Mandodari & Sita
Another thing I've sometimes wondered - how did Ashkavati & Yudhajit react once they found out what Kaikeyi had done? Were they proud of her, or ashamed? Remember, one of the conditions on which Dasharath was allowed to marry Kaikeyi in the first place was that her son would be the successor to him on the throne. This wasn't a demand made by Kaikeyi, but by Ashkavati. Depending on how they reacted, it may or may not have made sense for Kaikeyi to return to Kekaya for good.
I also can see why you like the kinder, gentler version of their relationship, but remember - Rama's exile wasn't the only sin Kaikeyi was ever guilty of. During their marriage, after the incident with Shambara where Kaikeyi saved Dasharath from getting killed by manovering him out of there, she became Dasharath's favorite. Unlike Rama, who spread the love, Kaikeyi's way was to rub in that fact that she was the favorite, and deliberately disrespect and slight Kaushalya & Sumitra - something not shown in the serial. As a result, Kaushalya & Sumitra never had a happy marriage, and when they finally did enjoy Dasharath's last moments, it was too little too late. It's also in this latter context that Lakshman's fury at Kaikeyi when he learnt of the exile makes more sense - unlike Rama, he was not Kaikeyi's favorite, so he'd have noticed more closely the shabby treatment Kaushalya & Sumitra received at Kaikeyi's hand. For this reason, while Rama's magnanimity was admirable, the side effect of that was that Kaikeyi also got away scot free for her misbehavior towards Kaushalya & Sumitra.
Anyway, thanks for your observations.

The only place I've read your account is on Wikipedia, and there, they failed to cite any sources for that. Can you cite any?
Manthara (Sanskrit: ?????), (also Kooni in some versions) [1]in the Hindu epic Ramayana, is a servant who convinced Kaikeyi that the throne of Ayodhya belonged to her son Bharata and that Rama should be exiled from the kingdom.
In one version of the story, Indra, the king of devas, asks Manthara to convince Kaikeyi to ask Dasharatha to exile Rama, because only when Rama is exiled will he face Ravana and kill him. Although Manthara agrees to do Indra's bidding, she curses Indra that, for the wrong he made to Rama, he would never be prayed to by any Hindu family. This is claimed to be the reason why Indra, despite being king of the devas, is never worshipped in any temple or family.[citation needed]
Indeed a fabulous episode today.... Ramji was being very expressive when hugging Nishad Raj. They could have shown Sita performing Pooja to Ganga Maiyya.
And it was nice they showed Manthara instead of leaving a loose end there. But I remember in their earlier Uttar Ramayan, after the Rajyabhishek, Ram & Sita come to seek Manthara's blessings. In one version, Manthara is actually said to be very affectionate towards Ram initially and it is Indra who asks Manthara to poison Kaikeyi's mind so that Shri Ram would be able to fulfil the purpose of his avatar. Manthara agrees to do it but curses Indra that for this wrong act towards Shri Ram, Indra would never be worshipped in any household.
@ chandraketu ---------REALLY if kaikeye was like tht ,i mean she was full of attitude only becaz she saved RAJA DASHRATHS LIFE & i hv also heard tht kaikeye was proud of her beauty
great tht lakshman was neve rfon dof kaikeye ,lakshman was truly right then !!!!
yeah !!! in the show this proud & full of attitude face of kaieye was not shown ,
so sad tht kaushalaya sumitra received less love of RAJA DASHRATH only becaz of kaikeye !!!!!
great tht bharat taught a good lesson to kaikeye !!!
& Lakshman was neve fond of her !!!
i am sure kaiekyes father & brother wud hv been ashamed big time on her shameful deed of sending RAM to the exile !!!
in todays episode RAMJI was also great ,terrific & soooooooooo emotional when he hugged VASHISTHA RISHI !!!!😛
all praises for GURMEET FOR his natural acting !!!!👏
