Thanks, Khalrika, for spelling out the story.

The rakshasha part somewhat dazes me. Kalki ought to be fighting the UN, as well as all the world governments and bringing them down. Why pretend that rakshashas are the only evil in the world? Or is the usage of the term 'rakshasha' figurative?

Also, if it is a world conflict, why are only Indian names used? Shouldn't we expect names from all over like Andy Chen, Anatoly Krokov, Mahmoud Yassin, Kathy Becker, Charles Brown, Fernando Calderon, Lisa Zhou, et al?

Oh, rakshas is figurative. From the way the Kalki story reads it looks like there will be 2 factions. One faction consists of Kok, Bikok and their side kicks. One of side-kicks' name is Jin. A lot of people are saying (including western experts) that Jin is probably Chinese or some Far East premier of that time. I found this part very interesting. Kalki is not the leader of any nation but only the commander of the 'allied forces.' During the war, he will get defeated by one of the side-kicks (forgot the name) but he wins over the side-kick (the side-kick will have a change of heart when he sees Vishnuji as Kalki) and Kalki marries the side-kicks' daughter Ramaa or Roma or something like that. A peace treaty is signed with this side-kick. Eventually Kok, Bikok, and their minions are killed by the allied forces with Kalki as their commander.

He then establishes the good people who fought with him as 'kings' of various nations and then Satya yuga starts. Kalki avatar ends with Vishnuji going back to Vaikunt. Kalki avatar is supposed to be more powerful than even Krishna avatar. Also, more devas, apsaras, and other celestial being will be born as ordinary human beings during that time to help this avatar as the scale of evil is supposed to be humungo.

Indian names were used by the people who wrote the story in the various purans. They were, probably, not well versed with the names of other countries. From the description of the war, the countries, and other things it is clear that it is not India.

One thing I found interesting is the return of polygamy here - Kalki having both Padma and Ramaa as his wives🤔 In the past, I can understand, but in the future?🤔

I find that interesting too. The funny thing is unlike Ramavatar, where Sita gets a lot of importance, Padma and Ramaa/Ruma/Roma (all these variations are found) are not given too much importance. So, some religious people contend that Padma and Roma are actually Mahalakshmi (Sridevi) and Bhoodevi (the 2 consorts of Vishnu).

Padma is born on an island. This island is very prosperous and beautiful. The significant aspect of this island is the presence of many aircrafts. The island is described as having lots of Vimana flying in the sky.

Kalki himself will be born in Shambala to Vishnuyasha and Sumati. He will have 4 brothers (I think, I don't remember the exact number). He will have brothers. Shambala is supposed to be a hidden kingdom in the Himalayas which will become known to the outside world only after Kalki's birth. Interestingly, the Buddhists have a similar story. They believe in a Shambala which will be unknown now but will become known in the future.

I found all this info while researching the Mayan calendar. Okay, I do not believe in the end of the world scenario or anything like that but I was curious about this topic. There are many people who seem to believe that the world will end in 2012. Some of them are linking the stories from the Kalki, Vishnu, and other purans about Kalki avatar to the Mayan calendar.

According to some, Kalki will be born in 2012. According to others Kalki will make his presence felt in 2012 and that's when this big war will happen and Satya yuga will start.
Personally, I do not believe in this 2012 nonsense 😆🤔 (strictly IMHO) 🤔😆 but I ended up reading about the predictions in the Kalki puran, Vishnu puran, and other purans.

Anyway, I do not believe that the world will end anytime soon but it was fun reading up on it. I do believe in the Kalki avatar though. According to traditional Hindu scholars Kalki avatar is set to take place 5 lakh years from now.

So, if the war would start in 2012, do we all survive the annihilation or not? 😉😆
Interesting speculation on this topic though.

I have a question from Ramcharitmanas:
When Luv Kush fight their uncles, do they only fight LBS and tie up Hanuman or do they fight with their cousins too? Was it a "fight to kill" or only to defeat the opponent? And do Ram and Luv Kush actually fight or does Valmiki intervene and prevent the battle before it happens?
