It was his way of saying that he held her at the highest regard. Then how could she do this when Rehan would not even dream of betraying him. By then he was aware that she was hiding something. Plus its no crime to love your mother more than your brother... As for Aahil's love for Rehan, he was one of the few who truly mourned his death, not because he saved his life but because he loved his brother. There is no doubt in my mind that he loved Rehan a lot. Anyway each to their own. There are different ways to interpret it. This was just my opinion, that was urs.
