I like that your epilogue was only a few hours time difference from the last chapter - most epilogues are ten/twenty years into the future.
It's also nice to see them both share their stories, especially Aahil!

I wanted to keep the epilogue relevant. I had thought about brining up Aahil's past in the epilogue anyway. Then the actual story also took a similar turn. I am surprised at how much like the actual storyline I was thinking! :)
I didn't want to end it without some clarity between them. After all, they had a lot of wrong impressions of the other. I wanted them to realise that there were things driving those actions. Especially from Aahil's side, coz he behaved very badly at the start. I wanted Sanam to understand that her slap set him off and made him act in a way that maybe someone without his background may not have done. Once you have been physically abused by your own father, I suppose even a slap from a girl feels like a threat to you, and those old feelings come back. The difference is that THIS time, you can do something about it. Unlike when you were a small vulnerable kid.
Every time I see that scene were Aahil's Dad is hitting him, it makes me cringe. So painful to watch. Why people are so cruel to kids is beyond me. It's not like giving them a whack once in way for acting naughty. This is clear abuse. I SO want Aahil to heal from this painful past. Hope they show that on the actually show! Glad you like "Yeh Dhooriya". I am a bit sick at the moment, but will try to have another chapter up soon!
