Part 9

Yudi rushed in quickly when he saw Saksham glaring at him... he knew he should have come early as he had asked him to but he ended up delaying him... in his proximity with Rani... Yudi had forgotten altogether that it was friendships day and also the day when he and Saksham had become friends... it was a special event for both and they often celebrated it together by cutting the cake.... even when Yudi was abroad... both unaware had still kept that tradition alive by cutting the cakes alone and keeping one part of the cake aside.... thus carrying the feelings of each other's presence in their lives... and after 2 years they had actually got a chance to spend that day together... and here Yudi had ended up getting late and not only that he had forgotten to get the cake from the shop.... he hugged Saksham... but Saksham was in no mood to relent... he threw his arms away and walked.... Yudi tried confronting him.... but Saksham was really all burned up....

For everyone Yudi was the prince... but only Saksham had the license to be angry with him as he was his best friend... Saksham walked away angrily with Yudi following behind him... finally they reached Yudi's room... and Saksham's angry glare broke into a smile... surprised by his behaviour... as Yudi proceeded to his room... he saw the parcel of cake waiting for him.... he gave a relieved smile.... Saksham hugged him.... and soon after their cake celebration.... Saksham jokingly asked Yudi for his gift... Yudi replied to have already given him.... seeing the confused look on his face... Yudi smiled and replied "Niharika".... Saksham realised Yudi had indeed given him a gift of a lifetime... they soon got into those memories of the days they spent together... soon the room twinkled with roars of laughters....

Rudr who had a room opposite to Yudi's room was disturbed by their talks and he came out to see..... he saw Yudi and Saksham busy pasting cake on each other's faces and laughing out aloud at their own pranks.... for the first time in his life Rudr was seeing his brother laughing and enjoying to the fullest.... seeing him that way Rudr got a pinch of jealousy run within... he always envied Yudi-Saksham's friendship... it was special... there was innocence maturing... a feeling of togetherness.... Rudr often missed having a true friend in his life... one who would understand him and be with him for his character and not for his money.... he knew his friends were with him because he had money... he knew once his money is gone.. they would altogether forget a character Rudr existed in their lives.... Yudi had always wanted to take that place in his life.... Rudr always knew Yudi really loved him and always wished well for him... but his mother had made him that way by poisoning his mind about Yudi that always he ended up behaving rude to him.... he knew he was hurting his brother and also knew he was wrong.... but that way he made his mother happy.... which had always been his mission in his life.... he always ended up nurturing the feeling that Yudi was responsible for his mother's unhappiness.....

In order to make his mother happy.... he had ended up losing the only woman he loved deeply.... Rudr's thoughts wandered to those memories.... she had always been special to him.... he knew he was always a spoilt brat... but he had tried mending up his ways for her.... although he had never confided in her his innermost feelings.... but he never ever felt the need for it... as they were so into each other that everyone around them felt they were a couple very much in love.... then came the day when his mother had got to know about his affair.... she totally disapproved of their relationship... Rudr had tried a lot convincing his mom but she didn't budge a little.... he made up the mind to ditch her forever.... he could never forget that face which was full of tears.... with that only woman gone from his life.... Rudr became even more addicted to alcohol and became a party animal... so as to forget her.... but always ended up remembering those moments and missed her terribly... he wanted to tell her that he really loved her and still loves her.... but was again scared of his mother..... he always wanted to share his feelings with Yudi... he always knew his brother understood his more.... but whenever he thought of confiding... his mother's presence in his life destroyed it.....

He was brought out his thoughts by Yudi.... he realised Yudi had called him many times.... Yudi asked Rudr to join them.... he quickly wiped off the tears.... he always had the habit of refusing to join Yudi... but today he really felt the need of his brother's hug and love in his life.... No sooner did Rudr reach out to them... Yudi pasted a big piece of cake on his face.... perplexed at Yudi's behaviour... Rudr shrieked.... but broke into laughter seeing his brother that way.... and hugged Yudi tightly.... Yudi was totally stunned at Rudr's behaviour.... never in his life did Rudr hug him like that... he hugged him back but somewhere deep down in his heart Yudi felt his brother really needed the hug... he tried picturing it and wished to know the reason.... but then chose to leave it.... Saksham was totally moved by the brothers hug..

Soon the evening ended.... and after their dinners.... each walked up to their respective rooms carrying an unforgettable memory within themselves.... Saksham with the memory of Yudi's friendship and getting the approval of Yudi for Niharika.... Rudr with the memory of enjoying a day with his brother.... he had never got a chance to be close to Yudi... but today God had given him a chance to make for all those days.... and finally Yudi with the fond memories as he wrote his diary....

"Today's day was perfect.... he had been with his Raane... he had got to know more about her... he understood her naive nature.... and the reasons for her strange behaviour.... they had been together on the bike.... they had also ended up having fun moments with each other.... today he can even proudly say that Raane and he became friends.... and then this evening was equally memorable with Saksham.... after 2 years they cut the cake together... and making it even more eventful was Rudr's hug which added up more... "....

As they all slept peacefully and drifted to their funfilled memorable day.... little did they know what fate had in store for all of them.... !!
