Flashback Continued

Anwar: "Please promise me bhaijaan, If something happens to me, please get Zoya and Asad married."

Rashid: "Be faithful in Allah, nothing will happen to you."

Anwar: "Just promise me please."

Rashid looked at his brother and nodded his head.

Shireen Dilshad and Rashid were in the living talking about what Anwar said to Rashid

Shireen: "This big news, and you guys didn't even tell me."

Rashid: "We told you now, why are you upset, and why do you care."

Shireen: "I care I have the right to."

Rashid: "What rights are you talking about."

Shireen: "My daughter is also going to get older, no one cares about my daughter who is raised with out a father."

Rashid: "So Zoya is also a child who was raised with out a mother."

Shireen adjusted in her seat

Rashid: "What are you trying to say, make it clear."

Shireen: "It clear what I want bhaijaan, but you don't want to understand."

Rashid: "Okay you tell me then."

Shireen: "Bhaijaan I always wanted Asad as my son in law, I know nighat and Asad don't talk much but once they get older they will, but I didn't know you will make this big decision, and without telling me."

Rashid: "Well we just decided on the nikkah right now."

Shireen: "Nikkah means everything, it basically a shaadi bhaijaan, and I don't understand at this young age why are you getting them married, No one knows the future, When the kids get older what if they start to like someone else."

Rashid got mad at what she was saying

Rashid: "Think before you speak shireen, you are talking about my kid"

Shireen started to nod her head in a no

Shireen: "Nahi bhaijaan, I didn't mean it like that, I was saying."

Shireen was about to continue talking but Rashid spoke

Rashid: "Then what did you mean"

Shireen: "Bhaijaan, your already sending Asad to America for studies, look Asad is young right now what if tomorrow(future) woh"

Again she got stop by Rashid

Rashid: "I know my son, he wont do anything bad that will put our familys respect in shame, and about your daughter when the time come for her we will do the same thing we did for Asad"

Shireen: "Bhaijaan"

Rashid: "You don't care about your little brother, im not going to say no to my little brothers wish"

Shireen started to cry

Shireen: "This widow sisters of yours had a wish too that my daughter will go in my brothers house"

Rashid raised his hands up

Rashid: "Enough, I have made up my decision already, I don't want to listen to you anymore."

Rashid got up from his chair and left, Shireen turned towards Dilshad who was looking the other way

Shireen: "Bhaijaan doesn't think I care about Anwar, I do, but what can I do I am mother of a daughter who is raised with out a father."

Dilshad: "Why are you worrying bhabhi, everything will be fine."

Shireen: "Let me just tell you one thing, getting them married at young age I don't see it working in the future."

Shireen stood up from the couch and so did dilshad

Dilshad: "Sit down babhi, stay here."

Shireen: No, I don't want to anymore, im going to go meet anwar and leave, no one care about me or my kids."

It was evening time, Zoya was standing on the balcony looking outside, Asad came behind her and walked towards her where she was standing.

Asad: "Zoya:"

Zoya looked towards him

Zoya: "hmmm"

Asad:"Do you know what people are talking about in this house lately?"

Zoya:" No I don't know anything"

Asad: "They are talking about our nikkah"

Zoya looked towards

Asad: "And you know that I want to go to America"

Zoya turned around so she was standing facing him

Zoya: "But tiabuu said no to you."

Asad: "Yes he did, but I am going to go no matter what."

Zoya: "Do you really want to go to America."

Asad: "I told you first that I wanted to go, did you forget already."

Zoya: "No I didn't forget, I thought tiabuu wouldn't allow you."

Asad: "Nahi, no matter what im gonna go."

Zoya: "Don't go, I don't have any friends besides you."

Asad: "Im not leaving India forever, ill come back for you when im done with my studies."

Zoya: "Studies are going to take you time, just study here please Asad, I promise I wont tease you and fight with you, I will even help you in all your work"

Asad: "It not that Zoya, I have to go to America."

Zoya looked down dejected, she turned towards the sky and was looking at the moon.

Rashid and Dilshad were in their bedroom getting ready to sleep.

Rashid: "I see that Anwar is getting more sick, I always think of what he said about Zoya and Asad"

Dilshad: "I have no objections on getting them married Rashid."

Rashid: "I have no objections, but I think were taking this step a little fast, your son wants to go America."

Dilshad: "Im not in the mood to send him over there to far away from, im scared that I might loose him."

Rashid: "I don't have the fear of loosing him, but I agree with you I also don't want Asad to go to America."

Rashid: "I have 2 meeting tomorrow so I would like to sleep now."

Rashid closes the side lamp and drifted to sleep

Next day

Rashid went the hospital to check with the doctor about Anwar health

Rashid: " There is no problem right."

Doctor: "He is fine, but"

Rashid: "but what"

Doctor: "He had a major heart attack, and looking at his reports and talking with a senior doctor we have decided to do an operation."

Rashid: " Is it anything dangerous."

Doctor: "Yes, we have to do the operation as fast we can, this week would be good."

Rashid: "okay"

It was night time, Zoya was sitting outside on the steps, She had her knees up to her body and her head was on her knees she was crying, Asad was looking for something he looked to side and saw Zoya sitting outside, he went towards her and sat next to her

Asad: "Zoya"

Zoya wiped her tears

Asad: "what happened, you look worried."

Zoya: "Nothing, just because of abbu."

Asad: "Why are you crying, chachu is going to be alright."

Zoya: "Im scared Asad"

Asad: "There is nothing to be scared of, abbu talked to the doctors, chachu is alright now."

Zoya: "Are you telling the truth."

Asad: "you don't trust me."

Zoya nodded her head

Asad: "Now smile."

Zoya smiled and he smiled at her

Asad: "That's a like a good girl"

Next morning

Anwar was in his room putting his stuff in his bag, Zoya came into the room

Zoya: "Abuu can I go with you."

Anwar: "Come to me."

Zoya came to him and sat on the bed, he took his daughters hands in his and smiled at her

Anwar: "What are you going to do over there, I just have to rest over there, when I come back we will talk then okay."

Zoya: "fine but take care of yourself, Abbu Asad is waiting for me can I go? When I come at night we will talk then."

Anwar: "Haan, go beta khush raho."

Anwar put his hands on her head

Zoya: "Khuda hafiz."

Anwar: "Khuda hafiz"

Zoya got up from the bad and left, he was looking at her leaving, when she was about to leave he spoke

Anwar: "Zoya"

Zoya looked towards him

Zoya: "Ji abbu"

Anwar: "Beta take of yourself."

Zoya smiled and nodded her head, Anwar smiled back, When Zoya left Anwar looked the other way and wiped the tear that had came out.

Rashid was ready to go to with Anwar to the hospital, He walked into the living room and Dilshad was behind him carrying his bag

Rashid: "Don't worry everything is going to be alright inshAllah."

Dilshad: "I don't know why but my heart is worrying."

Rashid: "No don't make yourself a heat patient."

Rashid: "Im going, I will see everything."

Rashid looked around

Rashid: "Where is Anwar"

Dilshad: "He should be coming."

There were waiting for him when they heard a scream

Maid: "Begum saiba, sahib ji, come quick"

Rashid looked at Dilshad, Asad and Zoya were about to go out thr gate for school but stopped when they heard the maid scream

Rashid and Dilshad started to walk towards the scream,

Dilshad: "What was that scream about."

Asad and Zoya who were outside ran back inside

Rashid and Dilshad got upstairs and the maid was standing near Anwar's room

Rashid: "What happened."

Maid: "I don't know what happened to Sahab ji, I was in his room cleaning and he fell down, lets go inside quick"

Rashid walked in Anwar's room

Rashid: "What happened to my Anwar"

He saw Anwar lying on the ground with his eyes close and no movement, he ran towards him and sat down next to him, he cried his heart out Dilshad was behind him crying also

Rashid: Dilshad, my brother left me"

Zoya and Asad came into Anwar's room and saw everyone crying and Rashid and Anwar on the ground, Zoya saw her abbu and saw his eyes closed she held on to Asad arm for support and silently cried.

1 month after

Zoya was in her room sitting on the bed looking at her Dads photo, her tear dropped on the photo, she wiped it off, Dilshad came to her door and knocked

Dilshad: "Zoya"

Zoya wiped her tears off her face and hid the picture under her pillow.

Zoya: "Ji tiammi come"

Dilshad came in with clothes in her hands, she sat down next to her.

Dilshad: "Zoya these are your clothes that your mother picked out for you to wear on your wedding, wear it and tell me if you need any alterations."

Zoya nodded her head; she started to sob

Zoya: "Ji tiammi."

Dilshad: "Zoya, beta are you happy, what is this don't cry, I am with you, I will never let you get hurt."

Dilshad: "Zoya you are my daughter, don't ever cry in your life, I want to see you always smiling, come here."

Zoya went to her and hugged her tight, Dilshad kissed on the top of her head.

The Nikkah(Asad and Zoya are in different room)

Shireen and Dilshad were standing dressed up in simple but elegant suits

Shireen: "Dilshad is everything ready, did you order the sweets."

Dilshad: "Ji"

Shireen: "If you need anything else, ill take care of it."

Dilshad: "No everything is done and here."

Rashid came towards them

Rashid: "Where is Asad, its getting late."

Dilshad: "He should be coming."

Just then Asad came in smiling, He was wearing a simple white kurta.

Dilsahd: "MashAllah, look how big you look, my beta is all grown up."

Rashid smiled

Rashid: "MashAllah."

Shireen: "Aur Khubsoraat bhi, just like my brother Rashid."

Rashid: "Call Zoya, the maulvi is wating for quite some time now, everyone is waiting."

Dilshad: "Ji, Shireen lets go."

Dilshad and Shireen left to get Zoya, Asad went with his father.

They got to Zoya room

Shireen: "Girls are you ready, is Zoya ready."

Shireen looked at Zoya and just nodded her (She didn't even smile, or say MashAllah)

Dilshad sat beside Zoya and smiled at her

Dilshad: "MashAllah, you look beautiful meri beti."

Dilshad kissed her forhead and Zoya smiled at her

Shiree: "Okay enough, its getting late Dilshad she is not going anywhere, she will be with you all your life."

Dilshad Najma and Nighat took her outside and sat her down on the couch, She was wearing a light pink suit.

Asad was done, he had said Qubool Hai, and signed the nikkah naama. Rashid came over to Zoya and told her to sign the Nikkah naama, She happly signed, Rashid blessed her and Dilshad hugged her, The maulvi prayed for them to have a blissful life ahead.

End of Flashback

Zoya was looking at the rain and thinking she got back from her thought when the maid asked her a question

Maid: "Zoya bi, I have to clean your room."

Zoya: "Yes, Sure, just do it and don't touch anything on my desk leave it like that."

Maid: "Ji, if you need anything to be ironed please give it to me, its raining really hard and I want to go home."

Zoya: "They are in my closet to the side you can take them."

The maid left, Zoya looked outside and smiled at the rain, she couldn't wait till Asad came back from America
