Today's episode was fraught with illogical things. I've said before that TV serials never show medical details properly. I'm not asking for ER or Grey's Anatomy quality, but at least the bare minimum!! Dilshaad didn't look like she was just out of life saving heart surgery!! Props people, props! Surbhi Jyoti was stellar today. The mind paralysing fear in her face at the prospect of losing her Badi Ammi was heartbreaking. That waiting room scene was tense and Surbhi was fabulous. Worry, anxiety, prayer, innocence, gratitude, naivete. A jumble of emotions was Sanam.
The sickening way Tanveer collected her repayment, right there in front of her Badi Ammi, was atrocious. Taking advantage of a desperate person for your own profit!! Tanveer was asking for 3 months of Sanam's life, to be Aahil's wife, because Nida will ruin her family.
Sanam's conflict was very real to me. The shock in her face at the loan repayment scheme was stifling. She innocently announced that she would do anything, only to be asked to do a very difficult thing.
She never wished for much in life. She only wanted to take care of her grandmother and sister, and to run a successful dhaba. Marry a nice person who'd accept her and her family. Not riches, not status.
She recalls only all the horrible events between herself and Aahil, and finds binding herself to him unimaginable. She truly doesn't have a clue that he loves her.
Tanveer was tightening the noose around her neck, but bless her courage, she said No!'. I was momentarily stunned there. Wow, good for you Sanam!
