She's not dumb, she can hear. Asad is talking.

But yes. She's mute. But wasn't born being mute.

She did screamed at Asad and co when she lost her specs and made a big deal out of it.

And then sometime later she lost it, she did come to terms with it and had stopped feeling sorry for herself, but she's not at all ready for Asad, the way she thinks he deserves, and most importantly the way she deserves to be first.

So the letter is really just Zoya's writing, her end of the conversation when Asad went on ONE knee and declared his undying love for her. She knows she loves him, that's why she didn't reject him direct, just rejected his proposal, for the reasons she gave.

And at the same time she herself puts out the challenge that if it ever comes to it...if she ever decides as such, i.e. to be with him, she'll say the three words and she'd go down on her knees, eh, knee. She can always tell him in writing.

But he said she can't write the three words. So she called him insensitive. But she says she'll figure something out, making it known to him that her answer isn't a definite NO! So he was fine just then. Telling her he if she wins the challenge (of saying the three words) he wins too. While she might say she didn't get it, truth is, if she wins, it really does show that it is really him winning too. For he gets her, finally.

Now that he knows he stands a fair chance still, he goes on to tell her just how much he hates her pink pen..,it is so striking! And he hates it. So she agrees to use a black one thereafter.

BUT on the very day she is baring her soul..that black pen chooses that very time to dry off of ink, thus the You know whaaaaaa aaa bit. Can you see? The ink fading off?

So she panicked! She tries looking for another pen. And started rummaging her bag. And when she found another, she couldn't help crying coz it was a pink pen. And he hates pink. How is she going to do this.

She wants it to be special. And like Asad told her, it really is.

Asad realises what she was doing, that's why he couldn't help the smile. But was in for a bigger shocker when she actually says it. Those three words. While he was holding her. Coz she needs him to hear.

And so yeah.

That's that.

You're not at all dumb, please.

I guess my story telling skill needs improving and polishing. Lots of them.
