Chapter - 4

In the Khan's villa...

Dilshad: Asad! Ayaan! Jaldi tayyar ho jaao.

Asad (from his room): haan ammi! Ek minute. Hogaya.

Ayaan (from his room): one minute darling!!!

Shireen: yeh Asad aur Ayaan kya kar rahe hain? Itna dher kyun ho raha hai?

Finally they come down, in a very excited and happy mood, making Dilshad and Shireen very suspicious.

Shireen (whispering to Dilshad): mujhe toh kuch teekh nahi lag rahi hai. Yeh dono itna khush kaise hain? Kuch toh planning chal raha hai inn dono ke beech.

Dilshad: mujhe bhi aise hi lag rahi hai. Dheere dheere patha chal jaayega.

Ayaan (whispering to Asad): bhaijaan! Aapko plan yaad hai na? Sab kuch correct hona chahiye.

Asad: main ready hoon. Lekin, agar tum phirse beech main chodke bhaag gaye tho main wahi pe teri murder karunga. Samajh gaye tum?

Ayaan: bhaijaan, uss din uska boyfriend aagaya aur voh kitna daravna tha. Issi liye main darke bhaag gaya tha. Lekin aaj aisa nahi hoga. Kyunki yeh mera zindagi ka sawaal hai.

Asad: haan yaar, kuch toh karke yeh rishta thodna padega.

Asad and Ayaan (together): Girls!!!!! We are coming for you.

Meanwhile, in the Farooqui mansion...

Razia: Zoya! Humeira! Jaldi karo. Dher ho raha hai.

Zoya and Humeira (together): ek minute.

Zeenat: tum dono, 5 minutes se yeh bol rahe ho. "Ek minute, ek minute."

Zoya: ab pakka ek minute mein hojaayega.

Finally, after another 5 long minutes, they come down in their ghagras' looking like angels to their mothers' eyes.

Zoya: ammi! Phuppi! Hum kaise lag rahe hain?

Razia: bilkul pari lag rahe ho aap dono.

Zeenat: allah kare! Kisi ke nazar na lage.

Zoya (to Humeira, in a low voice): plan yaad hai na? Tujhe patha hai na, ki tujhe kya bolna hai?

Humeira: haan di!!!!! Iss baar plan flop nahi hoga.

Zoya and Humeira (together): boys! Get ready for us!!!!

Half an hour later...

Rashid's family reaches the place first and is given a warm welcome by his friend's family. Asad and Ayaan enter the place, their eyes searching for Zoya and Humeira. Dilshad and Shireen notice this and smile at each other.

Dilshad (to Rashid): ab tak Gaffuar Khan saab nahi aaya hai kya?

Rashid: haan. Aa raha hoga. Kyun?

Dilshad: voh kuch nahi. Zeenat aur Razia ko milke bohot din hua hai. Zoya aur Humeira se milke bhi bohot din hua hai.

Zoya's and Humeira's name brought Asad and Ayaan from their trance, as their eyes automatically looked towards the door to see whether they have arrived.

Dilshad (to Asad and Ayaan): ab tak nahi aaye hain.

She saw their eyes droop in disappointment. But they themselves didn't know they were eager to see them. Just hearing their name made them feel weird and they hated this feeling. Asad looked at Ayaan to see whether Ayaan felt the same way that he did. And as soon as he did, he took it as confirmation that Ayaan too felt the same way.

At the same time, Zoya and Humeira were sitting in their car, waiting nervously but eagerly to reach the place. Neither of them knew why they felt this way, but they only knew that they wanted to meet Asad and Ayaan. In 5 minutes time, they were brought out their trance, by hearing their name. To their surprise, they saw that they had already reached the place and their excitement increased.

Zoya and Humeira entered the hall nervously, their eyes searching for Asad and Ayaan nervously, though they didn't have the slightest idea of how they looked. Suddenly, Razia and Zeenat broke their preoccupation by pushing them out of the way and hugging to other ladies.

Razia, Zeenat, Dilshad and Shireen hugged each other, happiness evident in their eyes. Gaffaur Khan and Rashid too hugged each other and greeted. At the meantime, Zoya and Humeira went to the bride and the groom to give their congratulations (remember? They had come for an engagement function). Asad and Ayaan were standing on the other side of the room, their eyes searching for Zoya and Humeira though they had never seen them before. Rashid called out to Asad and Ayaan and at the same time, Zeenat called Zoya and Humeira to come. But, fortunately or unfortunately, Asad got an important call from his client, so he had to attend the call. Coincidentally, Zoya got a call from her friend and she went to attend the call. Cursing their luck, Ayaan and Humeira made their way to their parents.

AyRa (together without noticing each other): ji ammi!!!

That was when their gaze fell on each other. And their eyes held. That weird feeling came to them again, the same feeling which they felt when they thought about each other. They felt emotions which they had never experienced before. Their trance was broken by Shireen.

Shireen: Ayaan! Yeh Humeira hai. Gaffaur Khan saab ki doosri beti. Aur Humeira! Yeh Ayaan hai. Mera beta.

Ayaan: hello

He stretched forward his hand in order to give her a handshake. She too forwarded her hand, making a contact with his. As soon as their hands met, an electric current passed through them making them weak. They felt as if they never wanted to let go of each other. Ayaan felt a strange urge to pull her towards him and hold her in his arms and never let go of her. But to their luck, they were called away by their families to introduce them to some other people. Unwillingly, they left each other's hands as they slowly parted.

With AsYa...

Asad finished his call and headed back to the hall at the same time as Zoya, who too finished her call. They didn't notice each other as they got in. Zoya walked ahead of Asad, her searching for Humeira and she didn't notice the juice that spilt on the floor. She kept her leg on the juice, losing her balance and falling right into his arms. He caught her just in time, his touch sending shivers down her spine. She got up to thank him, and as soon as she looked into his eyes, her thank you stuck in her throat. His golden-brown orbs were irresistible. The more she observed him, the more she wanted to go to him, hug him and never leave him. Asad was also going through the same emotions. Her smiley eyes seemed inviting. She looked like an angel in disguise. An angel come to spread happiness and warmth in his boring life. Their moment was broken... or spoilt by Rashid, who broke their pre-occupation by calling out to them.

Rashid: Asad! Kahan the tum? Anyways, yeh Zoya hai, aur Zoya, yeh Asad hai. Mera beta.

Asad: As-salaam-walekum

Zoya: Walekum-as-salaam.

Rashid escorts Asad and Zoya to a room where both the Khan and the Farooqui family were sitting together chatting busily. As soon as AsYa entered, both of them noticed one thing... Ayaan and Humeira, though sitting on different sides and talking to different people, they couldn't take their eyes off each other. Both of them smiled to themselves seeing their younger siblings so lost in love. Dilshad too noticed this and suddenly and idea struck her.

Dilshad (to Razia, Shireen and Zeenat): mujhe lagta hai ki hume Asad, Zoya, Ayaan aur Humeira ko akele chodna chahiye. Voh log ek dusre se baat zaroor karna chahte hain.

Zeenat: teekh hai. Kuch tho socho Dilshad, kyunki voh log hamare bina akele ek dusre ke saath nahi jaayenge.

Razia: lekin Zoya aur Humeira saath mein honge aur Asad aur Ayaan saath mein honge. Asad-Zoya, Ayaan-Humeira baat kaise karenge?

Dilshad: Akele chodke tho dekho ek baar.

Shireen: teekh hai.

After the ladies finish talking, the mothers call their sons and daughters to tell them to talk to each other. Little did the mothers know that they that they too wanted the same thing?

Asad: it's okay miss. Farooqui, aapke saare boyfriends ko bhool jayiye aur mujhpe dhyaan dijiye. Kyunki main iss sagaai ke liye tayyar hoon. And I'm sure you are too coz aapne kaha ki main aapke baaki boyfriends se zyada handsome hoon.

Zoya: what?!!!!!!

Ayaan: Humeira ji, uss Rehan ko bhool jaayiye. Main aapko kabhi akela nahi chodunga. Main iss sagaai ke liye tayyar hoon.

Humeira: kya?!!!!
