how i agree with u...
Already the number of people being interested in AsYa fictions have decreased and there's more of silent readers than actually readers..neither do they like or even phrase a proper comment after reading the update..Its not only frustrating but also very demeaning for an author who writes a proper update only for the readers to read.. and if they can find time to read an update they surely have time to at least LIKE if not a comment..Wish someday NUMBER of COMMENTS and LIKES.. gets equal to the number of VIEWS 😆

We read your stories. It's online.
We like it. We click like. We love it. We click like.
Personally. I comment if the internet allows. BS of a reason? Yeah well that's all I got
Sorry to have to come across as direct.
What do you guys really want? When readers don't comment there's a problem. When they do there's a problem.
If an update is cute. Shouldn't the reader say cute? What else can they say? Precisely why they're called readers in the first place. They don't write. I know sometimes an update or a story completely baffles me or simply leave me dumbfounded that I haven't a clue in what to comment.
But I do. Coz I'm kinda pressured into it.
But sometimes I'm just too lost for words...
I click the 'x'. I.e. close tab.
Sorry but what do you expect me to say?
I especially have this problem when an update is mature in content. All I can manage sometimes is a meagre 'sexy' or a shady 'hot'. Sometimes when I truly like it...I leave my signature wink. ;)
And most of the time I won't too coz it's as you put it- skimmable. I don't like posting a comment like those. But if a story is amazing or awesome or nice or cute or the likes of it...can't it be expressed that way?
First the demand to comment. Then the demand to a longer than a word comment.
I know it must suck when you put in so much effort into writing, thinking up plots and dialogues and characters...and editing...and people don't show appreciation. But please do also understand that we are not capable of words like you people! We envy you lot! If only I could write such and such a story such such plots. You have no idea how very inferior we feel to all of you. And that's a sincere thought.
And most of the writers around here has a fan following, what about writers that are relatively new? Or writers without any troops following them around? They write with amazing nuances that sometimes the reader in me cries for such exquisite piece of sheer brilliance. That they feel us worthy a reader to share their work of excellence with. Open up their thread. Look at the number of likes. Look at the number of comments.
And still they persevere, they continue. Do you guys give a chance to these underdogs?
And all this to the expense of readers who do comment. And the kinds you want to. How are they better? Just coz they know what to say and that too the right thing to say?
I love all that I read. Even when I don't I do. Coz you guys are brilliant! Your ideas are brilliant! And you're sharing them with us. Strangers.
But this is the net. People do it all the time!!
I am a lil disheartened by this post to be perfectly honest, but to say I don't understand your plight would be wrong too. Perhaps I may find this post important so as to tell you how we common readers alike feel.
I love you guys for reaching out, and I appreciate the thoughts that come with it, I sincerely hope you understand us too.
And no where in this post do I mean to single out our dearest TM. I love your stuff too ;)
Sincerely,
A mere reader

Anyways i belong to both writer and reader categories. i cant blame a single reader coz i when i switch to the reader mode i also tend to do the same. That's mainly because the feelings which i get reading some stories are soo overwhelming that i often fumble with words to put across what i feel.I can understand what you feel. but my opinion is different. As a writer i have no right to pressurize my readers to like or comment. If they are willing they will do it. How short the comment might be, i am happy with it. even i am happy with just 'likes' also.So chill mar. and do what you love the most, i.e., writing😉
