chapter 10 :-

Khanak watched Shaan leave and shook her head. What was happening here she thought. It seemed that since Shaan had come into her life she no longer had control of her emotions or actions. Either they were fighting or kissing! She was totally losing control. When she first agreed to go along with this "business partnership/engagement" she thought she would have the upper hand. But lately it seemed that Shaan was the one making the decisions, laying down the law. If things continued this way how was she ever going to work with him. He'd be bullying her and walking all over her. That would not do Khanak thought to herself determinedly. No more nice girl she thought. It was time to show Shaan who was boss.

About 7:00 am the next morning.

Khanak didn't want to wake up. She felt so warm and cozy She burrowed deeper into her pillow trying to fall back asleep, except her pillow felt so hard. Was her pillow always so rock hard she thought drowsily. She was so warm, what was wrong wit her AC? She almost felt like the sun was shining down on her. But ouch, what was that thumping in her head. Khanak again tried to bury her face into her pillow trying to make the thumping stop but the pillow just wasn't giving. She slowly opened her eyes and then quickly shut them. Why was it so bright in her room? Then she listened, she thought she could hear something around the intense drums beating in her head. She thought she could hear water, and were those birds chirping in the background. What was going on here? Khanak tried opening her eyes again. This time slower. Once she'd focused, she found herself staring face first into a very naked male chest! A very large and defined male chest. Khanak gasped as she quickly pulled herself away from this chest. That was no pillow she thought miserably. The sudden movement made her dizzy. I think I'm going to be sick she thought as she closed her eyes again. Her mind was racing, and her heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to come out of her chest. What have I done, What have I done she was thinking. Forcing herself to open her eyes she looked down and saw that she was wearing her bikini top and her skirt. She was on a very large chaise and oh my god...she was on the beach!!!!! How did this happen Khanak thought as she closed her eyes again. Taking deep breaths, she couldn't bring herself to open her eyes to see "who" the chest belonged to that she had been so cosily snuggling up to.

Then she heard the words "hello sunshine" and her eyes flew open. There on the chaise lieing infront of her with just his shorts on and a cocky smile was Shaan Singhania!

Flashback to the previous night around 8:00 pm

Khanak came into the living room and saw that everyone was ready. Shaan was sitting out on the deck with his laptop and his phone to his ear. This was her chance she thought. "Let's go everyone" she whispered. Riya and Sanchit gave her an odd look. "Di why are you whispering?" Riya questioned. "I'm not whispering" Khanak said in a whisper. "Let's go, come on stop wasting time we have a party to get to." The group looked at eachother, some shrugging their shoulders at Khanak's absurd behaviour. "Natasha is still getting ready" Raj pointed out. Khanak gave him a glare. " We can't wait for her and besides she'll have her boyfriend Shaan to keep her company.

"Di aren't you forgetting something?" Priya asked as Khanak pushed everyone to the door glancing back at Shaan who seemed to be in a heated conversation with someone on the phone. Good she thought, now she could make her get away. "Di?!"Priya said again. "What?" Khanak asked impatiently glancing in Shaan's direction again. Priya pointed down at Khanak's feet." Khanak looked down past her white fitted tank top which she wore on top of a blue and white polka dot bikini, past her short flirty tourqoise blue skirt to her feet. "Oh" Khanak said, looking down at her feet. In her hurry she'd forgotten her flip flips. "Okay everyone go downstairs and be quiet I'll be down in 2 mins." she said. Khanak ran upstairs and grabbed her flip flops. and just as she was running out the front door she heard "where do you think you're going by yourself." Khanak looked back and saw Shaan standing there with his arms folded across his chest. "Nowhere, I mean somewhere...I mean...none of your business." Khanak said angrily. Shaan chucked to himself. "Are we really going to do this again Khanak?" he asked. "Fine" Khanak said almost stomping her foot. " Fine I'm going to a party and you're not invited." "Are you invited?" Shaan asked. "Ofcourse I'm invited." she said to him with a "are you an idiot" expression on her face. "Well then I'm invited." he said with a shrug. "Let's go." he said grabbing her elbow. "What, like this? Aren't you going to change?" she asked grabbing at straws. Shaan looked down at his khaki cargo shorts and royal blue Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirt. What's wrong with what I'm wearing he asked. Khanak frowned, nothing damnit she thought in her head as she glared at him. He looked perfect!

"Oh wait a minute" Khanak said with a slow smile. "What about Natasha?" "You can't leave without her, why don't you wait for her and you two can come later." Like I'm going to give you the right directions Khanak thought evily to herself. Shaan gave Khanak a hard look and then yelled "Natasha we're leaving in 1 minute, with or without you." 30 seconds later Natasha came running down the stairs. " I'm ready, I'm ready" she said out of breath. "Let's go." Khanak glared at Shaan and stormed out the door.

The party was two beaches over so they walked. You could hear the music well before you got there. The party was in full swing with lots of people already dancing. Alcohol was flowing freely. Music pumping loudly. Khanak saw Issac Silva, the artist she met earlier in the day through the crowd. He was the one that invited them to the party which was being thrown by a rich friend of a friend. Khanak waved at Issac and he motioned for her to come over.

Khanak turned to Shaan and said "since you're here I'll introduce you to an artist I met this afternoon. His work is brilliant and I think his work would look great in our hotel." Shaan nodded and agreed to come and meet him.

Khanak introduced Shaan and Issac and the three talked business for a few minutes. Shaan seemed to be impressed with Issac's work and knowledge. Khanak in turn was impressed by the questions Shaan asked. The three agreed that this wasn't the place to talk business and that they would meet the next afternoon to go over details of the project and contract. Issac excused himself for a minute when Shaan turned to Khanak. "Good eye" he said, "his work is really good and looks original too. Hopefully we can work through details and have him work with us. " Khanak looked up at Shaan surprised. "Thanks" she said pleasantly surprised by the compliment. Isaac reappeared but not empty handed. He handed both Khanak and Shaan a drink in a shot glass. This drink is a local favourite, and then he made a toast to the 3 of them working together. Khanak happily toasted and took back the shot. Whoa that was strong she thought shaking her head and making a face. "Good huh?" Issac said as he handed her another before she could say anything. She looked at Shaan and he was staring at her. She stared at him and drank back the drink. Strong but this time she didn't mind it as much.

Khanak looked behind her and saw her cousins dancing, she excused herself and ran over to them. The waitress passed by with a tray of drinks and Sanchit grabbed one and passed another too her and Khanak took yet another shot. By this time she was starting to feel more relaxed. There were more people dancing and the music was getting louder. Khanak grabbed another drink and shot it back.. By this time she was well on her way to being drunk. She was in her own little world as she danced to the music.

Shaan watched Khanak dance. The way she was moving to the music she looked extremely sexy. The beach was getting really crowded and people were dancing quite close to eachother. He saw Sunny come over to Khanak and put his hands on her hips from the back. She startled and them when she saw him, she laughed and threw her arms around him giving him a big hug. Pulling away she started dancing with her. Shaan watched from afar, not happy with how close they were dancing. Shaan noticed Sunny pull Khanak close to him and whisper something in her ear. Khanak shook her head and pulled back a little from Sunny. Sunny again pulled her closer and even in her drunk state pulled back, tripping a little at the same time.

Shaan had seen enough. He walked over and cut in. Sunny looked into Shaan's face and saw the anger in his eyes and stepped back and let Shaan cut in. Khanak at that moment tripped again and Shaan caught her. Seeing Shaan she smiled, a tipsy smile. She threw her hands around Shaan's neck surprising Shaan. "Hi" she said in a slurred bubbly voice! "Hi" Shaan said looking down at her. "Here's your drink Di," Raj said coming up to them. Just as Khanak grabbed the drink Shaan said softly into her ear, "don't you think you've had enough Khanak?" Khanak pulled back giving him a glare with her glazed over eyes. "You're not the boss of me" she said as she drank back her drink. Then she giggled and hiccuped and then giggled again. Oh yeah you're fine Shaan thought to himself. Get away from me Shaan, I want to dance" she slurred. Shaan didn't move and within a minute of her "dancing" she tripped and almost fell but Shaan caught her. "Oops she giggled." Then she threw her arms around Shaan's neck and started swaying to the music. Shaan put his hands on her hips to keep her from falling again. Shaan looked down at her and stated the obvious. "Your'e drunk" he said with a small smile on his face. "No I'm not." she said with a hiccup. "Oops," and then more giggles. Then she looked up into Shaan's eyes and said "Shaan you're so cute, cho cute and then she pinched his cheeks giggling the whole time. "Okay Khanak, I get it I'm cute" he said smiling,

"No you're not cute she said with a pout, puppies are cute." "You're...HOT" she said matter of factly. "Why are you so hot Shaan?" she asked with her face tilted up at him like she was asking the most important question in the world. "You think I'm hot Khanak' Shaan chuckled. Nope she said at the same time nodding yes "Do you think I'm hot Shaan?" Khanak asked suddenly. "I think, you're amazing Khanak," Shaan answered softly. Khanak paused and then impatiently questioned "I know I'm amazing but do you think I'm hot Shaan" Shaan bust out laughing. He liked drunk Khanak. "Yes Khanak I think you're very hot." "You better believe it" she said confidently. "Hotter then that Natasha of yours" she said with another hiccup. "She's not my Natasha, Khanak" he said patiently. Looking over to at Natasha he saw that she was thankfully busy with Khanak's cousin Raj.

Suddenlly Khanak pulled away from him. "I want to go for a walk." she said and then she tripped again. Shaan caught her again. "Why don't we just sit instead We'll go for a walk later" he said trying to pacify her. "NO! I want to go for a walk now." With that she pushed away from him and started weaving through people, pushing and tripping as she went. Shaan caught up with her and grabbed her hand steading her and pulling her out of the sea of people. Once away from so many people Khanak let go of Shaan's hand and ran a few steps ahead, catching herself as she almost fell. She twirled and then turned around and looked at Shaan. He had been right behind her ready to catch her if she fell. Seeing him she gave him a big smile and grabbed his hand and for a seond leaned into him again smiling up at him. Shaan felt his breath catch as he looked down at her. They walked some more, at one point Khanak decided that Shaan needed to give her a piggy back ride which he did without too much hesitation. She giggled throughout the ride and Shaan couldn't help smiling. "WAIT!' Khanak suddenly cried. "Let me down." she said to Shaan. They had come upon a beach house and Khanak ran up to the side of it. " Look Shaan a swimming pool she squealed. Shaan I want to go for a swim." she said excitedly. " No Khanak we can't" he answered back. Trying to pull her away from the gate. "No, Khanak pouted stop being a bore. I'm going for a swim" she slurred looking at him with glassy eyes. With that she started climbing the gate. The gate was low but Shaan rushed to help her. What was he going to do with her he thought. He helped her over before she fell and broke something praying that they wouldn't end up in jail for trespassing! Shaan quickly climbed over too and then quickly looked around for a guard dog to come around the corner and attack them. But nope, nothing and no one looked like they were home either.

Looking over he saw Khanak who was struggling with getting her tank top over her bikini top and head. Looking at that gorgeous body, Shaan thought this girl is going to be the death of me. "Shaan help me." he heard her mumble from behind her top. He walked over and helped her take it off, painfully trying not to look at her. Give me strength god he prayed as he tried not to touch her. Khanak stumbled over to the pool and was just about to topple over when Shaan caught her. "Oops" she gigled. Yeah oops he thought as he steadied her and quickly stop touching her trying not to think about how soft her skin was. Shaan took off his shirt and then slowly sat Khanak down so that she could gently slide into the water. Doing the same thing himself. Khanak went underwater and Shaan pulled her back up. She looped her arms around his neck and pressed herself against him smiling up at him. Shaan unwrapped her arms and moved away from her. Khanak frowned and pouted. Oh god the pout Shaan though. Khanak moved away from him and her head went underwater again. Alcohol and swimming pools don't really mix Shaan thought. Khanak caught his arm and tugged it so that he was now hugging her. She looped her arms around him again.

"Shaan tell me something" she slurred. "What do you want to know?" he asked taking deep breaths. "Ummm tell me something about me" she said. "About you? What do you want to know about you that you don't already know...you're stubborn, and arrogant and bull headed and you have a very short temper and you think you're always right." Khanak hit him on the chest. "You're mean she pouted and tried pushing him away." "Okay fine, fine. Along with all those fine qualities you're also very caring, your loyal to a fault and protective of anyone that's yours. Your intelligent and caring and funny, and beautiful, extremely beautiful. You're confident and not bothered by what others may think of you, making you a true individual. You have a short temper but you don't hold grudges. "What you see is what you get with you, you don't know how to be fake, infact that might be one of your best and worst qualities, you wear your heart on your sleeve." You love fiercely and can hate fiercely...believe me I know about the hate. Khanak looked up at him and said in a slurred voice "I don't hate you Shaan." Shaan looked deep into her eyes knowing that she probably wouldn't remember any of this tomorrow.

Shaan you're so sweet she said with a drunken smile. "Shaan, kiss me she suddenly demanded closing her eyes. "What?"Shaan said loudly starting to back away from her. But Khanak had wrapped her legs around his waist. " KISS ME RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW" she demanded closing her eyes and pursuing her lips. Shaan looked at her with horror "no Khanak I'm not kissing you. That is a very bad idea, very bad. Khanak if possible pulled herself closer to him and then suddenly Shaan found himself pushed against the pool wall. "Khanak" he warned "get a grip." "You are going to regret this tomorrow and blame me! We can't do this. I can't trust myself to stop at just one kiss." he said. "FINE" she snapped and stared at him pouting. Then Shaan saw the glint in her droopy drunken eyes. " Fine Shaan, you don't have to kiss me. I'll kiss you!" And before Shaan could react Khanak was kissing him.

Shaan paused for a split second but then with a groan kissed her right back. The kiss was hot and intense and they broke apart for a second before they grabbed eachother again. Khanak pressed herself closer to Shaan, and Shaan broke the kiss and then kissed her neck groaning and telling himself to stop. But any chance of coherant thought ended when Khanak reached over and kissed him right below his ear and then bit his earlobe. He turned Khanak around so that she was the one pressed against the pool wall and kissed her again and again. He could hear Khanak's little moans and feel her hands on the back of his neck pulling him closer. The kisses became deeper and more and more intense, they didn't know how long they stayed there kissing and holding eachother.

Finally Shaan pulled back. "Khanak we have to get back everyone must be looking for us" he said as he leaned his forehead against hers. Both were breathing heavily. Okay she whispered. Shaan helped her get out of the pool and put on her skirt. He grabbed his shirt and her hand. "I'm so tired Shaan" Khanak said stumbling as they got back over the gate and back onto the beach. "Khanak don't worry we'll be back home soon." Shaan quickly texted Sanchit letting him know that Khanak was with him. "Shaan I'm so tired can't we sit for a bit" she asked sleepily. "Yeah we can do that Shaan answered as he spotted the chaise. Shaan laid back against it and Khanak laid down next to him snuggling into his chest. "We'll stop for 2 minutes he said and then we'll go." "Okay" Khanak said yawning. Shaan smiled down at her and kissed her forehead. What am I going to do with you Khanak he thought to himself. You're weren't in my plans but now I can't imagine any sort of plans without you. Looking down at Khanak he saw that she was fast asleep against his chest. Shaan smiled and closed his eyes too.

its too hawt update hehehe this is nothing. hmm so only this much for today ok i will eb wroking on chap 11 and 12 :) and will post 2morrrw morning tik then bye and comment long long ok :)

umm thinking to start a FF completly diff from this 1 wat say should i, i have 2 updates ready for that ff, yeah tha 1 is hawt too !!yet romantic and simple !
