Shaan: Thanks! (on her neck)

Khanak: Shantanu? (pushing him away)

Shaan: Are you always dreaming of some one else?

Khanak wriggling to get out from under him.

Khanak:Ughhh

Shaan: You slept for over 8 hours Khanak, abhi utho! (linking his fingers wit hers)

Khanak: Nahi!

Shaan: Fine! Go back to sleep!😳

Khanak: Aaap hatiye!

Shaan: nahi!

Khanak tries to turn away from him trying to lay on her side, he wont let her move

Khanak: What time is it?

Shaan: Going to be 7 soon!

She looks at the window, its still dark out!

Khanak: How soon?

Shaan: In an hour and a half!😉

Khanak: Abhi kahan chalna hai aapko? Please mujhe soney deejiye!

Shaan: No Khanak! (looking down at her)

Khanak:Please!

Shaan: Ritu ka phone aaya tha!

Khanak: Kab? (perking up)

Shaan: Raat ko

Khanak: Oh! Why didn't you wake me?

Shaan: And get myself killed? No Thank you!

Khanak Hmmphh!

Shaan: You should talk with her! Kal bhi baat nahi kee tumne us se

Khanak: Phone deejiye

Shaan: Neeche hai.

Khanak: I will call later.

Shaan moving to his side, letting her go''.

Shaan: You can call her now if you like

Khanak: Nahi, main'. (stops)

Shaan: Kya hua?

Khanak: I don't want to now

Shaan: You want me to leave you two alone?

Khanak: Nahi, main akele neeche nahi jaoongi! I will wait until day light

He throws his head back on the pillow and laughs out loud

Khanak: Its not funny!(upset)

Shaan: It is to me!

Khanak:Aapko kaise pata neeche koi intruder nahi hai?

Shaan: How do you know he will leave once its day light?

Khanak: Ummm

Shaan: (turning sideways and facing her again) Khanak?

Khanak: I am afraid of the dark OK

Shaan: Yeh to tumne mujhse kal kaha hi nahi!

Khanak: Sorry bhool gayi! Ab main so jaaon?

Shaan: Nahi! (hand on her waist, sneaking up)

Khanak: I am never going to get out of this jet lag! (sulking)

Shaan: You will.

Khanak: Hamesha roz subah 4 baje uthkar baith jaoongi to?

Shaan: Trust me!

Khanak: I would have been asleep'.

Shaan's face is lower and closer "Lets make the most of it now?"

Shaan: Are you wearing the thing you got yesterday?

Khanak: Hmmm

Shan: I love it!

Khanak: This is the only thing I liked''' (looking at him deeply) everything else I bought was to make you mad!

Shaan: And did you succeed?

Khanak: Umm''''. mmm

Shaan: You should just keep em

Khanak: nahi! I don't want any of it''' (turning away from his seeking mouth)

Shaan: None?

Khanak: shantanu''..I '

He kisses her

There are sounds of her bangles mixed with husky laughter followed by some audible groans. Later'..

Khanak: Can we come back in the afternoon, so I can take a nap?

Shaan: Sure! We don't have to go any where if you don't feel like it. I am all for staying in (mocking)

Khanak: Thanks for the kindness but I want to go out!

Shaan: How are you feeling this morning?

Khanak: Good!

Shaan:I wanted us to go to UMASS today and may be a few sights around Boston?

Khanak: Mere friend se milne chalenge kya?

Shaan Who is this guy?(curious but not showing it)

Khanak: He was a year older than me in the Program

Shaan: Which one did you go to?

Khanak: I was in Housing, minor was Urban Planning.

He gently trails his fingers on her waist band of her night clothes.

Shaan: What was your favorite subject?

Khanak: History, Theory and Criticism of architecture and Art.

Her eyes sparkle

Shaan: Why did you choose architecture?

One of his fingers sneaks in'..

Khanak: I am not answering until '.. aap apna haath hatayiye

Shaan removes his hand from under his head!

Khanak: Shantanu'''(holding the wrist that's over her belly button)

Shaan: I am just minding my own business''..

Khanak removes his hand from her exposed mid riff, they tussle over it.

Shaan: When you dress yourself, what do you wear first?

Khanak (turning red) None of your business!

Shaan: What did you think of me when you first met me in the conference room?

Khanak: Smug!

He laughs "Not good looking?"

Khanak: Nope! (looking away)

Shaan: So why did you not study history?

Khanak: There are zero jobs! (serious)

Shaan: Hmm

Khanak: I had to study something that had a good job potential

Shaan wanted to ask her if there was a compelling need at that time, but stopped himself from asking, he knew she could suddenly clam up and he wouldn't get any answers

Khanak: I loved architecture

(There! She already steered it out of the family issue. Some things were just going to take time)

Shaan: What was the best thing about Delhi?

Khanak: The food!

He was thinking she would say "Sooraj"

She wondered if she should say "Sooraj" but changed it to food just before it popped out of her mouth

Ok chalo...I loved the whole update as usual...but parts and segments that I will caryy for the rest of my life...

1. He knows she is annoyed...she throws a fit and is a kid..when she is missing her sleep...she wont eat..so so real...but he wants her to down something nevertheless...He knows she has not eaten must be hungry and so takes the liberty to order for her..but does not turn down her "order" for water either...

This is such a contrast to the Shaan of even a week back...when she was not eating or eating less...he would be annoyed but never act bossy and force her into food...Now after her revelation of how much she craves for him and cannot think of life without him...after him knowing his position he takes control completely...

And control in the right sense...cause at the end she does finish the pizza even when she ordered for just water. He knows how to tackle her...he is neither too strict..nor too soft...he will be patient with her tantrums but will not let me do damage to herslef in the process

2. Love the steering...There is something so beautiful about not touching and yet protecting...about keeping a distance and yet being so close...whether his guiding her to cross the road even after she has hurt him to not extent...or whether his chosing a slightly dim lit place for dinner to show mercy on her eyes...well...when you have all of this...who needs an "I love you"

3. "Even in her sleep she is so wary of him"...wow! Well when dreams are made of him..why wont she be...

4. I loved her act of being unaffected when he played with the straw on her hair...so much like her...confess about your feelings and then immediately behave like he does not affect you

5. I loved loved loved...how you blended the dream with the reality...how her dream of playing with the pet merged into Shaan...very well thought of and brilliantly executed...Now on everytime when my pups nuzzle ..I will grin away like an idiot!
