But after that incident, even Sanam expected him to save her/take her side, especially from nida's insults. Has she ever asked herself why? Why did she suddenly feel the right to be protected by the jallad Jin who, not too long ago, himself wouldn't leave a chance to insult her? Why does she feel so incredibly hurt when he doesn't side with her? She even went on to say that she hated him for not defending her honor. How on earth does shve think she is in a position to demand all that from Aahil? (although only through her eyes.)
For gods sake, she's even gazed into his eyes with wonderment when they bumped into each other! He put ointment on her burnt hand way before the incident! How could she forget all that??
All she remembers is how he burnt her dhaba, how he insulted her deliberately and how he berated her even after saving her for the second time. But he saved her! how can she simply forget what he told her after scolding her? How can she forget a man asking her "why am I getting pulled towards you? Why do I lose all reasoning when I look into your eyes? Why Sanam?" .. How can any woman forget that? I agree that she's clueless when it comes to emotions, but THIS clueless? At this rate, they will turn Sanam into a dumb ditz, which I don't want.
My point is, Sanam's equation towards Aahil has also somewhat changed since that incident. And it would be poor storytelling if they erase all of that from sanam's memory just to show a hate marriage or a strong female lead. I mean giving it back to Aahil's accusations is good, but total memory loss on the good things Aahil did to her, how is that justifiable?
Their equation has changed, and it's time she remembered those moments that led to that change. Otherwise their love story won't stay true to the narrative. Worse, it won't be poignant. What's the point of Aahil turning all cold after marriage if Sanam doesn't remember his compassionate side?
