Aryan Vaid bags a role in Zee TV soap

Mumbai, June 22 (IBNS) Actor Aryan Vaid, who was last in the news for his sizzling chemistry with a fellow contestant on a reality show, will soon be playing a mature role in Zee TV's cross-continental love story Rab Se Sona Isshq, which goes on air on July 16.

'Rab Se Sona Isshq' is the story of Saahiba, who deserted by Ranveer, the man of her dreams on the day of their wedding. She follows her heart and chases him across continents.

The intersection of Saahiba's journey with that of Daljeet, a simple young man from her own hometown Punjab and his earnest attempts at helping her get through to Ranveer, the unspoken feelings he harbors for Saahiba add another dimension to the story.

Aryan essays the role of Harry, Daljeet's "Vilaayti Chacha" who has settled down in London for over 15 years.

In his late thirties, he is a single man who stays by himself in a rented apartment. A man of reasonable means, he has been a cab driver ever since he got to London.

Good-natured and concerned for the well-being of his people back in India, he offers shelter to Saahiba and Daljeet as they land up in London in search of Ranveer.

There is an element of mystique as to why Harry has stayed single all these years, despite being an attractive man.

Aryan said, "It's a pleasure to finally work with Zee TV. I'm glad to be playing the role of Harry. There is a certain swagger and cool quotient about this mid-thirties man as a result of his overseas exposure."

"As an actor, the prospect of shooting for over three months in London is also a very exciting proposition. It's a gorgeous city and I have friends there and will use my time away from shoot to reconnect with them," he said.
