Ramayan in top 50 list

Ramayan, which catapulted NDTV Imagine to the no. 3 slot in prime time not only continues to be the channel driver but has also entered the list of top 50 shows on GE channels. The Wednesday episode of week 24, 2008 (July 6 to 12), rated 3.2 TVR and occupied the 42nd spot. NDTV Imagine now has five spots in the top 100 shows on GECs with Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi Ki Joint Family also taking its place in the top 100 shows.

The success of the channel continues with a renewed growth in GRPs. Ramayan is not only recognised as the catalyst for the revival of mythological serials but its dubbed versions are creating waves in the south across the Sun Network on Sun TV in Tamil Nadu, Gemini TV in Andhra Pradesh and Surya TV in Kerala. Since its launch in January, the show has been watched by 88 million viewers.

the story starts when ramji went to catch the deer&lakshmanji went in search of lord ram.

THE RAMAYANA
Ramayana is one of the three great epics of indian mythology.

Ramayana was written by sage valmiki.the epic is illustration of duty and obedience.

The backroundof the birth of this great epic was infact tragic.The sage valmiki was absorbed in thougt,at the banks of the river TAMSA.all of a suden, he heared the wailings of a KRAUNCHA bird.The sage was taken aback by this pitious sight A male bird was killed by an arrow of a hunter.

The ramayana is a flow of tragic emotions.It is a tale of partings.In the very beginning Rishyashringa is parted from his father.later rama is banished.Finally sita is exiled and rama spends the rest of his life in lonliness. This holy epic is a source of inspiration and enlightment for many men who seek to move away from the path of sin. The three characters namelyRama,sita&hanuman are illustrative in their own way.
the sincerity in their duties,is needed a challenge to all of us.
