The Blue guitar

'Ouch! It hurts badly' Khanak cried while throwing herself into the couch and looked at Shaan who was busy doing some work with his laptop. In no time he reached to her and asked 'what happened?' looking at her ankle that she has covered with her hands. He sat on the bed and pulled out his hand to help her to ease the pain she has complained of. She cried louder when he pressed on a particular spot saying that it hurt her more. He was careful when he rubbed her ankle and she jumped out of the bed without giving him a hint of what has happened. They exchanged a quick glance and he gestured at her asking what has happened. 'Shantanu, you are being fooled! Did you notice today's date, see it is first of April' she laughed out loud thinking that she has won with her prank on him.

Shaan felt that history repeating in front of his eyes again. He walked out of the room in silence unable to bear the torments again. It was the same thing that he had been doing with his closest friends; he never knew that it would ever turn their lives upside down ever. He sat on the bench staring at the dry leaves that moved lazily on the ground with the rhythm of the gentle breezes. They indicated the condition of his mind as though they wanted to make him feel that he was among them. He took three dried leaves and kept on the bench and uttered 'Sam, Rahul and Shaan'. He touched the leaves with his hands and piled those as one before getting up from the bench.

'You still miss them, right?' Khanak asked from behind but he ignored her words and started to walk away. 'No, you can't do this. Tell me I swear that I can help you' she spoke again while spreading her arms in front of him. Shaan pushed her off and started walking again but he was stunned with her words this time 'Shantanu, you can run away from me, but you would never run away from yourself' she was right. He could ignore her and the rest but it would not be a relief to him, he has to make her understand that he was not ignoring her but he was trying to forget what had happened.

Shaan walked to Khanak and knelt in front of her with his hands on his earlobes and asked for forgiveness. It could be the golden opportunity for Khanak to know more about his bitter past so she said 'you could be forgiven only under a certain condition.' Shaan agreed with her because she was the reason why he has tried to change himself so far and also she has been his pillar of strength from the moment she stepped into his life. 'Ok, now promise me that you are going to tell me what made you upset because of my small prank and nothing should be hidden' she held onto his hand that he offered as an assurance to her. Together with their hands entwined with each other they walked towards the car because he wanted to be alone with her while he tells her about him.

'What is this place all about?' Khanak asked while getting out of the car. Shaan closed his eyes as he remembered the times he had spent there with his best friends. He touched the faded names written on the wall and started to dig his buried past.

Rahul and Sam laid the foundation to their relationship right then and little did they know that it started with lies. Shaan was the only one besides Rahul who knew the whole truth about their relationship which was more of a challenge. He did not care of anything else other than music and he succeeded with his mission to be the rock star of the college. They tend to spend most of their times together practicing music and Shaan was not only famous for being a rock star but he was famous as a prankster among his friends. He loved to challenge his friends on different things and he believed that he was lucky as he won the challenges most of the time. But he is not yet able to face the hardest challenges in life still.

Shaan was informed by Rahul that he and Sam had some problems in their relationship, but he was not the best person from whom one could seek advices. He helped Rahul in his immature and funny style with the 'truth or dare' game. It was his bad luck that they decided to play the game on first of April and they used the blue guitar to spin around the table. Shaan never being serious towards life took it easy and sticked on to the truth side thinking that he could fool the others by saying that he was celebrating the April fool's day. He hesitated when Sam asked her the serious question but he could not lie to her in order to make her happy because he had learnt to be true to himself and others from his Daadi. He answered 'yes' as he was left with no other option and hence the misunderstandings began among the friends.

Shaan took the blue guitar out from the car and touched the strings carelessly. He has not lost the touch and the feel still as he continued to play it until he become exhausted. Khanak tilted her head to one side and widened her eyes upon seeing this and determinates to clear up the misunderstandings as Shaan had kept his passion hidden for so long. She nodded her head as she made it clear with her heart that it was a woman's promise, a wife's promise to help her husband.

Yeah...but on a sad note I'm out of my FFs and hoping to get back them during the weekend...Like last time once I start I won't be able to finish😆😆😆

Anyways glad that all you are so patient with my mood...

I should have done a better job with 'turn back the clock' and I'm not happy with that at all.

I have come up with the second one because then only I could get the next part connected with this one....What ever way it goes, the seperation is due to a misunderstanding and Shaan believes its his fault.
