I believe that since Shri Ram took vanvaas, he was always staying in a kutiya (dont know the proper name for it) and not in a luxurious tent which is shown in Ramayan. i guess from outside it looks like a kutiya but not from inside. it was forbidden for him during vanvaas . it's a blooper?

even the doubt arise in mind too... but the thing is that they are not there to create kuitya over there they are for war...even if they create seprate for Kutiya...for Ramji then in that case.....it will become most highlighted one...and can be easily targeted.....as ppl.. during wars only create camps...............,not kutiya......so, ithink this is the logic one.....rather than creating kutiya....

Its so because its war time. during wars soldiers used to live in tents n not in Kutiyas. even today also. ..tents can be easily built anywhere n can be easity moved. Shivir is the word for tent. soldiers used to live in shivirs n not in kutiyas. that's the reason.

During the time period of vanvaas, he was not supposed to entrust himself with any kind of luxury. whether it's a war or he's in a jungle. He was not allowed to go inside any "nagar" and devoid himself of all luxeries. "tents" or any kind of "pucca mahal" was ok for the rest of the army, even for laxman.

Hmm...I think everyone has a point. Maybe the Sagars should have made the tent a little less luxurious? But the war theory sounds correct too.
