Rucha Gujarati and Nikita Anand in ZeeTV's Ramayan

Rucha Gujarathi, who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television's Saas Bina Sasural, will be seen entering Zee TV's Ramayan (produced by Sagar Pictures). The actress will be seen as Ahilya. She will be Gautam Rishimuni's (saint) wife.

As per a reliable source, Ahilya will be cursed for allowing a stranger to enter the house, who apparently would have looks similar to that of her husband, Gautam. The man will be in the house and Gautam will enter. Out of anger, he will spell a curse which will turn Ahiliya into a statue.

But ultimately, the curse will be broken with Ram (Gagan Malik) coming in touch with the statue.

Tellychakkar.com spoke to Rucha who confirmed the same and said, "I accepted the offer as the show is a mythology and something new and innovative for me."

Furthermore, Nikita Anand, who was last seen as Preeto's mother on Imagine TV'sPreeto, will be seen as Sita's (Neha Sargam) mother in the show.

We tried contacting Nikita but she remained unavailable.

Rucha will be seen in the show for an episode and her sequence will be aired this Sunday (16 September 2012).
