. "Shaan we've only been married for 8 months!" "Don't make us sound like an old married couple!" Khanak teased. "Khanak, I don't think old married couples can do what we do." "What we do?" she asked. "Yeah" he said pulling her closer and bringing his lips close to her ear. "What we do in our bed, on the family room sofa, in the shower, in the office..." Khanak's eyes grew wide and her face blushed red. "Shaan!" she said glancing around to make sure no one heard them. "Stop it!" "On our deck, in the guest bedroom..." Shaan!" Khanak said her face, beet red. Shaan laughed. The song ended and holding hands they made their way off the dance floor. "I can't believe we've been married for 8 months and you still blush talking about us making love." Khanak gasped. "Could you speak louder?!" she said looking around. "I don't think people at the other end of the room heard you!" Shaan laughed again and pulled her closer. "You're perfect." "You know that." "Don't ever change, and for the record even when we are an old married couple I'll have the hottest wife around." "Hottest huh?' "What if I get wrinkly, with grey hair and become fat." "Hmm." "Botox, hair color and a tread mill will make sure that never happens." he answered with a straight face. Khanak gasped and then shaking her head and laughing she hit his arm. "You're always going to be beautiful in my eyes." "And I'm always going to the be luckiest man alive...in every one's eyes." Shaan said smiling lovingly at her.

Rashi's wedding was a beautiful affair with all the things a successful Indian wedding had. Music, dancing, lots and lots of food, beautiful clothing, tradition, laughter, love, and most importantly family. The week flew by with all the traditional events keeping everyone busy. The wedding was perfect and Rashi sparkled in her burgundy and gold lengha. As the wedding came to an end and the Bidaii approached, Khanak felt a lump in her throat start to form. She tried to distract herself by running around getting last minute things together. But the lump just got bigger and bigger. Rashi had become her sister and her friend. And even though she knew Sahil would always keep her happy. She couldn't help the sadness that suddenly overwhelmed her. She was going to miss having Rashi close by. As everyone gathered outside to send Rashi and Sahil off, Khanak stood next to Shaan with tears in her eyes. He had a comforting arm around her but looking up at him she could see tears in his eyes too. Everyone said their goodbyes with Khanak hugging Rashi close to her wishing her nothing but happiness. Shaan and Rashi being the last to say good bye. "I'm going to miss you bhai." Rashi whispered when Shaan wrapped his arms around her. "Me too," he said his voice cracking. "I love you" And if you ever need anything you know your big brother is always here." he said softly into her hair. Rashi nodded sobbing against his chest. He walked her to the waiting car. "I promise to keep her happy." Sahil said to Shaan, hugging him. Shaan nodded not being able to speak. The door shut and the car made it's way slowly out of the driveway. Khanak took Shaan's hand and squeezed it, leaning her head against his shoulder, watching the car disappear.

"Why don't you come to Chandigarh with us?" Khanak's mother in law asked. "Mom, I can't." "Work is so busy right now and I've already spent so much time out of the office because of the wedding." "I can't get away now." "What's the point of owning a company if you can't even take time off when you want." Shaan's mom asked shaking her head. Khanak's mom nodded. "I agree." "And your dad and I are spending a week there too, so that way we'll get to spend a little more time with you." Khanak nodded biting her lip. "Shaan won't be able to get away." "I know, he won't." "He has some big projects that he's working on." "Well, that's fine, you just come by yourself." "Since the wedding I've barely seen you." "I want to spend time with my daughter in law too." Shaan's mom said. "Me come without Shaan?" Khanak said softly. "But then he'll be alone here." Khanak said. Both mom's looked at eachother and then burst out laughing. "So there's the real reason!' "You don't want to leave Shaan." Khanak blushed. "No, no, it's not that." 'It's just that..." "I understand beta." Shaan's mom said smiling. "Your mom and I are both wives too." "Being away from your husband, even for a short time feels like forever, especially when you're newlyweds. " "Okay, fine I won't force you." "Besides knowing how much my son loves his wife, he probably won't let you come by yourself anyway." Khanak smiled shyly as her mom and mother in law reminisced about being young and newly married.

"Khanak, where's my towel" Shaan called from the bathroom. Khanak sighed. "Where it is everytime you pretend not to know where your towel is to get me into the bathroom with you!" Khanak yelled. Shaan didn't say anything. A minute later the bathroom door opened with Shaan walking out with just a towel around his hips. "I found the towel" he said moving towards her. "Now I just need my wife." he said picking up a fully dressed Khanak and carrying her back into the bathroom. Khanak screamed. "Shaan, put me down!" He put her down but grasped her arm. "Shaan come on let go." "In a second." he said shutting the door behind him with one hand and then tugging off her t-shirt. "Shaan" Khanak said softly. "Our family is downstairs." That's nice" he said leaning down and kissing her neck as he unzipped her jeans. Khanak moaned. "Someone might come looking for us." she said softly. Her eyes closed as Shaan kissed her bare shoulder. "Let them." "Her jeans now lay on the ground. Turning on the shower he pulled her in. "Shaan, our parents.." she said softy reminding him. " "Don't scream my name as loud as usually do, and noone will come looking for us." he whispered against her lips. Her gasp was replaced by a moan as his hands started to drift over her body. Before long Shaan had made her forget that anyone else even existed other then him and her.

"So everyone's leaving tomorrow morning." Khanak said looking at Shaan who was sitting on their bed typing away on his laptop. "Hmm." was his reply. Khanak frowned at him. But then slowly her frown turned into a smile. He looked so cute with his glasses on. And then her smile got a little bigger. "So I was thinking since I haven't been to Chandigarh since our wedding, and since my parents are here and I haven't seen the rest of my family in a little while I would go to Chandigarh with everyone. "Hmm." Shaan responded still working away on his computer. Khanak stared at him. And then suddenly Shaan looked up at her, his eyes widening. "Hmm!" he said. "What?" "Chandigarh, by yourself?" "No, that's not going to happen." he said putting his laptop down on the bed and getting up. "Why not?" Khanak asked. "Why not?!" "Maybe because I can't survive without you for longer then 24 hours." "After that I start going through Khanak withdrawal." he answered. "Khanak withdrawal?" Sounds like a serious problem." she said. "Very serious." "Once you have it there is absolutely no turning back." "No cure, just lots of medicine in the form of a beautiful woman named Khanak." he said wrapping his arms around her. "Will any Khanak do?" she asked. "No," he said shaking his head. "Only mine will do." he said kissing her softly on the lips and the hugging her close to him. "Only my Khanak." Khanak closed her eyes and pressed her face into his chest. "Good answer" she said smiling.

The next day the last of their family left and both Shaan and Khanak promised to come to Chandigarh for a visit soon. Falling back into their routine they worked, and socialized with friends together and individually. Over the next year and a half, they fell more and more madly in love with eachother. If that was even possible. But according to Shaan it was. As he liked to say "he loved her more today then yesterday and less today then tomorrow." Every day was a new adventure, a new day to live together, to enjoy together, to love together. As much time as they spent with friends and family they always made sure they had time for just the two of them. Be it long walks on their favorite beach, or dinners out sometimes by candle light and sometimes standing outside their favourite roadside gol guppa stand. Sunday mornings they would lie around in bed, drinking coffee ,reading the newspaper, making love. Not necessarily in that order. Khanak sometimes managed to get Shaan to sing for her. Leaning her head on his shoulder she would lose herself in his beautiful voice. Never wanting him to stop. Their love for travelling had them seeking out a new travel destination every few months. They loved exploring and learning about new things together. A year ago they went to Vancouver together for the first time as husband and wife. That had been amazing for Khanak, being able to show Shaan a part of her life he was not really familiar with. They had had such a great time that they had ended up extending their trip by a week so that Khanak could spend some more time with her family and friends. They visited family in Chandigrah numerous times and Family and friends came to visit them which was always a nice surprise. Khanak's cousin's from Chandigarh coming kept them both entertained. Aria and Ishaan also came for a visit not so long ago. Khanak and her spent time shopping and planning...planning for Aria and Ishaan's wedding which would be taking place in a few short months. Rashi and Sahil also visited and Khanak was so happy to see how happy and in love her sister in law was. And even after almost 2 1/2 years of marriage one thing that had not dulled in the least, infact if possible had just become stronger, was their desire for eachother. Their lovemaking was still constant and amazing. Shaan's ability to make Khanak melt at his slightest touch had not changed in the least. He still drove her crazy with his caresses and she still drove him wild with her sexiness. They were extremely happy with the life they'd built, but lately Khanak had started feeling something. A little twinge for something more. She had everything, the perfect life, so why did she feel like they weren't complete.

"Radha, he's perfect" Khanak said holding a week old little baby Rohan in her arms. He's so precious." Khanak said staring into his little face. Radha smiled. "He's precious right now." "He's not so precious at night when he's awake for most of it." Khanak laughed. "Rohan, baby are you not letting your momma get any rest?" "Oh Radha, I think he just smirked at me!" Khanak said laughing happily. "In that way he goes after his Shaan chachu!" Radha laughed. "I'm so happy for you and Rick." "You two make great parents." Khanak said still not being able to tear her eyes away from Rohan. "Look at his tiny fingers, and oh my gosh his toes." "I could just eat them." she said cooing at him. "You're so precious." she said talking to him. "Do you know who I am?"" "I'm your chachi." "Yes I am" she cooed at him. "He's smiling again!" Khanak squealed looking up at Radha. Radha was looking back at her with a questioningly smile. "So, when are you and Shaan going to provide Rohan with a friend to play with?" Khanak smiled. "I don't know" she said. "Really?" Radha asked. "Because it looks to me like you're ready." Khanak blushed. "Maybe..." she said kissing Rohan's cheek and inhaling his distinctive baby smell. "Ready for what?" Rick asked as him and Shaan walked into the room. "Nothing you need to worry about." Radha said giving Khanak a secret smile. Rick shrugged his shoulders. Shaan walked over to Khanak and Rohan. "Hi little guy." "I'm you're Shaan chachu." "I'll teach you cool stuff like football, playing video games, how to talk to pretty girls." Khanak laughed and elbowed Shaan in the ribs. "Want to hold him?" she asked. "Sure" Shaan said taking the baby from Khanak's arms. "Look at that, you're a natural." Radha said happily. "Rick take a picture." Rick grabbed his camera and snapped a picture of the 3 of them." "You two look good with a kid in your arms" Rick said with a smile. Khanak sneaked a peak at Shaan to see his reaction. Shaan smiled back at Rick. "Yeah we look good because we're well rested." "If Rohan was our child we'd probably have bags under our eyes, spit up on our clothes, and look ready to pass out." he joked. Khanak frowned as everyone else laughed at Shaan's joke. Is that what Shaan felt having a child would do to them.

Shaan watched Khanak as she moved around their bedroom. She seemed quiet tonight. Ever since they'd left Radha and Rick's place she'd been so quiet and lost in her own thoughts. "Is everything okay?" he finally asked walking up to her and titling her chin up until her eyes met his. "Yes,"she said with a small smile. Shaan stared at her, giving her an assessing look. "Something's up?" "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. "No." "later" she answered. Shaan nodded. As she got into bed and turned to her side facing away from him, Shaan reached over and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight baby." he said. Lying down and closing his eyes. "Goodnight" she said softly. Khanak lay quietly for a few minutes and then she spoke up. "Shaan, can I ask you something?" she whispered. "Ofcourse." Shaan replied. " Don't you want to have kids?" she asked. Silence and then Shaan sat up turning on the lights. He looked down at Khanak who now lay on her back. "Are you pregnant?' he asked. "No." "Well atleast I don't think I am." she answered. Shaan stared at her waiting for her to continue. "It's just that lately I've been thinking more and more about us starting our own little family." she said not looking him in the eyes. "We talk about everything, I don't know how the topic of kids has never come up for us." "And now I'm thinking maybe you don't even want to have kids." she said feeling herself ramble on but not knowing how to stop. "I want to have kids" Shaan said. "Ofcourse I do!" "We'd make great parents." "I just never brought it up because I didn't think you were ready yet." Khanak sat up and looked at him wide eyed. "You don't know how happy and relieved I am." Shaan laughed pulling her into his arms and hugging her close. "You'd be an amazing mom." "The best mom" he said kissing her forehead. "And you'd make a great dad." "Our kids would probably be the most besharm in the whole neighbourhood but they'd have a dad who loved them like crazy." Shaan smirked. "Every father passes something down to his child." "I'll pass on my besharmy." Khanak giggled against his chest. "What should I pass down?" she asked. "Definitely not your stubbornness." he answered, in return he got a glare. "Pass down your beautiful heart that is always filled with love and goodness for so many people." Khanak smiled softly. "I love you." she said lifting her head and looking into his eyes. "I love you two." "So shall we start practicing?" "Practicing?" Khanak asked. " Yes practice makes perfect!" "And if we don't practice how are we going to conceive the perfect baby." Shaan said lying Khanak down and kissing her neck. "Ofcourse practicing is of utmost importance." "We must practice as much as possible." she said giggling as Shaan nipped at her ear. And true to Shaan's word he spent as much time as possible practising until he got it just right.

x "Aria, it's been 5 months." "Why is it taking so long for me to get pregnant?" Khanak asked Aria over the phone. "Do you think there's something wrong?" Khanak asked worriedly. "No, I think you're just being paranoid." Aria answered. "5 months is barely any time at all." "See you would think it's not that much time BUT I am married to Shaan and in our case the amount of time we do spend making love I should have been pregnant within the first month!" "It doesn't work that way!" Aria said laughing. "I know" "I know" "It's just that I've taken this baby making stuff seriously." "Even when we were in Vancouver last month for your wedding we had been making love every chance we got." "Even Shaan was shocked." "Not that he was complaining." " Infact he was enjoying himself a little too much." "Too much information." Aria said. "Too much information." Too much information would be if you started telling me about yours and bhai's love life." 'Eew!!" "I can't believe I even thought it." Khanak said making a face. "You're brother is an amazing husband, friend and lover." Aria said giggling. "Thanks for that!" Khanak said frowning into the phone. "Anyways, I'm just getting a little tense" "I just thought, I'm ready to be pregnant so boom I should be pregnant." "Now I'm realizing it's not that easy." "Khanak it's all going to come together." "Just don't obsess over it." Aria advised. "You're right." "I've let it consume me." "I'm going to take the pregnancy test in a week and if I am not pregnant, which will probably be the case." "I will not freak out." "How do you know it won't be the case?" asked an exasperated Aria. "Are you a fortune teller?!" "NO!" "It's just that I've been reading every baby book known to man and I don't have any of the symptoms." "Anyways enough about me." Khanak said. "How are you and Bhai doing?" Aria giggled. "Fantastic!" Khanak laughed. "I love being married to Ishaan." "He's so good to me, and I love him so much." "You two are so cute." "Your love for eachother shines through." Khanak said happily. "I wanted you to have the same happiness I do and I just can't believe that it was my brother who gave you that." "You're my sister in law." 'You've always been my family but now it's official." "I love you Aria" Khanak said choking up. Aria laughed and sniffled at the same time." "Are you sure you're not pregnant." "You're sure getting emotional these days and making me emotional too!" Both girls laughed at their silliness.

"Shaan, the Mehra project is nearing completion." "But there are some final details we need to discuss." "Do you want to sit in on the meeting with myself and the project manager?" Shaan looked up at from studying some plans and rubbed a hand over his face. "No, I've got a lot on my plate right now, you go ahead and finish up with that project." Khanak looked at Shaan worriedly. "Are you okay sweetie?" she asked coming closer and putting her hand on his arm." "You look tired." Shaan smiled and pulled Khanak in for a hug. "You've been keeping me very busy at night." Shaan said laughing when Khanak pulled away and hit him. "Are you complaining?" she asked. "Are you getting tired of our lovemaking?" "No!" Shaan said pulling her back against his chest. "I'm just teasing you." he said smiling. "I'll never tire of making love to my beautiful wife." he growled kissing her neck. Khanak giggled pushing him away. "Then you must be tired because you work way too hard!" she said cupping his face with her hand. "Have you had lunch yet?" she asked. "Yes, I have." "Have you?" Khanak made a face. "Yes, and I almost threw up." "I grabbed a egg salad sandwich from the shop next door and I think it had gone bad because just the smell of it made me want to throw up." she said shuddering. 'So you haven't had lunch?" Shaan asked. "Okay maybe not." "Okay come on." "Let's grab you something that doesn't make you sick." "No, that's okay Shaan I know how busy you are." "I'll pick up something later." Grabbing her hand he brought it to his lips. "I'm never to busy to have a little lunch with my wife." "I thought you ate?" "I could eat again." he said pulling her to the door." Khanak smiled. "I love you Shaan." she said leaning against him. 'I love you to babe." he said kissing her forehead and slipping an arm around her as they walked out of his office. Every employee that walked by them smiled in their direction. Seeing a laughing, happy Khanak and Shaan always so lost in eachother that they barely noticed anyone else. They're love for eachother was so beautiful.

"Khanak, where are you?" Shaan called that evening from the bottom of the stairs of their home. Not hearing a reply he made his way up the stairs. They were supposed to be going out for dinner tonight. He'd talked to Khanak half an hour before and she had told him she was ready to go and to just to honk when he got there. He'd been waiting outside for 10 minutes and there was still no Khanak. Coming to the entrance of their bedroom he saw it was empty. "Where did she go?" he wondered. "Khanak" he called again pulling out his phone to text her again. That's when he heard crying. It was soft, but he could hear it. He walked further into their bedroom and his eyes widened. He rushed to their bathroom and found Khanak sitting on the edge of their tub. Her tear stained face looking up at him. He saw a pregnancy test sitting on the counter next to her. "Babe, it's okay." he said pulling her into his arms. "It's only been a few months." "Next month will be our month." "Please baby don't cry." "You know I can't see you cry." he said holding her tightly. Khanak pressed her face into his chest and her crying slowly stopped. "Shaan?" "Hmm" he said into her hair. "Shaan you know how you were so tired earlier today?" "Yeah." he answered. "Well are you going to be okay with being tired for the next 18 years.'" "18 years?" he asked pulling away from her. "Yeah first from 2 am feedings and diaper changes, the to toddler nightmares and wanting to sleep with mommy and daddy to sleepless nights waiting up for our teenager to get home from a party." "That'll probably take us until he or she is 18 years old." Shaan stared at her and then his eyes widened and various emotions played across his face. From shock, to happiness, love and then awe. "We're having a baby?" he asked slowly. Khanak nodded her head laughing as he picked her up and swung her around. WE'RE HAVING A BABY!" He shouted. Both laughing. He put her down and got down on his knees. Putting his hand on her flat stomach. "Hi baby" he said softly. "I'm your dad." "Just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that your mom and I love you and can't wait to meet you." "You'll be hearing a lot of my voice because I'm gong to be talking to you all the time." he said rubbing his hand on Khanak's tummy. Khanak laughed. Shaan looked up at Khanak. His eyes filled with love for her. "I love you" he said as he stood up and took her into his arms. " I love you too." she said smiling as he caressed her face with his hand. He leaned down and gave her a soft sweet kiss. "Thank you for being the mother of my child." he said "Thank you for being the father of my child." she said leaning her forehead against his.

"Good morning Shaan and Khanak." It was a week and half later and Khanak and Shaan were at their first check up with their Obstetrician. "'I've written up some blood work that you'll need to have done." Shaan took the paper work from Dr. Grewal. "We'll get it done right after this appointment." he said to her. Khanak smiled. Since they found out about the baby Shaan had become even more attentive. "Good, so how are you feeling Khanak?" she asked. "Um, good overall." "Some nausea." " "Lately I've noticed I get tired easily. " "I'm not a napper but since I found out I was pregnant I've been taking naps almost every day." "That's perfectly normal." the doctor assured her. "The first trimester is always likes that." "You may find the nausea will get worse." "But the 2nd trimester should be much better." "Great" she said. "Okay according to the information you've given me I believe you're about 8 weeks along." "We may be able to hear a heart beat right now." Khanak looked at Shaan excitedly. "A heartbeat, our baby's heartbeat." she said excitedly. The doctor laughed. "Yes, you're baby's heart beat." "Let me check your blood pressure and everything else and then we'll listen for that heartbeat." "Okay" Khanak said squeezing Shaan's hand. The doctor went through all the things Khanak will need to be careful about and after doing a physical exam, the doctor said "Well you look good, healthy." You're taking your vitamins?" "Yes, every day." Khanak answered. "Alright would you like to hear that heartbeat now?" "Yes please." Khanak said smiling. Shaan moved over next to Khanak and grabbed her hand. The doctor pulled out what Khanak will learn was called a fetal doppler and pressed it into her tummy. Almost instantly they heard a sound. "What's that?" Khanak asked. "It sounds like a horse galloping." "That's your baby's heart beat." the doctor said smiling. "That's just what it sounds like." Khanak and Shaan stared at eachother in awe. Tears shimmered in Khanak's eyes. "Our baby." she said softly as Shaan kissed her forehead. But as they looked back the doctor Khanak paused. "Is their something wrong?" she asked looking at the Doctor's puzzled expression. "No," the doctor said. looking at her reassuringly. "I'll be right back," she said squeezing Khanak's hand. Khanak felt her heart drop. "Something is wrong."she said tears welling up in her eyes." "Khanak, what are you talking about?" "The dr' said everything is fine, we just heard our baby's strong heartbeat." "Did you see her expression and she squeezed my hand." "Why would she do that?!" Khanak asked panicked. Before Shaan could say anything the doctor walked in pulling in a large machine with her. "Where just going to do a quick ultrasound." she said applying some clear "goop on Khanak's stomach. "What's wrong Dr. Grewal." "Please tell us." Khanak said, tears falling down her face. "Is my baby okay?" "Khanak, your baby is fine." she said soothingly. Now just relax, stress isn't good for either one of you." Khanak tried to relax. The doctor pressed something cold and metallic into Khanak's stomach. "Okay now, let's see what we have here." Khanak stared at the screen. She couldn't make out anything. "I can't see my baby." she said. Shaan squeezed her hand. "Just a second" Dr. Grewal said looking at the screen. And then smiling she turned towards them. "Shaan, Khanak, that there is your baby." she said pointing at a tiny dot on the screen. A sob escaped from Khanak's lips. "Oh my god, our baby is so beautiful." she said. Shaan looked at her smiled, his own eyes filled with tears. "And that there is your second baby." the dr said pointing at another dot on the screen. "WHAT?" Khanak and Shaan both shouted. The doctor burst out laughing. "Khanak and Shaan, Congratulations you are about to become the proud parents of twins." Khanak stared blankly back at the doctor. Shaan opened his mouth to say something but shut it again not being able to speak. "2 babies!" "Are you sure?" Khanak asked. "Yup, positive." She looked back at Shaan and said "2 babies." 2 babies!" "OH MY GOD!" she said happily laughing and crying at the same time. Shaan joined her wrapping his arms around her. "We're having twins!" he yelled!

Ofcourse with twins there was more risk so Khanak was told to take certain precautions and not to over do it. Shaan took the doctor at her word. He was so protective, making sure she ate on time, rested, had her feet up. Didn't over exert herself. If Khanak wasn't already so in love with him she would have been after the way he took care of her and their babies. "Drink up." Shaan said watching her drink her milk. "I can't drink any more." she whined." "Yes you can, just a little more" he said "remember the babies need it." Khanak frowned. "That's your reasoning for everything." The amount of food you force down my throat, I don't think the babies need all that." she said with a pout. "And look at how fat I am." "I'm as big as a house." she said looking down at herself. "You're beautiful." he said giving her a soft kiss. "I have never seen a more beautiful woman in my life." Khanak smiled at him. "You have to say that." "I'm carrying your children." "I don't have to say anything." "I mean it." "You've always been beautiful but now you have this radiance, this glow about you." "You're even more gorgeous." "It's the reason I can't keep my hands off you" he said pulling her into his arms for another kiss. Khanak giggled. "I know you were happy that we didn't have to stop our lovemaking." "I know, especially now when you're even sexier." "It would have been torture to keep my hands off of you." "Sexier!" "Yeah right!" she said walking over the table and grabbing her bowl of ice cream. "Movie time!' she said happily taking a bite of her ice cream and moaning. "The babies love ice cream" she said. "Thanks for going out last night and getting it." she said kissing his cheek. "Oh no problem, it was no problem to go to 5 different shops trying to find the exact ice cream you wanted and then come home to find you a sleep." 'No problem at all." Shaan said sarcastically. Khanak smiled. "You know what would be so yummy with this ice cream?" "Pickles!" she said her eyes getting as big as saucers. "Pickles and ice cream ." Shaan made a face like he was going to gag. "Yes, do we have any?" Khanak asked licking her lips. Shaan stared at her. "I'll go have a look." he said. "Thanks babe." Khanak said smiling as she went back to eating her ice cream. Shaan came back an hour later. "What took you so long?" Khanak asked pausing her movie. Shaan stared at her. "You wanted pickles we didn't have any so I got you some." "Shaan there are 8 different types of pickles here." "I know I didn't want to bring the wrong one like last time and have to go back!" he said rolling his eyes. "That's why I was smart this time, I bought them all!" Khanak got up and hugged her amazing hubby. "You're the best," she said kissing him "But I'm not in the mood for pickles anymore." Shaan sighed. "What do you want me to go get for you now?" he asked. "Nothing." "I just want you to take me upstairs and make sweet love to me." she said nuzzling his neck. Shaan smiled. "Now, that's something I can definitely do and as many times as you want me too!" he said kissing her as he lead her up the stairs.

"Everything looks really good." Dr. Grewal said putting down the doppler. Babies both look and sound healthy. "You look good." "How are you feeling?" "Good, tired, BIG, but good." "I'm just so ready to meet my babies" Khanak said with a smile. "I know, and it's not much longer now." "A few weeks really." "You have your bag packed?" "Shaan has had it packed a month ago" "He's been reading book after book on parenting, and the first year with baby." "He's going to be a great dad." Dr. grewal said smiling. "And the way he's taken care of you has been exceptional." "You two are very cute together." Khanak blushed. "Thanks" she said turning towards the door as she heard it open. "I'm sorry I'm late." Shaan said rushing in. "The meeting ran late." "Everything okay Dr. Grewal?" he asked grabbing Khanak's hand. "Everything is perfect." "Babies and mom all look great." "Just a few more weeks " she said. Shaan smiled. "A few more weeks." he said softly raising his eyebrows at Khanak. "Will you have help?" the doctor asked. "Oh yeah, family is starting to arrive next week." "Khanak's parents, and then a few days later my parents and then my sister and her husband from New York and then Khanak's brother and sister in law from Vancouver." "The house will be full with plenty of people to help and hold crying babies." The doctor laughed. "Good, because the first few days especially are rough." "But family support is always good." They left the office hand in hand. Walking slowly as Khanak waddled. "Happy?" he asked . "ecstatic!" she answered leaning against him. "The nursery is ready." "Yup," "My bag's packed, the house is ready for our guests." "We're ready, we can have these babies any time." Khanak said happily. Wincing as she felt a hard kick against her ribs. "If these babies don't crack my ribs before that." "Sona's" she said rubbing her tummy. "Calm down in there." "I know you're impatient and want to come out and meet mommy and daddy." "But the kicking is getting ridiculous." and as if they were listening Khanak got another kick in her ribs. Making both Shaan and Khanak laugh.

By the end of the next week Shaan and Khanak's home was filled. filled with all the people they loved and loved them. "Khanak was fawned over and wasn't allowed to lift a finger. "Relax" was the only word she heard as everyone rushed around her. "I'm so blessed" she thought as tears welled up in her eyes. "Not again!" Aria said coming over and hugging Khanak. "I can't help it," Khanak said wiping away her tears. "I am so emotional right now." "It's alright, you're allowed to be." "You're about to be a mom and you're making me a mami!" "I know!" "So when are you going to make me a Bhua?" Khanak asked. Aria giggled. " Hopefully Soon... we're trying." she said blushing. Khanak squeezed Aria's hand. "Our kids will be best friends just like we are." she said happily. Aria leaned into Khanak. "You know how much I love you right?" she asked. Khanak nodded, not being able to speak around the lump in her throat. "I love you too" she said finally. "Look at my two beautiful daughters." Khanak's dad said coming up and sitting down on the other side of Khanak. Seeing their tears he asked worriedly if everything was okay. "Happy tears dad." Khanak said leaning her head on her dad's shoulder. "Oh, okay that's alright then." he said slipping his arm around her and squeezing her shoulder. "I'm going to go see what Ishaan is up to?" Aria said getting up.

"Dad I never did thank you." "Thank me for what?" "For Shaan," she said lifting her head and looking at her dad." "For giving me Shaan." Her dad smiled. "Mohan and I just helped alittle it was you and Shaan that really found your way to eachother, through love." "And the rest is god's will" As they say "Rab Ne Banadi Jodi." "And you two are a couple that god did create, with all the love in the world he put two people together that were truly meant to be together." "Seeing your love for eachother makes me, as a father so so happy." Khanak hugged her dad. "I love you dad." she said kissing his cheek. "If Shaan and I could be half the parents our parents have been to us then we will have succeeded." "You two are going to be the perfect parents." "And I'm going to the best nana ever." "I have big plans for my grand kids." he said lovingly. Khanak laughed and then yawned. "Time for bed." her dad said helping her get up. He walked her up to her room helping her get into her bed and tucked the covers around her. Kissing her forehead he said what he used to say to her as a child when he tucked her in. "Good Night my love." "Sleep tight." Khanak drifted off to sleep smiling.

Khanak woke up to a sharp pain and then a pop. "Ow" she yelled holding her stomach. Shaan was instantly awake. "What's wrong?' he asked. "Khanak stared at him as he turned on the lamp. They both looked down at the now wet covers. "I think my water just broke!" she said in shock. "WHAT?!" "Okay," "Okay" Shaan said jumping out of bed. "Okay. Okay" he said again raking his hand through his hair. Khanak slowly got out of bed. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Any pain yet?" "Just some cramping." she replied. "Okay Okay" he said looking around the room as if he was trying to find something. "Where's the bag I packed for the hospital?" he asked. "Baby, calm down, remember you put it into the trunk of the car a few days ago so that it was ready to go." "Oh yeah." he said taking deep breaths. Khanak doubled over in pain. Shaan was at her side in a second. "Are you okay?" he asked rubbing her back. "That one was definitely more painful." she said. Shaan was now the Shaan she knew...focussed and ready to get the job done. He quickly pulled out her clothes and helped her get dressed and ready for the hospital. At the same time getting himself dressed. Waling out of his room he knocked first on his dad's door and then his father in law's bedroom door. "We're going to the hospital." he said calmly. "We can call you and let you know what's happening." "No we're coming with you." his dad said. "No, you two go, you call us and let us know how things are progressing, we'll all get ready in the meantime and then come to the hospital." Sid cut in. "But Sid.." Mohan said. "Mohan we don't want to overwhelm them." "Let them have a little bit of time on their own." Mohan nodded. "Please keep us posted Shaan." he said and then he hugged him. "I'm proud of you son." he said in a gruff voice. "Thanks dad." Shaan said roughly walking up to Khanak. Ready? he asked. "Next time we come back into our home our babies will be with us." Khanak said looking around their house as they walked down the stairs. "I know, we'll be parents." he said kissing her cheek.

Once at the hospital they were admitted quickly. "The contractions are coming faster and closer together." Khanak heard the doctor say as she almost screamed in pain from the last contraction. "Khanak, you're doing great." Shaan said reassuringly. Rubbing her lower back and giving her ice chips. "I feel like I'm dieing!" she said biting down on her lip as another contraction ripped through her. ""Just think soon we'll be holding our babies in our arms." "I know it's painful but there's a light at the end of the tunnel." "There's no light! Khanak snapped. "There's just lots and lots pain!' "I can't believe you did this to me!" she said squeezing his hand tightly. Shaan stared at his screaming wife. "You're doing great." he said again. "I think it's time." the doctor said from behind him. "It's time!" "Khanak it's time!" he said kissing her forehead. Khanak felt tears slide down her face. She'd have her babies in her arms soon. "Okay Khanak when I tell you to, you need to push." "Okay" Khanak said panting. Shaan held her hand standing next to her. "I love you." he said "I love you too!" she screamed as she pushed. "Push, push come on I see the baby's head, you can do it Khanak." The doctor yelled. "You're doing great." Khanak pushed and pushed and then she heard a cry. The most beautiful sound she'd ever heard. "A baby boy." she heard the doctor say. Khanak looked up at Shaan's tear stained face. But she didn't have time to say anything because it was time to push again. "Come on you're almost there." she could hear the doctor say. "One more push. one more." And then she heard another cry. "Congratulations a baby girl" And suddenly both babies were placed on Khanak's chest. Khanak couldn't stop the tears that ran down her face as she looked at her precious babies with awe. She kissed each one. "Hi babies, we've been waiting for you." "We're your mommy and daddy" Khanak said. Shaan hugged her close, kissing her forehead. "Thank you, thank you so much for this precious gift." he said against her hair. "You want to hold them?" she asked. Shaan smiled holding one and then the other in the crook of his arms. He stared down at them. "You're mom and I love you so much." he whispered softly as he kissed each of their foreheads.

The next month was a whirlwind of activity as Khanak and Shaan adjusted to becoming parents. Their families were an amazing amount of help to them. The babies were showered with so much love that there wasn't a moment when someone wasn't cooing at them. Khanak's Chandigarh family had also arrived so it really was a full house. "Nisha, " "Rehaan." Khanak called looking down at her babies as the lay in their bassinet kicking. "Are you mummy's little angels?" she asked smiling at them. "Yes you are." "Mummy and daddy love you so much." She was rewarded with little smiles. "Oh yes you know exactly what mummy is saying." Khanak said tickling their little feet. "Mummy could just eat your little toes and these little fingers." she said tickling them a little more. They made sounds as if they were conversing with her too. Shaan walked in and stood at the door smiling and watching his wife and children. Taking a few steps he wrapped his arms around Khanak and kissed her neck. "Hi babies" he said looking down at his beautiful children. "Hi wifey." he said against her ear. "Hi hubby." she said raising one hand and caressing his face. "How was your day?" "Long, I just wanted it to end so I could get home to my family." Khanak smiled. "They're perfect aren't they?" she said looking down at Nisha and Rehaan. "Yup, just like their mom." Khanak smiled. "Good answer". "Except they have their daddy's dimples and eyes." "Yes, but they have their mom's beautiful smile." "That's true." Khanak said reaching out a finger to each baby and letting them grasp her fingers. "They have such a tight grasp." she said softly. "Just like the grasp they have on my heart." she said softly staring at her babies. "I know." "It's amazing how overwhelmed I am with love for them." "I'm in awe of them" "I just can't believe I could be this blessed." Shaan said also looking down at Nisha and Rehaan. Khanak turned towards him. "I feel the same way." "When I found you I thought life could never get better then this." "But it has." "Now with our children." Shaan wrapped his arms around her. "I love you so much." "And I love our life together." "I can't believe how far we've come." "I know me either." "But it's been a wonderful journey and I wouldn't change a thing." "Not a thing?" Shaan asked nuzzling her neck. "Not even how besharm your husband is that he's counting down to the day he can make love with his wife again." Khanak pulled back and smiled "That's something I definitely never would change." I love my besharm husband." she said pulling Shaan's head down and kissing him softly. Nisha and Rehaan watched from their bassinet. "Oh no they're at it again!" They cooed to eachother. Looking up at their mom and dad they smiled.
