I'm a reader myself and I make it a point where I comment a line or two to tell the reader what I liked and what I didn't. It really motivates the writers. Being a writer I can relate to this post because we spend a minimum of three to four hours just to get something down for people to enjoy. Threatening to stop the story because of less comments and decreasing likes is not fair on those loyal readers who stick through and comment letting the writers know that their hard work is genuinely appreciated.

We're not asking for paragraphs of comments but a line or two will do the job. Just a genuine comment will encourage the writers when they know that people look forward to reading their work. 'awesome update' 'continue soon' 'loved it' all these comments are so irritating and are just repetitive on a lot of stories.

People who pretend that they have read the update; I would prefer if they stop commenting rather than the silly copy and paste comments just to increase their posts.

Its simple as that for me. when I feel like to write, I write and I post it. Its not that IF i have written a piece once, I would be like continuing it. I'll continue it whenever I want or feel like to write again for that matter.

Writers, IMO, are the minds and hearts driven by the passion they feel towards writing. ATLEAST for me that's the case. When I feel like I WANT TO WRITE ON THIS TODAY, I just write from the word go.

For I lose interest very easily and when interest is lost, I just can;t bring myself with the ideas, and the piece IS OUGHT TO be crap.

I feel here the command is on Writers hands. Like WHEN THEY want to write, they should do. If you don't feel like just don't. Coz I know, its not that writers ALWAYS feel like writing, the writers block, is there for everyone.

Writing for me is a way of expressing my feelings what I feel about the particular scenario. When I get inspired from an awesome instance I have come across I juts want to pen it down, pouring down all my feelings about it. AND I DO NOT CARE WHAT OTHERS PEOPLE(READERS) FEEL ABOUT IT. I really DON'T. Trust me. I am not bragging about that, so not me.

I want to write, i write, I don't care what LIKES or COMMENTS i would be getting for it, or I ahve gotten so far. If I get praise, then thanks, If not. Then its okay too! Thats me.

I don't know what I have written there. it may sound weird or something like that. I just needed to write my point of view. I don't know is its even related with this topic.

Hope I din't sound weird in any way, and this post too.

I meant readers at large and other writers too. That would be shallow of me to say! *see what I mean! writing is not my thing, I normally confuse myself too!*

And these underdogs I speak of? They get like four to five digit views. Legit. And only four to five comments. Sad. Well.



However, as aforementioned, I complete understand your plight. If readers were to comment pm me for every update, I'd get a lil annoyed.

And well if the comment does just say pm me...it must be good right? And cont soon means they are eagerly waiting for the next part. And awsm. Awesome can never go wrong. Awesome update. I don't know...am trying to be positive! Some word their comments nice and proper. Some don't. But these are the ones that you know shall always be there. Every story every update!

And here I sound like a mean protester! You guys write real great stuff. I'm always impressed. Have I ever comment as you guys pointed out...? I wonder how I'm rated as a reader. Hmm. I know I've never asked for PMs. Maybe. Hee!

Commenting is a form of reward for the writers efforts

So yes if I can take some time out (it takes less than a minute to write a decent comment) to comment in spite of being busy/student/working then I'm sure others can too !!!!

When as a reader, we have time to read so we can tell writer how it is.
As every writer mention that feedback always welcome whether positive or negative but mostly ignore that.
