Shaan looked up at the sound of Khanak's musical laughter. He sat with Ishaan, Arhan and Raj. Ishaan and him discussing a business venture that Ishaan was interested in pursuing with him in India. But at the sound of Khanak's laughter Shaan paused. He could see her and Aria huddled together like two little school girls sharing a secret. His Khanak looking lovely in a yellow and silver sari.

"Let's go upstairs." Khanak whispered to Aria. "And I'll tell you the rest." They got up and giggling like two little girls went up to Khanak and Shaan's bedroom. Khanak grabbed Aria's hand and pulled her to the sofa. "It was amazing Aria." she said in excitedly. "He was so attentive and so gentle and sometimes not so gentle." Khanak said giggling. "If I had known it would have been this good I would have let him make love to me months ago." Khanak said with a cheeky smile. Aria giggled and hit her on the arm. " No you wouldn't have!" she said. "But nevertheless the candles and roses it just sounds so romantic." said Aria dreamily. "It was" Khanak said sighing. Both girls stared dreamily off into space. "I used to imagine the first time Kabir and I made love." Aria said softly. Khanak looked at her. "It's funny, more then him I used to picture the room, the bed, the candles." "Him, I don't think I ever pictured him." "Aria," Khanak said "I'm sorry I've been so hung up on the wedding I haven't talked to you about how you're doing." "I'm such a bad friend." Khanak said. "No, your aren't." Aria said hitting her arm. "You're the best friend." "I don't miss him." she said, "I miss the idea of him." "The idea of a husband and a happily ever after." "I don't miss him." she said emphasizing the last word. Khanak looked at her friend. " Don't look at me like that" Aria said. "Like what? Khanak asked. "With those sad eyes." "I'm fine, I really am." "I promise." "Besides, I don't want to talk about this or anything negative right now." "Let's concentrate on the happy." "Which is you and Shaan." Aria said smiling.

Khanak smiled back at her big hearted friend, always thinking of others. The girls talked and laughed some more and then made their way back downstairs joining the everyone else. Shaan looked up as Khanak walked in and sat down next to him. "Hi gorgeous." he said softy as he slipped his arm around her shoulder. Smiling, Khanak leaned into him. "You two are so cute." Priya said with a wistful smile. "I want a guy just like jiju, someone who loves me as much as jiju loves di." Arhan threw a pillow at Priya. "All day long, all you think about is romance." "If you spent as much time on your school work as you did on daydreaming about your prince charming you probably would have your degree by now." Priya threw the pillow back at her brother. "Bhai!" "I study plenty!" she said pouting. Everyone laughed. "Dinner's ready." Shaan's mom called. Everyone got up and as Khanak took a step Shaan grabbed her arm. Khanak raised her brows, watching everyone else go ahead of them. "Shaan, let go!" she said sternly glancing back at everyone's retreating backs. "Wait a minute." Shaan said pulling Khanak against him. "Shaan, we have a house full of guests." Khanak said struggling against him. "And we're newlyweds." he reminded her as he bent down and kissed her neck.

"When will dinner be over? he asked still kissing her neck. "When will dinner be over?!" "It hasn't even started yet!" said an exasperated Khanak Shaan sighed. "I love our families but I'm glad we're going back to Mumbai." "All day, between my sisters and mom and dad, and your family, I've barely been able to spend 5 minutes alone with my wife." Khanak looked at Shaan as he pouted. "Shaan ji, we have a whole lifetime to spend together." Khanak said struggling. "Let's go up to our room." Shaan whispered into her ear as he bit her ear lobe. Khanak's eye widened. "Have you lost your mind?" she asked.

"Shaan," "Khanak" she could hear her mother in law calling. "Let go," "let go" Khanak said struggling and as she heard her Mother in laws voice come closer. "In a second." Shaan said as he leaned down and gave her a soft kiss. Then suddenly he let her go. Shaan looked down at a flustered Khanak. "We're coming mom." Shaan said as he heard his mom call them again. Grabbing Khanak's hand he pulled her in the direction of the dining room. He looked completely calm like the kiss hadn't effected him at all whereas Khanak was left all hot and bothered.

The rest of the evening was filled with lots of laughter, and non stop conversation. But every so often she would feel Shaan's eyes on her and feel herself blush. The looks he sometimes gave her made her feel like they were the only two people in the room. She found herself wanting to be alone with him again as much as he wanted to be alone with her. As the evening came to an end and Khanak said tearful goodbyes to her family, she promised that her and Shaan would come to Vancouver soon for a visit.

Shaan waited for Khanak in their bedroom. What was taking her so long? he thought to himself as he glanced at his watch. Ofcourse, his mom had to choose right now to talk to Khanak about something. Why did no one in this family understand they were newlyweds! Looking towards the door Shaan finally saw Khanak walk in. Taking long strides he quickly shut and locked the door and pulled Khanak against him. "Shaan!" she said laughing as he leaned down and kissed her. A slow, sizzling kiss that Khanak felt all through her body. Chances of rational thought went out the door as Shaan pulled her even closer and deepened the kiss. Eventually pulling away, Shaan spoke. "I've been wanting to do that all evening." Khanak looked back at him a little dazed. "Then why didn't you?" she asked smiling as she pulled out of his embrace. "Why didn't I?" "Maybe because you were surrounded by our families all evening long, and the two minutes we did get alone, you spent fighting and resisting me." "Shaan it's just that I'm not a besharm like you are." she said pulling her hair to one side and taking off her earring. "You see a tiny opening and your start, doesn't matter where we are, or who is around." she said as she took off the other earring. "We're newlyweds!" Shaan exclaimed. "People expect us to have out hands all over eachother." "And besides you love my besharmy." he growled at he kissed her neck. Khanak laughed but as he bit her neck she let out a tiny moan. "See isn't it so much easier, when you don't resist and just give in." Shaan said with a smirk. "You know I'm going to make you so crazy, that you'll want to give in anyways, so why even try resisting." Khanak pulled away and turned to look at a smirking Shaan. "You're over confidence in your seduction skills is amusing Shaan Singhania." Khanak said turning back around and taking the safety pin out of her sari palu. "It's not over confidence, it's a proven fact." Shaan said smoothly at he came up behind her. "Last night makes it a proven fact." he said softly leaning down and pushing her hair to one side as he kissed the back of her neck again. "And I plan on proving myself again and again." Khanak was drawn in by his deep sexy voice. "Again and Agiain?" she asked in a dazed voice. "Hmm." Shaan replied as he started unhooking the back of her sari blouse and kissing her neck at the same time. Khanak closed her eyes. "Shaan let go." she said holding back a groan as he bit her shoulder. "Let me get ready for bed." "Let me help you." Shaan said in a rough voice. Turning her around he stared at her with dark eyes clouded with restrained passion. He put his arm around her hip and pulled her against him. Giving her a long, slow, deep kiss. Khanak moaned against his lips. His hand pulled down her sari palu letting it drop to the ground. His hands now rested on her bare stomach. Khanak pressed against him, returning the kiss. Shaan's hands moved down to her hips working at pulling off her petticoat and sari. Dazed Khanak pulled away from his lips and kissed his neck. Moving her hands to his button up shirt. "Not fair." she said softly. "You're wearing too much clothing." Shaan smiled as Khanak's petticoat fell to the floor. "Well, we'll have to take care of that won't we." he said as he watched her unbuttoning his shirt. Pulling off his shirt she put her hands on his chest and moved them up until they were behind his neck pulling his face down she gave him a hot demanding kiss. Shaan couldn't think straight as he slipped her blouse and then carried her to their bed. "God your beautiful." he said looking down at her and then kissing her hungrilly. Their love making was more wild and intense this time leaving them exahusted but happy. They drifted off to sleep in eachother's arms.

"Do we have everything?" Shaan asked as he looked around their bedroom. "I think so." Khanak answered as she applied her lip gloss. She wore a long emerald green and turquoise halter sun dress. Her hair pulled back into a high ponytail, leaving her shoulders bare. Small diamond hoops hung from her ears and her sunglasses were perched on her head. Grabbing her cardigan she quickly looked around. "I think we're good." Shaan caught her around the hips and pulled her to him. "You look pretty hot Mrs. Singhania, it's going to be hard for me to keep my hands off of you." "We may just need to join the mile high club." he said with a big smile on his face. "Shaan!" Khanak gasped pushing him away. "You are becoming incorrigible." "Day and night only one thing on your mind." she said in mock anger. "We're newlyweds." he said pulling her back. "Why is that your answer to everything?" she asked giggling as he tickled her. "Because it's true!" he answered back. "If I didn't think of ways to get my hot wife into bed every chance I got, there would definitely be something wrong with me." " Shaan" "Khanak." Shaan's mom called. Khanak quickly pushed Shaan away. Walking into the room Shaan's mom handed Khanak a tin. "Make sure you pack this with your stuff." "It's halwa for you two, it's Shaan's favorite." she said patting Shaan's cheek. "Thanks mom," Shaan said putting his arm around his mom and kissing her cheek. "Well have a wonderful time on your honeymoon." "What day are you leaving from Mumbai?" "In four days." "We'll get home, get settled a little and then we'll leave by the end of the week." Shaan replied. Pulling away from her son she hugged Khanak. "Shaan, you make sure you take very good care of my daughter in law." "Khanak you tell me if he bother's you, okay?" "Okay, mom" Khanak said with a smirk directed at Shaan. As Shaan's mom started walking to the door, Khanak made a move to follow her. Shaan quickly fell in step and whispered just so that Khanak heard, "Only if mom knew how much you love it when I bother you." With a naughty smile he moved ahead to his mom. Khanak shook her head and gave a tiny smile. He was right ofcourse, she loved it when he "bothered" her.

"I'll see you when we get back Khanak said to Rashi. "Yes, I'll be there in about a month." Have a great time on your honeymoon and lowering her voice Rashi said "I hope bhai let's you actually leave the room to see some of Venice." Khanak elbowed her. "I'll see you later!" she said ignoring Rashi's knowing smile.

Khanak rested her head against Shaan's shoulder as she looked at their entwined fingers. Their flight for Mumbai had just taken off. Sighing she said "Back to reality." Shaan smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Yup, but only for 4 days and then I whisk you away to Venice." "You're right, and I need to get a few things organized before our trip." "Do some shopping." "Shopping for what?" Shaan asked. "I want to buy a couple of new dresses, maybe another swimsuit..." "Why?" he asked. "You won't need them," "Excuse me." she said looking at him with narrowed eyes. "You won't need clothes for what I have planned." "Shaan!" she half whispered, half screeched Looking around to make sure no one heard her besharm husband she said "Control your besharmy please." "We're in a public place!" "What's the fun in that?" Shaan asked He was relentless she thought to herself with a shake of her head and smile. The rest of the flight went about the same. More flirting by Shaan, and more blushing and gasps and giggles by Khanak. Since getting married she'd noticed Shaan didn't even remember what the word shame even meant. But the sad thing was she was forgetting herself as she reached over and gave him a kiss. Anyone that looked at them could see this was a couple truly, madly, deeply in love.

"What are you doing?" Khanak asked as Shaan picked her up in his arms at the threshold of their home. "I'm carrying my wife over the threshold" "Isn't that tradition?" "Yes, but we're over the threshold and at the stairs now." she said with a laugh. "You can put me down now." "Nope, we're not there yet." he said carrying her up the stairs. "Not where Shaan?" she asked. "You'll see" Walking down the hallway past her room he kept walking until he got to his or rather their bedroom. Kicking the door closed behind him he walked to the bed, gently putting her down he followed her down. Suffice to say, they didn't leave their bedroom for the rest of the afternoon.

"I'm going into the office for a couple of hours." "I'll come and pick you up and we'll go out for dinner." he said as he buttoned up his shirt. "Sounds good." Khanak said as she sat on their bed cross legged, a sheet pulled up around her, covering her up. Shaan looked at his gorgeous wife. Her hair all tousled and lips swollen. "Maybe I should leave going into the office today. he said starting to unbutton his shirt. "Don't even think about it!" Khanak said starting to rise from the bed. Dragging the sheet with her. "He leaned down and gave her a soft kiss, and then another until she pushed him away. "Shaan!" "Go!" she said laughing. "Fine." he said with a sad face. "But I shouldn't be longer then two hours." He walked to the the door and with one last longing glance he turned around and left, closing the door behind him.

Khanak took a long shower and slipped on a knee length plum colored silk wrap around dress. Straightening her hair she left it hanging down her back. Her make-up emphasized her pretty eyes. She walked into her old bedroom and thought about moving some of her things over. But then decided to wait. Lots of time for that. As she left and started walking down the stairs she looked around. I need to redecorate she thought to herself. New paint, some new furniture and accessories. Give her home the Khanak touch. As Khanak stood lost in thought in the living room, visualizing what she might do, Shaan walked in and wrapping his arms around her from behind said "hi wifey." Khanak smiled and caressed his face with her hand. "Hi hubby." "You're so deep in thought." "What' up?" Shaan asked. "I'm planning on redecorating." "Just trying to decide what I'm going to change first." "I see." Shaan said looking around. "Go for it." "I'm sure whatever you do will be great." "Just please don't paint our bedroom pink" he said with a shake of his head and disgusted look on his face.

"Actually that was first on my list," she said turning around and giving him a teasing smile. "Pink and purple for our room." "It'll look great." "Pink is a very calming color." she said trying to be serious. "Shaan smiled. "Fine, you can do whatever you like." "Change whatever you want," Hell, paint it in all the colors of the rainbow." "I don't care." "The only thing I care about and am attached to in that bedroom is you." Khanak smiled. "Deal, I'll have a pink bedroom and in return you'll have me." "Naked." he whispered in her ear. "I'm going to need you naked." That'll seal the deal." Khanak gasped and then as her face turned red as she hit him. "Shaan!" "What did I say?" he asked with an innocent smile. Khanak shook her head. What was she going to do with him. And the thought that came to mind about what she could do with him got her all hot and bothered. "ANYWAYS!" she said changing the subject. "Where are we going for that dinner you promised me?"

They went out to one of their favorite Thai restaurants. Being regular customers, they knew the owner pretty well. He came by to congratulate them. Pouring them a glass of champagne he said "You look radiant my dear." Turning to Shaan "Young man, you're a lucky guy." Shaan who was seated across from Khanak brought Khanak's hand to his lips. "I sure am" he replied with a smile. As he walked away Shaan asked softly "have I told you how much I love you today?" "Not in the last hour...I think you're slacking on the job." "Oh, I'm sorry I should rectify that right now." He leaned in and gave her a soft kiss. "I love you Khanak Singhania." "I love you too Shaan." "You make me so happy." she said softy as she looked at him with love in her eyes.

As they ate their dinner, Shaan flirted outrageously with his wife. Sometime making her laugh and sometimes making her blush. "So, I think I've decided what I want to do once we get back from our honeymoon." Khanak said taking a sip of her champagne. " What have you decided?' Shaan asked as he took a drink of his beer. "I think I'll come work with you." Shaan's face lit up. "That would be fantastic." he said. "I think so, and it's our family business, so I want to be part of it." "Last time I was in the office I had seen a proposal for a highrise." "It sounded like a project I'd like to be part of." "Anyways I have some ideas, so we can talk when I join, after our honeymoon ofcourse." "Yes Boss" Shaan said with a smile. "I'm glad you've recognized who's the boss" she said with a teasing smile. "Khanak, I'm not stupid I know definitely who the boss is." "Rick had taken me aside before the wedding and told me if I wanted to keep my wife happy I needed to learn to keep my mouth shut and my checkbook open." "Oh really, "Khanak said trying not to laugh. "Radha has taught Rick very well." "Those are words of wisdom Shaan." "Make sure you abide by them." she said teasingly. "I plan on it, and in return I know you'll award me for accordingly." Khanak looked at Shaan as he gave her a big smile taking a bite of his food. "Accordingly?" she asked as Shaan raised his brows and repeated "Accordingly." Understanding showed on Khanak's face. "Oooh accordingly." she said as she kicked him under the table. "Ow" Shaan said. "That didn't feel very accordingly." he said Khanak burst out laughing and Shaan joined her.

As they walked to their car hand in hand Shaan's phone beeped. Reading his text message he laughed shaking his head. "It's a text from Romit." "Everyone's at U Lounge and they're calling us to come out." "Romit just got slapped again by some girl." "Oh poor Romit." Khanak said. She had a soft spot for Shaan's friend. "Poor Romit?" "Have you heard the stupid lines he uses?" "It's no surprise to me that he gets beat up by these girls." "He's sweet!" Khanak said. "Not everyone can be a smooth talker like you." she said rolling her eyes. "You're right!" Shaan agreed with a serious expression on his face. "I'm pretty smooth." "Hey," Khanak said pulling her hand away and stopping. "That wasn't a compliment!" Shaan pulled her back into his arms. "Do you really think I'm a smooth talker?" "Aren't smooth talkers, all talk and a little fake." "Is that what you think I am?" he asked seriously. Khanak looked at him. "No, there's nothing fake about you Shaan." "You're the most genuine person I know." "Well then my feelings were a little hurt by that comment." "Maybe we should go home and you should make it up to me." "Khanak stared at him for a second and then gasping she tired not to smile as she hit him and tried to pull away. "Here I thought I had really hurt your feelings." she said "I should have known Mr. One track mind would bring everything back to THIS!" Shaan laughed. "You're too easy to tease." he said as he pulled her close and kissed her. "And don't tell me you don't like THIS!" Khanak stopped struggling and not meeting his eyes she gave a small smile. "THIS" "Might not be so bad." she replied. "OH not so bad, try freakin amazing" Shaan said. Khanak laughed, "yeah maybe freakin amazing is a better way to desicribe it." Shaan laughed as he wrapped his arms around her and held her close. "Shaan, we're in the middle of a parking lot." Khanak finally said pulling away. "Let's go see our friends." Shaan agreed and grabbing her hand walking her to the passenger side of his car.

As they walked into the lounge they were instantly surrounded by their friends. Hugs and congrats all around. Bottles of champagne popped open, toasts made. They had a great time catching up with everyone. "Khanak," Romit said with a sad smile." "When am I going to meet a nice girl that can understand the Romit charm?" "When you stop asking girly questions like that." Shaan said coming up and handing Khanak her drink. "Ignore him, Romit" Khanak said giving Shaan a look. "You're a great guy." "You'll meet someone wonderful. "I'm going to find you someone." she said suddenly. "Shaan and I are going to find you someone perfect." "Shaan and I?" Shaan asked his eyes widening. "Since when have we opened a matchmaking service?" "Shut up Shaan." Khanak said pushing him aside. "Don't worry I'm on it." "Let us get back from our honeymoon and then we'll start." Shaan rolled his eyes. "Really, thanks Khanak." "I'm so glad you married Shaan." "He's so lucky." Romit said with adoring eyes. "Hey, Shaan said looking at the worship filled eyes Romit was looking at Khanak with. He put his arm around Khanak. "This is my wife." "Get your own." "I'm trying to." Romit said still staring at Khanak. "I can see that." Shaan responded sarcastically. "But this one is taken." He said pulling Khanak closer. Khanak looked at the two and burst out laughing. "Will you two jokers stop it." "I'm going to the washroom."

Khanak finally made it back to Shaan but not before being stopped by numerous friends and acquaintances who wanted to congratulate her. Shaan stood with the boys when she walked up. "Ready to go?" he asked. "Yes, I think so." she said stifling a yawn. As they returned to the car and Shaan put the car into drive Khanak yawned again. "I haven't been letting you get any sleep lately, have I?" he asked. Khanak smiled as she closed her eyes and yawned. "That's okay, what we've been doing is so much more fun then sleep." Shaan laughed. "We'll be home soon. Khanak nodded sleepily. She didn't know when she feel asleep or that Shaan had carried her upstairs to their bedroom. "Babe, you want to change?" he whispered. Khanak nodded half asleep as he helped her change and then laying down beside her he brought his arms around her so that her face was cuddled into his chest. Kissing her forehead he whispered "good night beautiful" but Khanak was already fast asleep.

here u go with another part!

Khanak, I've got the tickets." "Let's go," "We're going to be late for our flight." "Coming." Khanak said out of breath. Shaan walked into their bedroom to find Khanak sitting on her suitcase trying to close it. "What are you doing?" he asked. "Trying to shut my suitcase." she said as she strained to get the zipper zipped. "How's that working for you?" asked Shaan with his arms crossed across his chest. "Fine" she said red faced. "Khanak, get off that suitcase." "We're only going for 10 days not 10 months." "You don't need so much stuff." "Shaan, we're going to Italy." "Do you know how people dress there?" "Very chic." "I need to bring the right outfits." "Khanak, we are late." "You need to get off of that suitcase right now and take half the clothing out too." Khanak glared up at him. "FINE!" She finally said getting off of the suitcase. Shaan watched as Khanak took out outfit after outfit. "Are you kidding me?" he said as she returned a few more into her suitcase. Moving Khanak aside he looked at the clothes inside. "This is more then enough." he said as he quickly zipped the suitcase. Seeing Khanak's pouting face he tried to appease her "I'm sure you'll want to shop there too, how will you bring things back if your suitcase goes full from here?" Khanak's face lit up. "You're right!" "I didn't think about that." "She quickly opened up the suitcase and took more things out. Shaan shook his head. Mention shopping, and you get a female to do anything. "Ready!" she finally said. "Good!" Shaan said grabbing the suitcase. "Let's go!"

We're in Venice Khanak thought to herself as she looked out at the canal. They were taking a water taxi which would drop them off at their hotel. Hotel Danieli, a hotel that was actually three linked palaces renovated and converted to a a 5 star hotel. Shaan and Khanak were staying in the honeymoon suite over looking the grand canal in the more modern of the three palaces. Khanak grabbed Shaan's hand and squeezed it tight. "I can't believe we're actually here." she said. "I've always wanted to come to Venice." "Last time I was in Italy I only made it to Rome and Florence." "I guess I was meant to come here with the love of my life." she said kissing his cheek. Shaan smiled. "I'm glad you waited for me." "We have a lifetime of firsts for both us." "Firsts that we'll experience together." he said leaning down and kissing her. "I know." she said with a delighted smile. "Hotel Danieli!" the driver of the ferry called out as the water taxi came to a slow stop. "WOW" Khanak said as Shaan helped her out. "It's so royal." she said looking at the towering buildings infront of her. As they walked in, Shaan and Khanak were both taken aback by the soaring triple height Venetian Gothic Lobby. "This is amazing," Shaan said looking around. "Just look at the detail that went into something like this." Khanak smiled. She knew how much Shaan appreciated stunning architecture. As Shaan checked them in, Khanak took in the beauty around her. If this was the lobby, she wondered what their room looked like. Shaan came back with a key card. "We're staying in the Casa Nuova." It's the second palace." he said taking her hand. As they took an elevator up to their room Shaan put his arm around her. "Happy?" he asked. "Immensely." she answered with a smile leaning into him.

"It's this one." Shaan said stopping outside a door. "Oh my god" Khanak said as she walked into the suite. "I love it" She ran out to the balcony looking out at the Canal. "How romantic is this?" she said as she walked back looking at the high ceilings with a 1930's grand chandelier hanging from it. Deep red silk blackout drapes, large marble fireplace with beautiful red velvet chairs sitting next to it. Luxurious white linens on the bed. "I absolutely love it." Khanak squealed jumping into Shaan's arms. "I'm glad cause we'll be spending a lot of time here." he said as he gave her a soft kiss. Khanak returned the kiss. "I love you." she said tilting her head to one side. Shaan smiled. "I love you too." "More and more every day, if that's even possible." he said kissing her again. Khanak pulled away and smiled. "Should we go and explore?" she asked excitedly. "Sure, but let's grab something to eat first." "I'm starving." "Okay let me change and then we'll go." Khanak said excitedly. She saw that their luggage had already been dropped off. Grabbing a fitted knee length sleeveless linen pink dress with white and silver thread work on the bottom of it. Khanak quickly freshened up and changed. Shaan followed suit. "Ready?" he asked. "Yes" she said grabbing his hand and pulling him to the door. Walking outside Khanak asked "What do you feel like?" "Just something easy" "Like Pizza." he said as his gaze settled on a pizza place. "Pizza" she repeated practically drooling. As they sat down and ordered a pizza and glasses of wine, Khanak looked around. "There's so much hustle and bustle." she said. "I can't wait to explore every nook and cranny." Shaan smiled at her excitement. She was like a child in a candy store. As their pizza came and they dug in Khanak moaned. "This is so delicious," "Heaven!" she said taking another bite. "Khanak, can you please stop moaning like that." Shaan said looking around uncomfortably. Khanak stopped and burst out laughing. "Oh you can say shameless things whenever you want." "Do shameless things whenever you want" "But I get a little extra excited over some pizza and that's embarrassing." Shaan smiled sheepishly. "It's just that I like to be the only one that makes you moan like that." he said as he bit into his pizza and gave Khanak a little smirk. Khanak shook her head, smiling.

They finished their lunch and wandered down to Piazza San ,Marco , ofcourse getting lost down various lanes and stopping every once in while for a stolen kiss. Piazza san Marco was the main square in Venice. It was surrounded by restaurants and shops aswell as Basillica of San Marco and the Doges Palace. People and pigeons filled the square. "Oh look someone's getting wedding pictures done." Khanak gushed as she pointed towards a newly married couple. "Its so grand." she exclaimed. Shaan was taken in by her enthusiasm. "Yeah, it's pretty amazing." he said taking in the beautiful buildings and rich history. Seeing a little girl walk by with gelato, Khanak pulled Shaan along to a little gelato shop. "I'll have a scoop of chocolate, hazelnut and strawberry please." "Shaan what do you want?' she asked. Shaan looked at her huge gelato cone. "I'm not sharing." she said. "Get your own." Shaan laughed and shook his head. "I'll have a scoop of the lemon." "You mean a scoop of the coffee right?" she said licking her lips as she looked at the coffee gelato. Shaan shook his head and laughed. "I guess I'll have a scoop of the coffee." Khanak licked her gelato and moaned again. Gelato is the best thing ever invented. " Shaan watched at she ate her gelato. "Here let me try the coffee." she said tasting his. "Yummy, good pick!" "May I try yours." Khanak looked at him and then her gelato. "Fine." she pouted. Shaan laughed. "You're acting like a child, hoarding her sweets." "So be it." she said. "Let's go." They walked and explored and laughed some more. Stopping off at one of many venetian mask stores , they picked out little trinkets as gifts for family.

"What do you think of this one?" Khanak asked as she picked up a gold and black mask that covered just her eyes. "I like it." he answered." "You could wear it for me tonight." he said softly. Khanak smiled slowly. "I could." "Yup, with some sexy lingerie...or not." Shaan added with a big smile. Khanak blushed. "We'll see." she said walking up to the teller and buying the mask. "Should we go back?" Shaan asked looking at his watch." "We can have dinner on the terrace over looking the canal." he suggested. "Sounds good." Khanak said happily as Shaan leaned down and kissed her. As they got back to their bedroom Shaan wrapped his arms around Khanak from behind. "Maybe we should skip dinner and go straight to dessert." he said kissing her neck. "Hmmm," Khanak mumbled turning around and kissing him. "I like the way you think." she said as she returned his kiss. Pulling him closer she brought her hands under his t-shirt feeling his rock hard abs. Then her stomach growled. Khanak pulled away and Shaan laughed. "I guess we are going for dinner after all." he said pulling her back to him and hugging her. Khanak nodded and then joined his laughter.

Khanak and Shaan sat on the terrace of their hotel over looking the grand canal. "It's so beautiful here." she whispered as she sipped her wine. A gondola driver below them sang a beautiful italian ballad as he went by. Someone played the piano in the corner of the terrace and it just added to the ambiance. White linens, silver tableware, Beautiful cream roses at every table. They dressed up for the occasion. Their first dinner in Venice Khanak had said has to be special and memorable. Khanak wore a one shouldered sleeveless, black knee length fitted dress with rhinestones coming up along her neck and up the one shoulder. Her hair in a low bun with a white liy stuck in it. Her eyes defined with smoky make up. Her lips a pale pink. Shaan was dressed in a white fitted button up shirt with a black jacket and trousers. His hair styled in spikes.

"You look good enough to eat." he said his eyes getting darker as he looked at her, over his wine glass. Khanak felt a shiver travel up her back. Clearing her throat she took another sip of her wine. The look Shaan was giving her was a little too dangerous, but worse then that was her own reaction. She felt a little thrill, a little excitement as Shaan watched her like that. Dinner couldn't come fast enough as far as Shaan was concerned. As dinner arrived and Khanak took a bite of her food she stopped herself from moaning at the delicious pasta. One look at Shaan and she didn't think it was a good idea. "You want a taste?" she asked. Putting some pasta on her fork for Shaan to try. But when she looked up at his smoldering eyes she paused. "Yes please." he said staring at her. Khanak stared back. Some how she didn't think they were talking about the same thing. But she raised her fork to his mouth never the less. "It's good, but no comparison to what I really wanted a taste of. " Before she knew it, Shaan was reaching over and kissing her. A fierce possessive hot kiss. When he pulled away, Khanak stared at him trying to catch her breath. She slowly tried to eat her food again, but after a kiss like that the butterflies in her stomach were going crazy. How was she supposed to actually get food down. Wine, more wine she thought as she drank the rest of hers and a waiter poured her more. She forced herself to eat some more. Slowly the wine started to do the trick as she felt herself relax a little bit. "Would you like to dance?" Shaan asked softly as he held out his hand for her. Khanak smiled as she placed her hand in his. They joined other couples on the dance floor. Khanak wound her arms hands behind Shaan's neck and Shaan placed his hands on her hips and pulled her close. Real close. Khanak looked up into his eyes and couldn't look away. They were deep and dark and burning. "Do you know what you're doing to me?" he asked in his low seductive voice. Khanak shook her head no, not being able to speak. "You're making me crazy from wanting you." he said as he softly nuzzled her neck. Khanak closed her eyes and bit her lip. From the moment you walked out of the bathroom wearing this dress I've been thinking of ways to get it off you." he said huskily. Khanak stifled her moan as he pulled her even closer. "Are you finished your dinner?" he asked. Khanak nodded yes. "Should we move on to dessert?" he asked "A small smile appeared on her lips. "Yes please" she said as she looked up into his eyes. Shaan pulled away and grabbing her hand he walked back to their table. "Please add our dinner to our hotel tab." he said to the waiter. Throwing some money down on table for a tip. The waiter looked at the barely touched dinner and the rushing couple, and held back a smile. This was Venice he thought, the city of love.

Khanak tried to keep up with Shaan, but he was a man on a mission. He just dragged her a long with him. As they got onto the elevator he backed her into a corner and kissed her. Khanak was on fire as she felt the kiss down to her toes. Much too quickly the elevator stopped and they had to stop kissing. Walking back to their suite Shaan kissed Khanak three times before actually reaching the suite. Outside of the suite he fumbled with the key as she kissed him, holding his face and bringing his lips closer. Once inside Shaan didn't break contact as he threw his jacket off and pulled Khanak closer to him kissing her over and over again. Khanak fumbled with the buttons on his shirt finally getting the shirt off of him. She kissed his shoulder and bit his neck. Shaan pulled her back for a kiss and reached for her zipper. Pulling it down and then he pulled her hair out of it's bun, letting it fall down her back. Turning her around he pressed little kisses along her nape. "You're so sexy." he whispered kissing her shoulders as he slipped the dress down over her hips and down to the ground. Khanak turned around and let him kiss her again, matching his hot sizzling kisses with ones of her own. Somehow through their hazy passion filled brains they were able to move to the bed. Never once taking their hands or lips off of eachother. Their love making was intense and frantic and after they were finished Khanak felt tears slide down her face. "Did I hurt you babe?" Shaan asked worriedly pulling her against him. Khanak shook her head. "I just never knew it could be like this." "To love and want someone so fiercely." Shaan smiled. "I know, neither did I." He pulled her close to him and she drew circles on his chest. "I love you so much Khanak that sometimes I can't stop myself from showing you how much." Khanak smiled. "I love that you're so passionate." she said. "I love that you can't control yourself because you want me so much." "I hope we're always like this." "This much in love" she said kissing his chest. "I know we will be." he said sighing. Even at 90 when we're pushing our matching walkers and reminiscing about our Venice honeymoon. Khanak smiled as she pictured that. "My walker will be pink." she said. "It'll be faster then everyone else's." "Yes Khanak," "Anything you say Khanak" Shaan said laughing. They cuddled some more and eventually drifted off to sleep.

The next few days were spent doing a lot of the same. Khanak and Shaan made love every chance they got and in between they fit in sight seeing. They spent lots of time in St. Marks Square, Basilica de San Marco was absolutely beautiful, plenty of shopping, Basilica of Saints Giovanni and Paolo, Rialto Bridge, the list went on. They had gelato sometimes 3 times a day. Khanak getting Shaan hooked on the sweet treat. Long delicious romantic meals consisting of different foods and delicacies that sometimes they'd never even heard of but were always willing to try. The second night there, they took a long moonlit gondola ride in which they were so engrossed in eachother they barely noticed anything else. The gondola driver singing a pretty ballad for the young romantic couple. Sometimes they sat on their terrace and sipped wine and listened to the beautiful music that always seemed to be coming from somewhere or someone. They spent hours in little cafes, drinking cappuccinos or wine and eating yummy Italian pastries and talking and people watching and kissing which would lead to touching which would lead to them rushing back to their suite. Venice is filled with lanes along canals going every which way, half the fun for them was getting lost and coming across something completely new. Life was perfect Khanak thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep in Shaan's arms on their 4th night. She didn't even want to think about leaving this beautiful place where it was just her and Shaan and their love.

Khanak woke to the smell of roses, and to kisses. Kisses along her shoulder and neck. "Happy birthday baby." Shaan whispered against her ear as he bit her earlobe. Khanak smiled and slowly opened her eyes. "You remembered?" she asked seeing the beautiful red roses that sat next to the bed. She slowly stretched and then looped her hands behind Shaan's neck. "I love them." she said looking at the roses. "I'm glad" Shaan answered "As for remembering?" "Ofcourse, I remembered my amazing and beautiful wife's birthday." "I wasn't about to forget that." "Happy birthday love" he said reaching down and giving her a soft kiss. He pulled out a velvet box. Whats this she asked sitting up? "Open it and find out." Inside was a beautiful diamond bracelet. "This is gorgeous" she said as she kissed him, smiling against his lips. "This is the best birthday ever." Shaan smiled. "It hasn't even started yet" he said as he pulled her up out of bed. "I have something planned for us so we need to get ready quickly." "I ordered in breakfast for us so we can leave for our destination quickly." Destination, Khanak wondered. But happily got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom.

Khanak wore a pretty magenta colored silk sleeveless romper. Her hair was pinned away from her face. Gold hoop earrings hung from her ears. Shiny lip gloss making her lips even more inviting. "Hmm." Shaan said as he kissed her "Strawberry this time." "Shaan!" Khanak said pulling away and touching up her lips. "You always do that" she said. "I know and you always want me to." he said with a big smile. Khanak turned to give him a look but as usual couldn't stop her smile. "Fine, I always want you too!" Shaan laughed as he wrapped his arms around her. "You've made me just as shameless as you." she said with a straight face. "Could anyone be as shameless as me?" Shaan asked nuzzling her neck. "No, I guess not." Khanak answered with a smile. "Now that we have that settled." Are you ready for your b-day surprises?" Shaan asked. "SurpriseS as in plural?" "Ooh I love it." "Yes , I'm ready." she said as she grabbed her cardigan and purse.

Shaan and Khanak walked out hand in hand and waited at the ferry stop "Where are we going?" Khanak asked. "You'll see." he said with a smile, kissing her hand. Before Khanak could ask anymore questions the ferry came and Shaan helped her on. It dropped them off close to the train station. We're taking a train somewhere. "Yes, we're going to Verona." Shaan said with a smile. "Verona!!" Khanak said excitedly. "As in Romeo and Juliet Verona????" she asked practically jumping up and down. Shaan laughed at her excitement. "Yes, that Verona." As they boarded the train and found seats Khanak leaned in and kissed Shaan. "Thank you," she said softly putting her head on his shoulder. "Your welcome." he said. As they traveled, Khanak received a phone call from her in-laws, everyone taking turns wishing her Happy Birthday and asking about their trip. When she did hang up she rested her head on Shaan's shoulder, smiling to herself. The train ride took just over an hour and as they stepped off the train Khanak was instantly transferred back to her highschool days when she had read Romeo and Juilet for the first time and instantly fell in love with the couple. "You know I've read Romeo and Juliet probably about 50 times?" she said looking around with a smile. "I can recite it from memory now." "Sounds like you." Shaan said taking her hand. "I know what a romantic you are." "I've just stepped off the train, barely in the city and I can feel the romance in this city already." she said happily. As they left the train station and made their may into Piazza del Signori, the central square, Shaan pulled out a piece of paper. Looking it over, he smiled. "We can do whatever you like here, there's lots to see and take in but there is one stop we must make." Khanak gave him a questioning look. "Okay." she said. They walked for a while taking in the sights and sounds. "You're right their is romance in the air." Shaan agreed giving her a sweet kiss. Khanak smiled. "Or you're creating your own romance like you usually do." "Are you complaining? he teased. "No way" she said laughing. Shaan stopped to ask someone about something and nodding returned to Khanak. "We're not far." he said as they started walking again. Soon they turned down a side lane and Khanak stopped. There infront of her was the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. Her eyes filled with tears, as she remembered the balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet. "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East, and Juliet is the sun!" "I can't believe I'm really here." she said as she stood infront of the balcony. Shaan smiled. "Do you want me to pinch you?" he asked. "No, kiss me." she said turning to him. "I can do that" he said with a soft smile giving her a kiss as they stood under the famous balcony. Khanak looked around at all the people. Young people sitting and writing notes on little pieces of paper. Some crying. "Do you want to go inside Juliet's house?" Shaan asked. Khanak nodded, as they walked in she was taken aback by the frescoes, and paintings, the genuine antiques that sat throughout the house. "Amazing." she said. They spent some time exploring and as they left Khanak grabbed a pen and paper from her bag and scribbled down a little note. "What did you write?" Shaan asked. "I wrote a wish, a wish for us to always be as happy, as we are right now." "And that I love my Romeo." she said leaning her head against his shoulder. She looked up and Shaan gave her another soft kiss. "Are you ready to leave then Juliet?" he teased. One last look around and Khanak nodded yes.

They stopped off at a little restaurant and were welcomed in by a lively old Italian man. "Wine was served to them immediately and they both ordered big plates of pasta. Pasta Carbonana for Shaan and Gnochi for Khanak. Khanak has been receiveing texts from friends and family all day wishing her a happy birthday but as she looked at the phone ring she smiled. "Hi dad" she said with a big smile on her face. "Happy birthday sweetheart" her dad replied. "Thank you." "Are you having a good day?" "The best." she said looking at Shaan. Shaan surprised me and brought me to Verona for the day." "That's wonderful." "Shaan is doing well?" "Yes, he's fine." "He says hi" as Shaan made a motion for Khanak to tell her dad hello from him. "How's mom and Ishaan bhai?" "Good here talk to your mom." "I love you beta, take care of yourself and call us when you get back." "I love you too dad, and I will." Her mom came on the phone and wished Khanak next. They spoke for a few minutes before she hung up. "Everyone's doing well?" Shaan asked. "Yes, everyone's busy and healthy and hopefully happy." "Good." Shaan said. Their food came and they dug in. Lunch was like all their meals lately. Full of laughter and ofcourse non stop chatter from Khanak made complete with delicious food and lots of wine. They left waving goodbye to the happy little Italian man.

"Where to now?" she asked. "Well I was thinking we could just explore." he said looking at the time. "We have a good 5 hours to explore before we need to head back." "Sounds good" Khanak said as he took her hand. They wandered through the pretty streets. lined with cafes, restaurants and little boutiques. Khanak stopped and purchased a few trinkets. Then they made their way to the Roman Amphitheater, more commonly known as The Arena. The opera stage in the Arena was the largest in the world. They were swept away by the sheer magnitude of the building. Shaan took in the detail and wondered out loud. "Just imagine what it took to build something like this?" "Especially in that day and age." Khanak nodded. "It's amazing." she said picturing world renowned Opera singers playing in a venue like this. As they made their way out of the building Khanak spotted a gelataria. "Gelato time." she said with a smile. Shaan laughed. "You're addicted you know, and now you've pulled me into your addiction too." as he ordered himself two scoops of hazelnut gelato. "I know, that's why I have to have my fill now while I still can." "You're going to go through major withdrawal when we get back to Mumbai." he teased. "I know, if only I could figure out how to make it." Shaan burst out laughing, almost choking. "What's so funny?" she asked narrowing her eyes. "Nothing" Shaan said as they walked outside. "Shaan Singhania you better tell me what's so funny." "Babe I love you, but you can barely boil water." "Making gelato might be a little above your expertise." Khanak's mouth fell open and she glared at him. "I'll have you know that, in grade 8 my home economics teacher said that if I put my mind to it I could be a world renowned chef." "Did she taste or see any of the food you cooked?" Shaan asked dryly. "Oooh that was low even for you Ajrun." Khanak said pushing him. Shaan pulled her close. "It's okay if you don't know how to cook." "You're good at so many other things." "Khanak looked at him suspiciously. "Like?" "Like turning piles of rubble into 5 stars hotels that are booked weeks in advance, like being an amazing wife, friend, cousin, sister and daughter." "Like the way you dance." "That was the first thing that attracted me to you." "Watching you move." "So damn sexy." he said as he kissed her neck." And then there's the most important thing you're good at, actually amazing at." "What?" Khanak asked. Shaan leaned down and whispered something in her ear. Khanak eyes widened and her face turned red as she pushed him away. "Oh my god Shaan, you are so bad." she said still blushing. "What did I say?" Shaan asked smiling his cute dimpled smile.

They made their way to the famous Ponte Scaligero bridge for a beautiful view of the city. Leisurely taking photos and cuddling and kissing as they looked out at the beauty of the city. Next they stopped off at the Castelvecchio, named the Old Castle. Khanak loved castles, the history and sheer magnitude of them always overwhelmed her. And she learned that Shaan felt similarly to her. Throughout the trip she felt like she had learned so much about him. She always knew he had an eye for detail but sometimes she would find him standing infront of a building, or painting or monument and really taking everything in. Really understanding it. And she found his intelligence so sexy. It completely turned her on when he said something out of the box or had her look at something in a way she hadn't even thought of. "I love you." she said as they made their way out of the castle. "I love you too babe." he said smiling as she swung their arms happily. They made one last stop, back to the Piazza del Signori, the central square. Grabbing some water they wandered through some more shops, and listened to some musicians playing near by. They wandered until Shaan glanced at his watch and asked if she was ready to go. Khanak looked around at the beauty surrounding her, they stood in the middle of the square. People milling around them. Looking up at Shaan she pulled him close and pulled his face down for a hot sizzling kiss. Finally pulling away she said "Thank you for the best birthday ever." Shaan looked down at her a little dazed. "You're welcome." "But you could have waited to thank me later, when there was a bed close by." Khanak giggled and shrugged her shoulders. Shaan laughed as he swept her in his arms and held her close. "You're amazing Khanak Singhania." he said against her hair.

They returned to Venice and had dinner over looking the grand canal again. A small cake was brought out as Shaan sang Khanak happy birthday. She kissed him lingeringly and whispered "let's go back to our room so I can thank you properly for today." Shaan's eyes widened. "Waiter bill please" he called quickly. Smiling at Khanak. They barely made it back to their bedroom, but Khanak did thank Shaan properly and to his delight she wore the mask they bought on their first day in Venice and nothing else.
