Shanak OS : On the Beach
Shantanu and Khanak walk to the beach hand in hand with her head resting on his shoulders'.The moment Khanak sees the shore she s overwhelmed with joy ' samundar ' she squeals with joy and runs towards it leaving Shantanu behind'
She removes her sandals' drops it on the sand and runs to the sea' Shaan watches and smiles at her childishness'.He recollects her innocent laugh from the champak scene'
Wonders how much life has changed '.But he is still smitten by her smile and the 'khanak' of her choodiyan'
Khanak wet her feet in the water'and was enjoying the breeze and the way how the sea touched her feet and went back only to meet her again' she was enjoying the bliss with her eyes closed' She felt incomplete'But knew very well what was missing'.. Her Shantanu..
She turned back to see him smiling at her' She raised her hands towards him and gestured him to join her..
He simply mouthed a 'No'
She frowned.. and pouted a little.. She looked like a baby.. he thought..
He kept his hand over his heart' gesturing her that it pains when she doesn smile.. and starts walking towards her'
She smiles..He gives her a light hug'' "Aap jaanthe ho ki aap bade dramebaaz ho"'to which he replies "Jaantha hoon and for your kind information tum bhi kam nahi hein"'
Khanak : tho chalein
Shaan : kahaan'room .. haan haan chalo chalo bahut saara kaam hein.. room mein.. gives her a naughty smile and tugs her to him'
Khanak : Shantanu'. Hits him on the shoulder'main paani ki bath har rahi thi..
Shaan: nahhin yaar'tum jao'mujhe pani mein bheegna accha nahi lagta' tum janti ho na'
Khanak : Shantanu ' pleej .. mere liye' pleej pleej pleeej'pulling his T shirt'
Shaan : hmmm
And they walk towards the shore'.
Just before the wave could hit Khanak s feet.. He lifted her off'. And laughed..
"Shantanu mujhe neeche chod dijiye.. kya kar rahe ho aap"'.he places her down but again lifts her off the ground before the next wave comes'
Khanak s irritated' "Chaliye hatiye.. Aap bhi enjoy nahi karte or mujhe bhi enjoy karne nahi dete"..
"Accha tum sahi kah rahi ho'muje koi interest nahiin hein paani mein beegne ke liye'.lekin agar tum chaho to mein beegne ke liye tayar hoon.. lekin ek shart pe..
"Kya shart kaunsa shart"
"Mujhe ek kiss chahiye abhi ke abhi"'he said with his best flirtatious smile and and tracing his lower lip with his fingers
"Shantanu " she yelled wide eyed' "yahaan.. beach pe' nahiin' mein aisa kuch karne waali nahi hoon"
"Soch lo khanak"'( huskily )
"Nahiin shantanu" ( blushes )
"Teek hain to mein chala jaaonga' tum aaram se pani mein bheegkar aao'. Jaldi.. but zyaada door mat jaao.. its not safe'"
Saying this he walks back to sit over a wooden plank on the sand'on the way he picks up her sandals which were strewn wide apart'.
He watches her lovingly' her hair playing with the wind'and her tender feet playing with the waves'
He never once moved his gaze away from her'
He was disturbed by his cell phone ringing'
He was cursing the caller for distracting him " hey rahul.. whats up dude.. tum mujhe mere honey moon pe bhi nahi chodte ho yaar" hello' rahul'hello hello
He turns with his back towards Khanak and walks away to get better signal'
He s talking on the phone when he hears a loud "Shanatanu "'.It was not the loving "Shantanu " he always had heard'He felt a pang of pain and fear in his chest..
He turned around'.to see if khanak was ok' But to his shock.. there was no sight of her'.
He screamed her name "khanak " khanak "
No response at all'
His face lost all colours'. He felt he couldn move his limbs'.He felt his body shake with fear'..
He realized the depth of the situation and ran frantically towards the sea'.Fear crept within him'" have I lost her "
He stopped for a while to see her sandals lying on the wooden plank " Khanak " was the only words that managed to come out of his lips'with a lone tear from his eyes'..Thoughts of losing her and living a life without her flooded his mind'He shook himself off these thoughts and ran to the sea calling out for her'.
He went into the sea and started searching for her..He also took a dive inside to see if he cud find her but all in vain' He cursed himself for leaving her alone'
He stood there with his eyes closed ' waves pushing him now and then until her tiny hands wrapped around him from the back'
He opened his eyes .. turned around to see his Khanak ' who he thought he had lost forever - smiling at him " Ab to aap poori tarah bheeg chuke hein" she laughed not realizing the pain she had put him through'.
Shaan was so relieved to see her.. he hugged her tightly'' but soon his face was beaming with anger.. he held her arms tightly' jolting her out off her laughter'"Kitna ghatiya mazzaak tha Khanak' Tumhe kuch andaaza bhi hein ki mujpe kyaa beet rahe hoge'
He looked intensely into her eyes waiting for an answer'..
She realized what he went thru... She knew how it is to lose your love'her eyes welled up'" Sorry Shantanu ". But he didn respond' and looked away from her and took his hands off her'
They were still standing amidst the waves'. When she lost balance and slightly swayed'Shaan held her arms again in a reflex'.The pain of losing her flashed again for a second'
He closed his eyes reassuring himself that it was a bad dream'opened them to see tears freely flowing from her eyes' wiped it with his wet hands' cupped her face and touched her forehead with his and whispered " pls khanak pls is tarah dubara kabhi mat karna'. pls.. mein tumhe sapne bhi ko nahi saktha "
Saying this he held her by her shoulders and they walked to the shore'
Khanak stopped walking'Shantanu turned to see her'she cried out loudly" Sorry Shantanu" and hugged him tightly'.before kissing him on his lips..He did not stop her and kissed her back'.The lips moved against eachother with love assuring themselves that not even death shall part them'.
They broke off from the kiss after awhile and they walked on the silent seashore'.her hands around his waist and his hand on her shoulders while the other carrrying her sandals'.
THE SETTING SUN IN THE HORIZON ADORNING THE SILENT SEA STOOD WITNESS FOR THEIR UNDYING LOVE'..
ps... I really ran out off imaginations.... lol.. And was disturbed by a million calls and messages.... Hmph
