Dear diary,

Look at the irony of it...On the surface, Sanam Ahmed Khan is an unfortunate girl who has to shoulder the responsibilities at an age when she should be dreaming of her Prince Charming. Instead, she is grounded...she cannot imagine a life without her Badi Ammi and Hayaa...the promise of a good life with Anwar does not deter her from being frank in her opinions..with the belief that her life partner would understand her...what Sanam gets back is another lesson in life...she seems to be sucked more and more into a vortex that threatens to blacken out the existence of the three of them...Is there no way out?

It does not take long for Sanam to rise..soar high...She is proud of her heritage...and the legacy left behind by Asad and Zoya gives her the strength to stand tall against the odds...She is free to dream...to love...to choose..she decides her fate.👏

At the other end, we have Aahil Razaa Ibrahim...who exudes charm and confidence..He has no responsibilities...no one to answer to... He is free to roam around and do as he wishes...His only weakness...his Ammi..whose wish is a command to him...and the moment he executes it, he feels lighter...There is no pressure whatsoever in his life...no demands. He is free to do as he chooses...or so it seems...

Look deeper, and Aahil is bound by a chain that is invisible to him...a chain that has allowed him to fly high so far...because the one who wields it has nurtured him and led him to believe in a Fairy Tale...of a Little Prince who was rescued by a Godmother...

The day he wants to fly away from the course that has been written by that someone else, it will tug at him...cut him...make him bleed...

He is a caged bird, who believes he is free..

What will it take for him to realise the reality of his life?

Will it be love that will set him free- that gives him the strength to fly out of a web that has been carefully laid around him over the years?

The story evolves smoothly and swiftly...the characters reveal a new shade to us everyday...

Aahil cannot stand the man whip lashing himself..it reminds him of a boy who was whip lashed as a child...we get several insights into Aahil in one episode...👏

He was deserted as a child...had probably ended up in a Juvenile Home..the man whipping him could have been an authority or maybe, his father...

He was rescued...given a new life...by a woman he fondly calls Ammi and respects as Begum Sahiba. She had taken him from the gutter and given a new lease over life...in return, he will lay his life before her...even if she does not demand it openly...

He grew up in her protection...she provided for his education (wonder where the hell he got that accent from...)..set him up in the Business World...and now he does not have to think twice when she asks something of him...Wow! What a Luxury!😲- To be spared of the agony of calculating and choosing, when someone will make the decisions for you!🥱😉

It makes you wonder...has this boy known love? He has seen kindness- masked it may have been, coming from a Tanveer who gives only to gain more- Has he known a mother?

Has he got a friend in this world? Rehaan stays with him as a shadow...through thick and thin...he calls him a bhai...but unknown to Aahil, he owes his allegiance to Begum Sahiba, first and foremost. No gift from Aahil can buy him over...he is a slave keeping guard over his mistress' most prized possession... Truly, their relationship does not fit into friendship or brotherhood or that of a provider - dependant.

Of all the heroes Gul has written so far, I pity Aahil the most...he has not known the luxury of a mother's or sister's love...he is lonely in every sense...my sympathies, as he tries to hide it all under his charm and brashness...😊

And applause to the creatives for keeping an episode so captivating without having the leads in the same frame...👏

PS: At this point in the story, it is really not clear if Aahil is Tanveer's son...given the flashback of the whipping...I feel it is likely that Tanveer picked him up as a child to groom him into her right hand man, once she came out of jail... guess we will know the truth later on...😊

Very nice post Soup.. your post made me appreciate QH once again.. I have not really gotten attached to QH2 like I did QH1 although I am still watching and liked some episodes.. and yesterdays epi was one of the best as it revealed that Aahil too has layers and depth... You have written very confidently that Aahil is adopted by Tanveer and that she is keeping him under an illusion and he is actually a caged bird.. I hope your prediction comes true and Aahil is not really Tanveer's real son... because that would be really interesting.. if he is her real son it becomes too predictable and boring.

But if Aahil is not her son wonder what happened to her real son/daughter.

and yes where the hell Aahil got that accent from ...someone please tell me !

Each day something being revealed ...slowly but surely !

Aahil isn't Tanveer's biological son ..this is something i still harp upon...this doesn't seem to be right !

will copy some of my response made in amber post here too ( made 3 comments in 3 post about the same episode ..i should show reliability from my end !)

Rehaan is definitely going to be more than a yes man and will have shades too ! whether he is with Haya or seher will be interesting to see

Its good that seher was mentioned ..in fact so many things are clearer in post leap ...pre leap everything used to be shoved underneath the carpet !

Aahil is complicated but soon the layers are coming to the fore ...and it will be super interesting to see the love story which will be volatile ! yes he is a lonely man and look forward to the love that will storm his life

The most important role will be of his ammi and Tanveer returns with a larger than life presence via Aahil's character !

So Far So Good is all i would say !

You are too awesome! Love these diaries you write :)

One thing i was not sure about in the first week of QH-2...now I'm damn sure ... that Sanam Asad Khan is Zoya Faaruqui's daughter! The audacious side of Sanam in yesterday's episode (precap) was well executed. Now that she hates the specie that rejected her, how will she fall for Ahil? wow...it's all AsYa-2 again! And the episodes have a charm of of its own these days, no drags and every new epi reveals a digestible shade of these characters!

And why is Billi shown as a good person? Or has she truly changed after she quenched her thirst for revenge? And i have this feeling that Ahil HAS a dreadful past...with an atrocious father. And the accent, maybe he got a scholarship to a noted school! After all, he is the "city boy"!

ps. You write beautifully! Every word is so beautifully curved and placed! Tese lines truly touched my heart :D

I have to hand it over to Gul...I thought she was putting up something 'in the meanwhile'...but the story has its sparkles...👏...almost like she cannot put up a bad show for teh sake of it...U can see that the show has been made on a low budget...what stands out is the creativity shining through all odds...👏

Tanveer may not have had the child...in all likelihood, that kid was aborted when she was in the mental asylum...even if Aahil turns out to be THE KITTEN, I bet all Tanveer has for him is a very superficial relationship from which she will only demand...

If he has been picked up as an orphan...well there will be more to explore if they want QH 2 to go beyond six months..(I hope not!)
