I'm extremely intrigued by Aahil's nightmares.

I think it is both physical and mental abuse. However, I am not entirely sure why Ahil's dad used to abuse him like that, especially with a belt. That kind of abuse (especially on an impressionable child) leaves a huge psychological dent in the child's mind. And then that same dad left all his property in that son's name. Just doesn't make sense.

And if he abused Ahil, he would have probably been able to abuse Tanveer too right? Especially when he knew why she married him. But that didn't seem to have happened (although we can't be sure).

Do you think Tanveer might have had a hand in coercing him to abuse Ahil, so she could fake sympathy and win Ahil's trust and love so that she can keep him under her control.

And where did Badi Begum disappear off to? LOL

Yeah exactly. He didn't like Tanveer. That's why Tanveer coercing him to abuse Ahil doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

My take - The Nawab was abused by Billi and used by her to abuse AHil.

But frankly I don't want to know. I had shivers when I heard a news that Tanveer-Nawab story was being shot. Thankfully, they didn't air it. So, let the skeletons remain in tanveer's cupboards.

Cause - Ahil has nightmares, due to Nawab's abuse.

Effect - Ahil hugs sanam so tightly that the poor girl can't even remove her hand.

Till the effects are effective, let the causes remain a mystery. I don't want them showing any backstory to tanveer or nawab now. I ddint' get any backstory for Rashid and Gaffur.
