The moon light is falling on her face...making her look more angelic than she already is. She is sleeping peacefully with a soft smile playing on her lips. Suddenly the door of her room bursts open and she is woken up by the collective noise!
"Happy Mother's Day!"
Dilshad exclaims as she finds Asad, Zoya and Najma rushing towards her with 1000 watt smiles and a big cake. Her heart swells with pride and love. She extends her arms and takes all of them in for a hug.
"Mere bachhe!"
She kisses them on their foreheads and proceeds to cut the cake. After the cake-cutting is over, Zoya stands up on the bed.
"Okay so now we have..."
Before she can complete her sentence...Asad takes hold of her hand and drags her down the bed.
"Miss Farooqui neeche khade hokar bi aap bol sakti hain!"
Zoya snatches his hand as he proceeds to smoothen the almost invisible creases on the bedsheet. She stands up there again and makes sure to create more creases. Asad glares at her ad she raises her eyebrows challenging him.
"Mr Khan first of all I am not Miss Farooqui anymore. Main aapko zindagi bhar yaad dilati rahoon kya ki AAPNE mujhse TEEN baar (she shows with three of her fingers) Qubool Hai bol kar NIKAH ki thi?"
She shakes her head dramatically. Asad's eyes soften as he recalls the beautiful moment when they said 'qubopl hai' to each other and Miss Zoya Farooqui became Mrs Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan. Zoya winks at Dilshad and Najma & they chuckle silently knowing that Zoya just got her score raised by one. Yes they both keep counts of who ultimately wins in their battles.
"Alright attention everyone! Here goes a tribute to the best mom in this world!"
Asad turns off the lights and a wall lights up with a slide show of their family moements...By the end all of them have tears in their eyes. Dilshad shakes her head and smiles at them. Before she can say anything...Najma comes to her and hugs her by side & says
"And Ammi...abhi bhaijaan aapke liye ek gaana gayenge!"
Zoya gets the guitar and gives it to Asad, who takes it with a smile. He starts singing Zindagi Ki Yehi Reet Hai. All of them sing together and dance(just like that day...Zoya recalls) After the song is over they have a group hug and after some time, Asad-Najma-Zoya leave.
Dilshad stares at the closing door.Their life is perfect. Her little family is perfect.
Najma is still studying. They have found a perfect guy for her and the marriage is all set to happen at the end of the year.
Her 'ziddi' Asad is finally married to her 'bholi' Zoya. Their day starts with Asad Zoya fighting and arguing over some stupid thing...and obviously it ends the same way. Zoya has actually brought happiness back in their lives. There house is an energy field now. There is always giggling,yelling, happiness...and love around every corner of the house. Asad has become more free and light-hearted around all of them. He doesn't have much problem in expressing his feelings these days and he has this love, peace and content on his face which she loves to admire.
And well Zoya is...Zoya. She is the same, except that she wakes up early to make breakfast for all of them everyday...and yes, after lots of practice and failure, and with help from all of them...her kitchen and clealiness skills are improving.
And most of all...Dilshad has realised that Rashid never deserved her. She is done with him. Life indeed couldn't have been more perfect than it already is.
Ya Allah...mera parivaar hamesha ishi tarah khush rahe...saath rahe!

P.S. I have imagined Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti as Asad and Zoya respectively. You are free to imagine anyone. And the nikah didn't happen at Taj. They had a simple ceremony at Ajmer with only Dilshad, Najma, Appi, Jeeju and Ayan present. Yes Tanveer was thrown out in Ajmer when she tried pushing Zoya off the cliff and Asad caught her red-handed.
