I am spamming ur thread here but my heart is going 'dham, dham, dharam, dharam...'. Seriously u still have kept the last parting goodbye scene up ur sleeve shielded in secrecy!! Its killing me now! Will u be updating again tonight? Pls bata dena mujhe!!

And as if marriage & engagement was not enough now she has to go & pick the ring!! And then choose her car & driver, I can see how perturbed she must be right now with all this turn of events coming up one after another. Truly she didn't know she will get married ever again in her life & suddenly everything is knocking at her door, no wonder its an overwhelmingly nervous feeling!

I loved that 'home' comment from him, that was so endearing in midst of all that turmoil. It was welcoming as well. And I partly got my answer about why Shaan is hellbent in marrying her. She brings out something in him that he himself never knew even existed! She puzzles him, intrigues him, is a question mark to him & he wants to know more about & of her, he wants to delve deep to find the person, to bring forth a submerged soul who was spontaneous & lively once. This factor of fascination is making him step towards the altar!!

I am loving it so much Aditee!! I did buy a sandal today but the pleasure I am getting now is nothing compared to that!! Seriously! I will go & re-read it again!

One Question -

Why is Shantanu rushing up things ... ?? Its just like he is hurling one thing after another at Khanak !!!!!

Awww Khanak would definitely be nervous/scared ... He is not letting her have timee to think/act/react ...

Pooor Soul ... .She has no choice Left !!!!! His tastes are tooo richierich... Car and DeBeers!!!!!I personally dont want Khanak to do things as he wants it .. especially all these materialistic things... I hope you give her space of her own !!!

I love the Khanak who has Simple Living .. High Thinking !!!!!

Great Update once again... Hoping to see Khanak open up to him more!!!!

Lovely..simply beautiful the conversations are...about getting to know one another...learning about one another...a lovely process of discovery and rediscovery...

I wanted to know if its just coincidence or you have intentionally put their zodiacs as a Cancer and a Scorpion! Because it is a beautiful touch...so real...and Scorpions and Cancers score a 5/5 ...they are attracted and the attarction lasts...

Keep it going Aditi...this FF is turning into something else...something more than just fiction!

@Lana: Love you comments...Especially the usage of the word "territorial" ..reminds me of lions defending their areas against other males.

@Saaz: High five...so I am not the only one who removes olives...need to tell people around me that...they find it silly! Actually once to save the effort put into removing the olives ..I tried ordering a pizza without it...the guy was too shocked.

Olives ki kahani tho idhar bhi wahi hain ... remove or order one without it 😊

Everything was so romantic, his holding her hand, not leaving it for a long time, her trying to remove, his taking her bite of the desert, his talking about ring, car color (why just the color, why no the car I mean model, make itself... jo bhi hai ... ) it was fun

His asking for a dinner date on weekend and her refusal in Ritu's name ... shit ... pat haan bolna itna aasaan hota tho ...

The line "You bring out stuff in me I didn't know existed " and "Ditto!" was just too good ... I love this ShaNak a lot

Anyways, am waiting for the update, now I stopped guessing what will come, every time expect something, you give a different perspective which is more apt ...

so all I can do is wait anxiously, impatiently (and smiling over the last updates) 😳 for your next update

Souma thanks but that was a very deliberate usage, 'territorial', here Shaan did remind me about the King of the jungle who is all prepared to protect his family & territory! He has always been that guy with the attitude 'tresspassers prohibited' as far as Khanak is concerned! 😃

And I agree with u this short story is now much ahead of merely being a fiction! Slowly its taking over my free time & dreams! 😃

@ rbo_d_best - I think I know why Shaan is pursuing Khanak so seriously not giving her much time to mull over things. He knows if Khanak gets too much time to think over this marriage issue she will back out some way or the other. She will concoct of some means & ways to get her way out of his life & obviously he doesn't want that. He wants to strike when the iron is hot! To stun her into being his other half & of coursewe all know his attraction for her is there as a major driving force! 😃 I may be wrong & Aditee can correct me if I am so!

I really dont care to write pages and pages of Saas Bahu drama, or bring on utterly meaningless characters in the name of "comedy" just to prove how much love ShaNak are in.

I cannot imagine this Shaan saying "I love you Khanak"

"Oh but I love you Khanak"

"I love you so much Khanak"

"I love you a lot Khanak"

Our reel hero seems to be reassuring Khanak daily, by saying "Tum mujhe aise hi achhi lagti ho"

"Main tumse bahut pyaar karta hoon"

"Khanak, tum aise hi sundar lagti ho"

I would rather delay the ILUs

If a person like May laments the quality of the show and wishes Shaan Khandelwal does something meaningful in life then I strongly feel the show must a total crapfest😭😭

She has been totally patient, forgiving and accepting and appreciative of anything and everything thus far.

I saw a post of hers recently where even she wished Shaan would do "something".

Mere story mein ILUs bilkul end mein hoga.

I will not have them say ILUs to each other multiple times in every part and extend the story.

There is no story left in such a situation.

I beg to disagree here as in a opinion.

Saying ILU is not a fickle thing. It sure is a perspective.

1) It is important how and when ILU is said. When in love, if either lovers say ILU without meaning it then ILU is essentially a fickle statement.. said just for sakes..

2) But on the other hand which is the case with your ShaNak and generally all the ShaNak.. of all FF's and the original... they mean it. Then the ILU is like icing on the cake as saaaz put it... but to me it seems like it is a necessary evil as well as it adds magic to the relationship for sure. IMO...

I am sure even if your Shaan Gujaral is different here than the original, he still loves her deeply. I see his attraction as nothing but love. As I said it is a perspective. So for me it is love and I believe that even after one admits their love by actually saying ILU there can arise tons of difficulties in a relationship... that is the story of life...

Now you have said that in the show... it went down hill after the ILU... Yes I agree it did.. but it was not because they said ILU... it is because they had a nice track, but badly manhandled it. The MMS issue, his working... yes there could have been tons of things which they could have pursued.. but it is not their forte!! We all know that, hence a string of FF's from us, halla bols, requests... etc...

The issue here is life after ILU.. your story I have followed so far and have understood Shaan as having a depth.. a character. Yes he is certainly different than the original.. Same goes for Khanak. But they are after all the same humans whose heart usually rules.. they fell the same feelings and qualities of a normal red blooded human being.. love, hate, jealousy, frienship, intellect... and much more.. You have portrayed all these very well... in your FF... Applaud you for that. And as I again say in my perspective, at this point if he says ILU to Khanak, it will definitely make her happy!! She will even marry him, but here again will come her sanity to her rescue.. her inner doubts that will start to rule her rationale... she will ask questions to her belief.. he did say ILU.. but does he really mean it or is it another one of his nuances which will get her to marry him and then he will tire of her... or something on those lines... It could be anything that is your prerogative. Had I been in your shoes I would think like this... again it is a matter of perspective. I am not mentioning this to make your change your FF.. It is your brilliant creation and I respect you as a writer and creator immensely. But this is an opinion in which I have firm belief...

Sigh about saas bahu saagaas.. I dunno as I have never watched them. This will never turn into a saas bahu saga as it is a love story. That has lived in your FF no two ways about it. Your protagonists have carried this FF very nicely and are doing very well indeed... Only opion I have is that by saying ILU at this stage ar even a little later is not going to affect your story later. Neither will it end prematrurely...

All in all I know that this might not be agreeable to you what I opine, but just thought to put my thoughts and perspectives to you. Show you how I see the other side of the coin!

Saying ILU maybe if not constantly, but at least once in a while..makes a world of a sifference... a simple heart felt happiness that expresses the joy and love in the form of ILU will change the smallest of joys to a deep satisfaction. As I have stressed from the beginning... It is a perspective... yours was and is not important to say ILU.. I am trying to show you the other side of the coin...

Love is not looking into each others eyes...it is holding hands and looking into the same direction...

Love is never having to say I LOVE YOU...

Yes saaaz you have said it beautifully... love is everything.. and it can be expressed with a mere look, gesture or anything... all the above that you quoted for their story which sadly was not.. and it could ahve been... But still in spite of this all... saying ILU strengthens that love. I am not saying he should be doing nothing but just mutter ILU all the time.. Nope.. that is like artificial.. but no.. once in a while if he looks into her face and murmurs his heart's feelings.. see this side of the coin...

Love is never having to say I Love You... yes.. but imagine the feelings this simple three letter words will evoke.. see this side of the coin... It makes a world of a difference to that same love...
