The predefined destiny in a certain life may depend upon the karma of your previous life.
Karmannaye vadhikaraste, mahaphaleshu kadachana means the objective of karma should not be to gain fruits but ultimately you have to bear consequences of what you do as your karma starts off a cycle which ends on you 😆This is what I think. :PAnd I am not well read of any text so maaf kardena if it's childish :P

That makes quite some sense...but in that case, why do people go to astrologers and buy all the amulets and gemstones? If this life is predestined to turn out in a certain, why do people not focus on karma instead of trying to improve their lives with magic? Also, if destiny governs all our actions (which then yield results), how does independent karma work out?
Life itself is a big magic. Hence people try to find different ways of decoding the magic (karma). Going to Astrologers wearing Gems, is one of the way of trying to get things done when actions in normal course fails.
If this doesnt work people go to the Biggest Magician- God. 😆It is said, Mani, Mantra & Medicine always works. But to know intensity or required doseone has to meet knower of those arts. We have institutes to train Docs but other 2 aspects lacks well trained people as the knowledge involved is sacred.Hence people are left with do your karmas without expecting results. This theory works in long run but one has to have patience & have faith in The Biggest Magician.

I think we both said almost the same thing. 😃But I differ at one point. I don't believe in the previous life's Karma effecting the present life. If that is the case, I think this concept will turn vulnerable. We have no idea whatsoever happened in our previous life, and we don't deserve punishments or happinesses that we get without being conscious of our Karma. If you performed a bad karma in your childhood, and that gets back to you at your nineties, you'll immediately will remember it however amnesiac you are and will feel guilty. I think the concept of Karma is this, to curb our bad qualities. If without knowledge we bear the consequences of Karma, I think that's not fair.
