Haya wore a short dress when rahat said no..and she got chased by goons and rahat had to rescue her...
So this is sending a wrong message to the public that girls should listen and be obedient and not wear short dresses or else goons or any other bad elements will catch you..

Ye kya hai yaar.. Always always girls end up in trouble just because they did something from their heart and not listened to the effing society just once...this is how our serials show us..

So basically are we supposed to stay stupid and listen to the males ????

Yeah, I agree. I mean, I think the whole Haya track is sending a horrible message. She's married to one brother but is making him think that she's getting it on with the other to make him jealous. I started to love Indian serials because of how different they are from American shows but Qubool Hai is bordering on copying American television.

Your right! It is sending the message that a women's dress sense justifies men's violence or lechery towards them! Yes, the way a women dresses may attract attention to her, and sometimes unwanted. But that dosent mean that we say it is JUSTIFIED for males to harass or rape women because they were wearing a short dress or strapless etc?

Just because a man is aroused...that does NOT mean, he can then rape a women to make himself feel better? It is a testament to his own lack of morals and lack of control, NOT the women's! So all this is BS!

Going out in a short dress does not necessarily mean, something bad will happen to you? But Haya is not someone who usually dresses this way, and she only chose to do so, to hurt Rahat! I understand she is angry with him, but the way she is trying to get back at him is foolish! But I STILL agree with you! This is sending the wrong message! Especially in a country like India, were sexual violence against females is well documented. (I am not from India, so please don't take offence to what I have said)!

Even I like Indian TV shows, because they are not like the usual Western fodder I get to watch! I never watch American, British or even Australian soaps anymore, coz I find the way they change partners very nauseating after awhile! But now QH is going down that path too, with this RAHAFA nonsense!

Gul is mad😡. In QH1, she made Asad judge women by their clothes. In a scene where Nikhat n Nuzhat were harassed by taporis who were singing songs to them, Asad saves them. After d taporis go, Asad tells Nuzhat to change her clothes as she was wearing jeans, top n sneaker shoes. Asad tells dat 'Jis tarah ke kapde pehnogi uss tarah ke log milenge'. I was like W*F😡. He is such a big businessman wid such a modern open-minded mother n he is talking such crap.

I don't feel its a wrong message...i'm not saying that men are justified in doing what they do.. they definitely aren't.

But as women, we have a responsibility to look after ourselves and not invite trouble... and here both Haya and Faiz invited trouble for themselves.

We know that there all sorts of men in this world, rapists , eve teasers etc and for them what they do is not wrong and we cannot change them no matter what we do and such men will always be there... and so knowing that why should a girl (who is not even trained in self defense) stand in the middle of a lonely road dressed in a dress like that which shows half her body?... thats inviting trouble for yourself...
Woman should have their independence, they should also be able to do what they want and go where ever they want freely as well... but knowing that there are all sorts of men also in this world and knowing that we cannot do anything to change their mentality (thats the reality.. they are criminals and they aren't going to change by any lecture we give.), when we use our independence also we have to be sensible.

And here actually Haya wasn't even comfortable to stay back there and she asked Faiz to take her with him but Faiz refused saying that nothing will happen... so its the immaturity and foolishness of Faiz that the CVs have shown here.. and he has been like that from the beginning... if it was Rahat he would never have left Haya alone there and gone... and i think its the main message they are giving here... the whole scene is not about Haya's dress...and its not meant to show that woman should not wear such dresses... its to show that woman also should be sensible in doing what they do...and here haya who is not a girl who would otherwise wear something like that did it just to spite Rahat.. and what she did was not sensible.

I'm sorry, but your post made me so sad. Imagine us, the literate lot with internet connection and the world at our fingertip with just a simple click + best education, still thinking like this. The future still has some women suppression in store for us, I gather. Are you a female or a male? Don't take this as an attack, please. A guy justifying this act, I understand; but a female, I don't.

NO one can claim that wearing short clothes invite trouble or else girls wearing a saree, or a salwar kameez or even a burkha would not be raped. But unfortunately they are. As a female, it's our right to wield our freedom to say what we want and to wear what we want. It's not a girls responsibility if she is leered by some men. It's the man who is lacking in manners and upbringing. A female has to drill it in her son that girls are not a thing to be lusted after. They are human beings. I won't say that mother ONLY should instill respect and manner in their son. The whole family should. It's not only the mother's duty to show what is wrong and right but when females agree with such backward thinking is when the trouble arises.

The situation was wrong for Haya, I agree but it was not her fault that she was leered at. it was not her clothes fault that she was harassed. It's the thinking that is still wrong. Respect for the female sex that is still lacking.

@TM: Wonderful post. I must admit, I was going to make a post on this topic myself but you beat me to it.😃👏 And I agree with every single word you uttered. QH has a long way to grow yet. They still think women are some weakling, even after introducing characters like Dilshad, Seher and Sanam. Pity.

@TM, I wholeheartedly agree with you.
As makers it would have been good if they had indeed sent across a more sensible message
"Don't tell me what to wear, tell him not to stare"
Anyhow, I think unlike with female character sketches like Sanam, Dilshad, Seher, Tanveer, Razia.. they have painted a weakling in Haya. I have huge disagreements with her fight mechanisms. However this is a debate for another topic. For your current topic, yes, Haya would have been harassed in whatever way she was dressed...A verrry long way to go...
