I am a die-hard Gurmeet fan, and this is news to me! I had no idea of what Gagan said ,etc etc! Anyways, as Janaki said, the original statement by Gagan might not go well with Gurmeet fans, because Gurmeet himself has already played Ram ,and that version was hugely successful too! However, it is also probable that Gagan did not have any wrong intention when he said so, and he just made a casual statement. However, what is most probable is that Gagan might have said something quite different, and the article writer actually added words of his own. My experience in IF, and with other various articles prove thats the case most of the times. So I would request Gurmeet fans not to react on that particular statement made by Gagan, because in all probability,it was made by the media( for obvious reasons).
Same goes with this article. So this hate mail business might not be true at all. However, even if it is, I am sure that none of the GC fans of IF I know ( and I do know many) did anything of this kind. However, if still some immatured people exhibited such behaviour, I apologize to Gagan fans on their behalf, and I would also like to tell those ppl involved in sending hate mails not to show Gurmeet's fans in bad light by doing such things. In fact Gurmeet himself would be terribly disappointed if he heard what you did.
If Gagan's original statement was made by him, then I also have to admit that he should not have said so. It can't be that he did not know about Gurmeet playing the role of Ram before him. I understand it might come across as rude to Gurmeet's fans. However sending hate mails for any reason is unacceptable, and it is just possible that this might be a media ploy...simply because I know many Gurmeet fans personally.
