Khanak ran into her room laughing to herself and quickly shut the door behind her, locking it,. Shaan couldn't be trusted, he was becoming more and more shameless every day and she wouldn't put it past him to barge into her room and try to start up where they'd left off a few minutes ago. Khanak felt butterflies in the pit of stomach when she thought about that that kiss and then she remembered the look on Shaan's face when she stomped on his foot. That was priceless she thought laughing to herself.
Still laughing Khanak walked into her bathroom. She was going to take her time getting ready today, let Shaan wait a little. He should know she was worth the wait. She took a long shower and then took time blow drying her hair until it fell in waves down her back. She put on a cherry red chiffon halter which had rushing on either side, with it she wore a pair of tight black skinny jeans. She threw on a pair of red pumps and did her make-up to emphasize her beautiful eyes. The only jewellery she wore was diamond studs in her ears. With one last look in the mirror she grabbed her short fitted leather jacket and left her room.
Shaan checked his watch for the fifth time. What the hell was taking so long?! He'd been waiting for 45 minutes. He was going to give her 2 more minutes he swore and if she didn't come down within those 2...Shaan didn't complete his train of thought because at that moment Khanak walked down the stairs and Shaan could no longer think. He stood there just staring at her until she came up to him said "Shaan, you better close your mouth, you're starting to drool." Shaan snapped his mouth shut and then he took a step towards Khanak. Khanak seeing Shaan coming closer quickly walked over to Rashi. Glancing at Shaan she saw that he looked a little confused. Khanak smiled to herself and continued talking to Rashi.
"Rashi why don't you join us tonight?" Khanak asked. "Where are you going?" Rashi questioned. Khanak looked at Shaan who was shooting daggers at her with his eyes. "Where are we going Shaan?" she asked sweetly. " No place I think Rashi would want to go" was his answer. "Shaan, that's rude I think Rashi would have a great time with us." Khanak said as she gave Shaan an innocent smile. What was Khanak doing Shaan thought to himself. If Rashi came, they wouldn't get to spend anytime alone. And with Khanak in that outfit he really needed to make sure he spent some time alone with her.
"No, you two go ahead, I don't feel like going out tonite. I think I might just have a friend over" Rashi answered. "Good idea, okay we better get going" he said before Rashi could change her mind. Shaan grabbed Khanak's elbow and led her outside. "What was that?" he asked Khanak. "What was what? Khanak asked innocently. "Inviting Rashi." "Why what's wrong with inviting Rashi?" "Nothing except we have some unfinished business to deal with." "Unfinished business?" Khanak asked wrinkling her forehead. "I thought we were going to talk about the hotel tomorrow?" "No Khanak, other more important unfinished business, business that can't wait" Shaan responded. "Business that we started up in my room before Rashi interrupted us and before you tried to break my foot." "Oh" Khanak said , hiding a smile. "that business." "You know Shaan you have quite the nerve. I just said yes to us getting to know eachother and you took it to mean you could grab me anytime, anyplace and have your way with me." "Have my way with you." Shaan shouted and then more softly, "Khanak when have I had a chance to have my way with you?" "Either you're falling asleep or you're setting boundaries or you're trying to amputate my foot." "So I ask you when have I even had the chance to have my way with you" Shaan implored
Khanak looked away to hide her smile. Turning back she gave Shaan a no nonsense look. "No, Shaan this won't do." "I think we should calm down on the physical stuff and concentrate on getting to know eachother emotionally." "We should spend all night talking, we can hold hands but let's limit it to that." "Talking, just talking?" Shaan repeated slowly. "That sounds just wonderful he said in a sarcastic tone. Khanak pretended not to hear the sarcasm. "I'm so glad you feel the same way I do." "So here's my hand" she said. Shaan looked at her hand and then at Khanak's face and then took her hand and walked miserably to his car. He had a feeling this was going to be a very long night.
Khanak and Shaan got to the bar and were just walking in holding hands when a guy bumped into Khanak. He looked up at Khanak and apologized and then he started sputtering. "You?!" "You're the girl from the club." he said. Then he glanced at Shaan who was next to Khanak and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. "Shaan??" he choked out. Then looking back at the two of them holding hands, he broke out into a big smile. "Shaan my man" he said slapping Shaan on the back "You are the man!" Shaan closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "akash it's not what you think." "I can't believe you found her" Akash continued without hearing Shaan. "No girl can resist that Shaan Singhania charm can they" Akash said laughing. "Hey, can you help me work on that...I've really been having problems in the girl department as of late and..." "AKASH" stop talking" Shaan snapped losing his patience. "akash this is Khanak. We are seeing eachother. We're past whatever happened that night at the club." Khanak was looking back and forth between Akash and Shaan with fascination.
"Khanak, this is akash, I hate to say it but a good friend of mine." "Hi Akash" Khanak said smiling and holding out her hand. Akash shook her hand looking dazed by Khanak's smile. "Actually you two met at the club that night. Akash or should I say I, bought you and your friends drinks that night." Khanak looked back at Akash, "oh was that you." " I'm so sorry about that. Had too much to drink. that night." Then she gave Akash another 100 watt smile. Akash was a goner. "That's alright Khanak. Shaan paid for it anyways so it was no harm done." Shaan rolled his eyes.
The three of them walked over to the rest of the group and Shaan introduced Khanak to everyone. "What do you want to drink?" Shaan asked as they stood at the bar. "Vodka and 7" she replied. As Shaan ordered, Khanak looked around. Not a bad turnout Khanak thought and there was a dance floor too. Perfect place to make Shaan suffer a little tonight, ahe thought to herself mischievously. "Here you go" he said as he handed her her drink, he took a sip of his own drink and then slipped his arms around her from the back. Khanak stiffened and pulled away. "Shaan, what are you doing?" "Remember what we talked about? Just holding hands and talking okay?!" "You were serious about that?" Shaan asked with a look of horror on his face. "For how long are we just holding hands and talking?" he asked. "I don't know maybe 2 or 3 months" Khanak said hiding her laugh behind a cough. Shaan choked on his drink. "2 or 3 months" he repeated when he could finally breath again. Just then Shaan's friend Serena asked Khanak if she wanted to join the girls on the dance floor since the guys were too busy getting drunk and not interested in dancing. Khanak waved bye to Shaan and walked off to the dance floor.
Shaan stood with the rest of the guys and had another swig of his beer. He looked over at Khanak. She was killing him he thought. She looked so good but she wouldn't let him near her. Not even to dance. When he had made the mistake of asking to dance with her she had stood a foot away from him, holding hands! He loved the passionate Khanak. The way she responded to his kisses. But now with this new only talking rule, there would be no more of that. Shaan didn't expect to make love to Khanak. He knew she wasn't ready for that but no touching, no kissing no anything rule. How was that going to work?! Talking was all good and well, but a relationship had to be both emotional and physical to work. Didn't it? But now that Miss Stubborn Ahluwalia had this hair brained idea in her head, she would never change her mind. He took another long drink. It was going to be a long 3 months he thought to himself.
Everytime Khanak looked at Shaan she could feel laughter bubbling out of her. This was way too much fun she thought to herself as she watched him from the corner of her eye. Then she heard the music change and she smiled when she heard the new song come on

Shaan was mesmerized by Khanak's dancing and if he wasn't mistaken she seemed to be throwing him seductive looks and smiles. He shook his head and cleared his throat, looking away. "Hi Shaan" Khanak said coming up to stand next to Shaan. Stand alittle too close, Shaan thought. "It's so warm isn't it?" she asked giving him a little smile as she lifted her hair off her neck. Shaan continued to stare at her. "What are you drinking" she said as she traced a finger down his arm to his hand and grabbed his glass out of his hand to take a sip of his drink. That was no accident Shaan thought as he looked at Khanak alittle closer. Was she playing him? he thought suddenly. Khanak gave Shaan an innocent smile and brushed up a little closer to him. "Oops," she said as she leaned against him reaching for his drink again . That was not imagined Shaan thought. She was playing him he thought shaking his head at himself. She melted in his arms when he kissed her there was no way she wanted to just hold hands! He had been played he smiled to himself but now it was time for Khanak to have a taste of her own medicine.
They stayed for another couple of hour talking to Shaan's friends, having a few more drinks and Khanak dancing alittle more. Trying her best to drive Shaan crazy. But now, Shaan was on to Khanak. He paid no attention to her, infact he pretty much ignored her. All of her attempts at driving him crazy, her flirty looks went unnoticed, or atleast that's what he led Khanak to believe. He looked away and smiled as he saw Khanak giving him a puzzled look.
What was wrong with Shaan? Khanak thought to herself. He suddenly seemed immune to her she thought angirly. He hadn't tried once to try to change her mind or to ven try to kiss her. This was not like him. Was he actually okay with the 2-3 months no touching rule she thought with horror. She watched him laugh at something his friend was saying and she found herself glaring at him. Khanak continued thinking about the situation until Shaan came over to ask her if she was ready to go. "Yes" she snapped as she grabbed her jacket. Shaan smirked to himself. As they got into the car Khanak felt herself getting more and more irritated. That's it, no reaction from Shaan. She looked so hot and he had given up so quickly. Was that all the attraction he felt for her!
Shaan could almost see the wheels turning in her head. "Did you have a good time?" he asked. "Yeah everyone was really nice" she answered absentmindedly. "Did you have a good time?" she asked suddenly. "Yeah, it was good." "Hmm.." Khanak said. They drove in silence for a little longer when suddenly Khanak burst out "I can't believe you." "Excuse me?" Shaan said. "I just can't believe you?" "Was this all the attraction you felt for me!" "You don't even try to change my mind." Khanak sputtered. "Khanak, what are you talking about" Shaan asked. "What am I talking about? "I've been flirting with you all evening. I've been trying to drive you crazy all evening and you don't even pretend to be affected by it." "Are you immune to me?"
Shaan suddenly pulled off and stopped the car. He turned towards Khanak and put his hand behind her neck and pulled her towards him and when she was an inch away from her he asked "does this seem like I'm immune to you" and then he kissed her. A body tingling, toe curling, sizzling hot kiss. When he pulled away, Khanak looked at him and pulled him back for another kiss. This time she kissed him, deepening the kiss as he opened his mouth. When she pulled away, she leaned her forehead against his. Her breathing was ragged. "So much for just holding hands" she heard Shaan say. She pulled away and looked at him and then the two burst out laughing. Shaan pulled her to him and hugged her. "How can you think I'm immune to you?"" You were driving crazy me tonight all the way till the second I figured out that you were actually playing me." "Hell you've driven me crazy since the second I met you and knowing you, you will continue to drive me crazy." He reached over and gave her a soft kiss. "You don't need to test my feelings for you Khanak physical or emotional." "You know how I feel, since I recognized them I've never lied about them." Khanak nodded. "I know you haven't." "Honestly it was a joke until the joke turned on me. Then I couldn't handle it." Khanak said sheepishly.
"What a surprise" Shaan remarked sarcastically. "If I was to pull something like that I would get my ass kicked." "But you.." "Me what?" Khanak glared at Shaan. "Well you have the upper hand cause you have something I want...so I can never be mad at you for too long." "Because being mad at you will keep me away from what I always want" said Shaan softly. "What's that?" Khanak asked suspiciously. "You're lips" as he leaned in and kissed her again. Khanak felt her lips turn up into a smile.
