A really good episode today.
Sita's longing, Hanuman's message, Sita's blessing, Hanuman's joy, Ram's reaction on overhearing the vanars, Lakshman's anger and Ram's reasoning, Vibhishan's humble apologies - excellent!
The promo was the same that was telecasted for the previous episode.

Each character portrayed their emotions very well - special mention for Lakshman, Hanuman, Sita and Ram (Vibhishan and Trijata too).

I was hoping they don't show the maya Sita concept. Anyway, I'll post more on it after watching tomorrow's episode.

ditto!! but in today's epi Ram does say to Lakshman that Sita had been stationed with Agni and that he has to recover her back😒 so then , i think its gonna be the same concept......
I too am waiting for tomorrow's epi ...
today's epi was wonderful, 'emotions galore'

Beautiful episode but why the maya Sita? I do not know if my reasoning and opinion makes any sense. Please let me know if this makes any sense.

Ram says that Sita in the Vatika is maya. Ram will not tell a lie and Sita being "maya" is true. The whole kidnapping by Ravan was just a maya/leela of Vishnuji and Mahalakshmiji to kill Ravan. So, in a way Sita's capture and imprisonment in the Vatika is just maya, an illusion that was played out just to get the bad guy. Once the illusion is removed (walking through the fire as a symbolic gesture of the illusion, that is maya, being over) the "real" Sita comes out. I don't think it should be interpreted as 2 different Sitas at all. I know a lot of prople have been doing that over the ages.

This is strictly my opinion guys. So if you don't like it that is okay. Only be a little gentle when you let me down. 😆

For that matter, in general sense a ;Woman' herself is illusion and not just Sita alone. The spiritual aspect of sita harana is alright but when we're talking about Ramayana as history , it does make sense that Ramayana has a lot os social importance attached to it and the abduction of Sita had a lot of socio-political impact ,individualy for Sita-Rama and for the kingdom of Ayodhya as such.

Correct , The concept of two Sitas has been cleverly used by some authors of Ramayan but its not convincing enough. Actually it demonstrates that those authors had some prejudices when it came to the 'way' Sita was abducted ; Kamban Ramayana makes Ravan cleave the earth and carry away Sita.....Kamban couldn't think of Ravan touching Sita, similarly tulsidas describes that the 'real' sita had been with agni even before Ravan abducted her and thus at the time of agnipariksha Ram makes her walk through the fire so that 'real' Sita comes out. Here Tulsidasji doesn't even want to say that the Sita abducted wasn't real. Why did they resort to such things?? Out of hatred towards Ravan? Or was it that since Sita was divine she shouldn't be touched??
The irony is that, In Valmiki Ramayana Sita enters the fire without any oath of chastity Valmiki describes that she entered fire because she was furious at Rama's harsh words.(she was human in Valmiki Ramayana), while in Ramcharit manas she is made to vouch for her integrity, honesty towards Rama saying "Mann kram vachan puneeta" .....because she was divine .?
(no offence meant to Mahakavi Kamban and Tulsidasji)

What a great episode! I loved the visual treat of agnipariksha. Thanks Sagars! 👏👏👏
I am glad they did not show any maya Sita. How come they did not show Dhasrath? In Valmiki Ramayan Dashrath come down too. I was waiting for the emotional reunion between father and son. Great epsiode nevertheless. I loved the way Lakshman was so upset when Ram was telling those harsh words to Sita.

I am gald they included the dialogue where Ram said to Brahmaji that he is just a manush. In Valmiki Ramayan those lines are so beautiful and shows the humility of Vishnuji's Ram avataar.

I think the words go: Aham Manusham manye Ramam Dhasharathathmajam.
Translation: All I know is I am a man and the son of Dhasarath.
