Jess,
W&W😆
Its not happenin anytime soon yaar
Coz if it does, then my FF will become a crap fest like the show is today.
There is no sign of the leads and Sasha and hubby are being forced down our throats.
We ask for a meaningful love story and we get this😡😡
My FF unfortuntaley will not head there😃
RBO,as it is today is what happens after ILUs are said. I dont want to replicate the "gem"😃
Woh heera to bus Star One par achha lagta hai😃
Every plot line every interaction, every story turn after October has been meaningless and irrelevant
I really dont care to write pages and pages of Saas Bahu drama, or bring on utterly meaningless characters in the name of "comedy" just to prove how much love ShaNak are in.
I cannot imagine this Shaan saying "I love you Khanak"
"Oh but I love you Khanak"
"I love you so much Khanak"
"I love you a lot Khanak"
Our reel hero seems to be reassuring Khanak daily, by saying "Tum mujhe aise hi achhi lagti ho"
"Main tumse bahut pyaar karta hoon"
"Khanak, tum aise hi sundar lagti ho"
I would rather delay the ILUs
If a person like May laments the quality of the show and wishes Shaan Khandelwal does something meaningful in life then I strongly feel the show must a total crapfest😭😭
She has been totally patient, forgiving and accepting and appreciative of anything and everything thus far.
I saw a post of hers recently where even she wished Shaan would do "something".
Mere story mein ILUs bilkul end mein hoga.
I will not have them say ILUs to each other multiple times in every part and extend the story.
There is no story left in such a situation.

I completely agree with Ad...

Jess...I am a believer of relationships and connections where you never have to say I love you...in real life, and in reel...to me the constant I love you is like the whipped cream over chocolate ice-cream...it looks great, but tastes artificial..and frankly unecessary...
What a story it would have been ...if shanak went through life...
Him taking care of her when she is sick
She joining a course and he helping her in her homework
Him getting a promotion and crazilly trying to call her first
She having him in her prayers first
Him making coffee for her every morning
She ironing his shirts again when he knows there is an important meeting
Him refusing to go for drinks with friends becos she is waiting for him
only to return home to find her fast asleep on the sofa waiting for him.
She and Him fighting over the remote control
She eyeing him to give up in a chess game
He willingly doing it
She glaring at him when He is teasing her among friends
Both of them knowing too well that making up shall be all that more enjoyable..
Both of them ordering in a resturant and finishing off each other's orders
Both of them taking long silent walks
Both of them having long phone talks
Both of them missing each other and when they meet...make up sessions take a bow...
Love is not looking into each others eyes...it is holding hands and looking into the same direction...
Love is never having to say I LOVE YOU...

I completely agree with saaz and aditee
Seriously hamare RBo mein shanak ki bonding kuch is tarah hi dikha dete
Instead of showing that crap Sasha and her husband humne shanak ki love story ki demand ki thi, Hume mil rahi hai sAsha ki love story and what they are doing fitting shanak in sasha's love story
aur shatanu kO to surf trp ke liye hi rakha hai

PART 39

Grand Hyatt to Chembur
April 15th
9 PM Onwards
Shaan: Do you want to go pick out your ring, some weeknite next week? (walking out of the restaurant, a step behind her)

Khanak: Umm' its OK'' its not a big deal ("Oh! God! What am I getting myself into" haunted her)

Shaan: It has to be sized. You can bring Ritu along if you like (walking the hallway slowly, towards the lobby), she can help you choose?

Khanak is suddenly reminded of how she is even going to break this news to her.

Khanak: I can ask her (finally one answer in the affirmative)

He stops in the lobby, just behind the door

Shaan: When is your birthday? (looking at her)

Khanak: Not for a couple of months.

Shaan: There is probably a date you were born? (mocks)

Khanak: June 24th.

Shaan: Thanks. We should be married by then, so we can plan later.

Her heart drums away, the vibrations travel all over her body.

She nods, and agrees inaudibly.

Shaan: Wont you ask me mine? (amused)

Khanak: Yep!

Shaan: November 11th

"over six months away! If this whole infatuation business is over by then, I might not even be in touch with him then"

Shaan: Shall we?

Khanak: Ya, sure!

He steps out and shares his license number with the employee at the paging desk.

The gold Merc slides up, soft as silk.

Shaan: Thx! (to the driver, as the driver fishes out what seems like a couple of Rs.100 bills for the turbaned hotel employee that held the door open for her)

Khanak: You will be really late. Maybe you should drop me at the nearest local?

He completely ignores her.

Shaan: Pehle Chembur

Driver: Jee Sir!

Shaan: We should really start working on a rule that we don't fight in the car.

Khanak: I '..

Shaan: I know you will say "I did not start it". You talk very little but you sure know how to push my buttons.

Khanak: And you mine! (smug)

Shaan: And you were upset we have nothing in common? (looks at her)

The driver hits Sirius, it starts playing Classics Forever, "its been a hard day's night"

They ride without saying a word to each other for a few minutes

Shaan: Dad texted me, he wants you to go with me to pick out a color for your car.

Khanak: Oh! I don't need a car. I don't even know how to drive (shocked)

Shaan: We can get to that later. We have him (points with his head)

Khanak: I am really OK. He is yours

Shaan: Nope! He is Akshay and mine. Mom and Bhabhi have their own. They are extremely hard to please. Dad travels a lot, but not as much as Bhayya. Dad's driver Dharam has been with us even before bhayya was born. We've had this guy Pradeep for the past 10 years I believe, points to the guy driving. I love to drive. So when Bhayya's in town I drive.

Khanak: Akshay bhayya ka naam hai? (she says "Akshay" a couple of times) That's a beautiful name"

Shaan: You think so? He doesn't care for it much. You should tell him that sometime.

Khanak: I love that name'' Akshay!

Shaan: He is awesome, you will like him a lot. You need to start talking more.

Khanak is blushing again.

Shaan: To cut a long story short. Pradeep will drive you. Bhayya has already spread the word, we should find another guy soon.

Khanak is terrified for some reason travelling alone with a driver.

Shaan: Don't worry I will ride with you to work for a few days (caring)

Khanak: Nahi main cab le loongi''. Or VT se local. (nervous)

Shaan: What? (his wife in a local?) Nevermind Lets talk about this when we are not in the car. Don't think about it now.

His phone has beeped and rang multiple times, he either disconnects or reads the msgs.

She wonders "Just HOW MANY people know him" she had less than 15 people in her phone book, 12 on last count, including Ram, Ritu and Nivs. She did not have Shantanu.

Shaan: Can you go on Wed? To pick out your ring? I believe he said something called Notandas? (checks his texts) Yep! That's where Mom & Dad's wedding jewelry was made he said.

Khanak: Umm''. I guess (a feeling of being hurtled down a roller coaster takes over)

Shaan: Akshay was in Sao Paolo last week. Dad postponed his trip also, otherwise they could have gotten something from someplace else. (Discreetly referring to better choices). Bhabhi got a De Beers for her anniversary three months ago.

Khanak: Oh!

Shaan: Is there some Gujarati tradition that needs to be looked at? He wants to know.(curious)

Khanak is nervous and jumpy "I haven't spoken with Aada, since evening. Bai ko pata hoga. I have no idea" (OMG! Where is my life headed? She wonders "A Punjabi man? Her husband? I have NO CLUE about any thing Punjabi. Just what is expected of me after the wedding?") "I don't think we exchange rings in my culture"

Shaan: Oh! Really?

Khanak: Bai ko keh doongi. She should know (completely unprepared)

The driver pulls into her complex. The kids playing cricket pause, and stare, and play a guessing game about the make and the model. It's a very modest township, his car creates a "talking point" every time.

He steps off also, escorts her to the lift.

She gets off at 4th, he steps out also, since its only past 10:30 televisions can be heard through closed doors.

He leans on the wall, one foot up, hands in pocket. She thinks "NOW what?"

Shaan: Do you want to go out to dinner over the weekend?

She thinks she must spend as much time with Ritu as she can, talk to her parents to see if there is any hope of ending all this.

Khanak: I want to be with Ritu (tucking her hair back behind her ear staring at his collar)

Shaan (releasing her hair from behind her ear with a swift stroke of his right index finger) You seem extremely nervous and scared Khanak. Why?

Khanak: I DON'T KNOW!(whiny)

Shaan: Just relax and delight in the feeling (caring). We can fight all you want when you get home (he means his house).

Her heart throbs like a captive butterfly's wings held between fingers.

Khanak: I've never even argued with anybody. Its just you.(child like innocence) You bring out stuff in me I didn't know existed (stunning him and shocking herself again).

Shaan: Ditto! (intense)

Hey Bhagwan! Zor se bhaag ke aayi morning ka update ko lekar likhne ke liye yehan toh aur ek dhamaka mil gaya!! 😃 Thank u Aditee ji! And madam I know I may be mass murdered but don't u dare make them say ILU 'n' number of times now! I too want that to be delayed! As much as possible! Yep, don't want it to end like the show where now Shaan seems to worship her literally like y'day. Mujhe diabetes ho jayegi itni mithas se!! I prefer dark chocolate which tends to be a bit bitter! Less calorie too! 😆 So yeah pls I agree with Saaz & u & want to see their love prolonged!! There will be that X-factor to look forward to! And too much of ILU kills the impact & meaning! A mere look from Shaan can erupt a volcano of love & yet he doesn't need to mouth it! 😃
Ok now back to ur updates. Ok my 1st ooohhh lala moment, they sat close leaning towards each other when she was checking the photo in his camera. Not touching, not very close but yet the proximity was conspicuous! Again my kinda romance! 😃
Before going all gaga I like this dilemma in Khanak, this turmoil...again very pragmatic!! She was desperately in love before got married & was happy & suddenly was given a jolt by fate & lost that very smile & laughter she once was a picture of. And now suddenly a charismatic guy is pursuing her, openly acknowledging his raw desire for her & when she is unwilling directly goes to her family for a marriage proposal & yet is unmoved from his stand as to why he is marrying her!! In this situation Khanak's quandary is very justified. Only comfortable point is Khanak too is madly attracted to him & is liking his open admiration & to some extent enjoying it as well. But still all of a sudden knowing why Shaan wants to marry her, how Madhavi dislikes her & how her life will change majorly I can so relate to her situation about caught between a rock & a hard place...here too hard a sculpture!! 😆 Ok jokes apart I really felt for her here.
And seriously now even I am wondering why a guy like Shaan is so hell bent in marriage!! Seriously only for his attraction? Obviously he will realise much later that he loved her from the beginning, his body knew heart didn't add up the 2 & 2 but still in the very end I would want to know what made him take this decision to marry her!! I am loving it though. Why is it always a guy who is not an open book is always intriguing?? Starting from Mr. Darcy to ur Shaan it hasn't changed at all for me!! 😃 The more complicated the guy the better it is for read!
I love the way he talks, with authority, with HONESTY (very important & unique in this day & age), with steadfastness, with surety & with confidence...he though gives her all the chance but still it depicts he will have the final statement! And he gets his way too!
Khanak was first adverse to the idea of marriage, he got around to it, then to the idea of informing the office & for her leave, that too he got his way, she objects to his drinking but he openly does it, no 2 ways about it, then her change of surname which she said NO but he was firm about that too & finally the engagement...another shocker which came like a googly to Khanak & before she could hit it she was clean bowled!! 😃 Art of manipulation, ur Shaan is the definition of it! Baaten manana inn se sikhna chahiye! 😃
Oh and I too painstakingly take olives out from my pizza or simply inform not to put them beforehand! I was smiling reading that! And I am sure next time Shaan will make sure if she orders a pizza it will be olive free, with his photographic memory & observation I can so see that!
Every little said points & the unsaid looming over them all throughout was brilliant!! She wanted to scream at top of her voice that attraction can't be the base of marriage & yet she couldn't because he always had a way about putting things forthright in his open outright manner & moreover her heart betrays her too! 😃 She wants to be pursued, want to be desired, wants to be needed, wants to be wanted & yet wants to resist the obvious! Seriously kya M&B likh rahi hai re tu!! I am dying of happiness! 😃
And yes ur Shaan is a TAKER in blocks, he will demand it if something belongs to him or if he knows he is entitled to it!! So yeah its better Khanak realises this from now on before taking the plunge!
And my 2nd ooohhh lala moment was that tasting of the cake & then the sauce from her fingers & not letting her hand go & caressing her pulse!! Man Aditee, teri charan kahan hai re, photoo bhej, frame karwake rakhoongi!! 😃 I really had goosebumps reading that part! It was sooo, u know s**y! If gesture or a mere look can kill then its ur Shaan! She still sat there eating her cake with the sauce?? Kaise? I almost fainted merely reading it!! It was simply erotic.
And I loved, adored, devoured that brazen bold statement of Khanak about not jumping in bed with him!! Finally the cat is out of the bag! And I am sure he didn't expect that all of a sudden but maybe knew she wouldn't be outright forthcoming about this! And what a stirrer that Victorian fantasy comment was! He knew she feels guilty about being attracted to him after Sooraj's demise & under no circumstances he would encourage that. This time the jealousy on Sooraj was not funny but very serious! He knows it will take a lot of time for her to be back to her old self! And this time he wants to be the cause of it all!! Solely he himself! Call him selfish, call him possessive, call him territorial, call him demanding, but thats the fact staring right there at our face.
And finally they r making an effort to know about each other! Even merely polite conversation devoid of tension is a starter! Obviously that 'aap' comment was a reminder of our show's golden era but it fits here perfectly. Its Khanak, its her culture, her upbringing, her nature there.
Ummm many scenarios r again conjuring up my mind but a cliche M&B style repartee is popping up. When Khanak will be in dilemma till the moment he drops her off in her apartment mulling over the engagement, leave & marriage issue he will very casually lean forward & whisper in her ears 'let time take its course & don't harass urself too much with all this, just let urself go with flow. If not then maybe this will help...' & there he gives her a big sensuous kiss which will rock her equilibrium to oblivion & in the process it will tilt ours as well!! 😆 Yeah I know, I know its too cliched & common but sometime common is good to welcome the uncommon!! 😃
Needless to say how much I enjoyed, had fun, was thrilled, ecstatic & elated in reading the last 2 updates! I so wish re we had something along this line in our show! I would have died multiple sweet deaths! 😃 U r an amazing writer! 👏
