First, I will post a disclaimer: If I mention names, it is because I respect these topic makers.
Recently I saw a few posts taking digs on topic makers (TMs). So I thought let me share what I feel about some of the type of topic makers. I myself, am guilty of being the so called nit pickers, so I can probably fend for others too.
The very first type of topic maker are AsYa droolers. Give them AsYa and they are happy - deny them AsYa and they are sad. All their posts and reviews about a particular episode are based on how much and how AsYa were shown.
The other type of topic makers are optimists. Some like Bheegi (I am sorry I take a name, here but its all in praise and awe) almost always find a positive thing in an episode. No matter how the episode was for others, for these people, there is always a reason to be happy - whether it is a symbolism , or their own way of analyzing a particular dialog, they are always able to motivate some of us to watch the next episde.
The other type of topic makers (like myself) are analysts. We fell in love with the QH that was. We are stuck in a perennial zone of hiraeth - we love the logic, the symbolisms, the acting, the everything of QH till the surfacing of Amrapali as the Billo Rani - or around that time. So, no matter what the creatives they show,we are always complaining. Do we hate QH? No. We just almost, always find a way to compare the QH of today to the QH that was and find things that don't match up.
Then there are the likes of delena - aka Priyanka. Who can "analyze" the serial just from a pure perspective of how drama ought to be. They don't care about OTPs, and don't heroworship the leads. They don't ship one pair over the other. They can simply, objectively, call a spade a spade.
And, then there are the likes of MissHumtyDumpty, Jazz, and Amber, who can keep this forum alive with their liveliness, their sense of humor and their sarcasm at times. How they just simply love to be in the moment, and take a fresh spin on whatever was shown.
And, ofcourse the wonderful ff writers - Candy, Sangeeta, Ankie, etc.. May I even begin to write essays in their praise?
And, then there is one man army - Oishi. Who can create ripples in this forum, with every post of hers.
Why am I enlisting these topic makers ? Because, this is the only way I can portray the beauty of this forum. One episode. One freakin episode of 20 minutes. All of us watch the same episode. Same, exact episode. But, all of us view differently. Some like it. Some dislike it. Some find it OTT. Others find it underplayed. Some of us drool on all the AsYa romance, and some of us call it cheese. Isn't it beautiful, how just twenty minutes of the same episode, invoke so many myriad reactions from so many talented writers. Can we just sit and marvel at how all of us continue to view this beloved serial of ours in our own ways and appreciate it in our ways too? Do we have to call each other with labels like bashers, fanatics, etc.? Or can we just enjoy the different types of us that exist? Atleast, I enjoy reading every post on this forum. Even the ones that don't agree with my opinion. When I read Bheegi's post for example, I am wowed, how she saw the exact same scene so positively. And, then when I read Delena's post, I am like... Yeah, I may hate this track, but this is why it makes sense (or does not). And, then when I read Ankie's post, I relive the entire episode like a teenager, fangirling on the caps. And may I even say, how I crack up at every post Amber or Jazzy make? And how I absolutely love how every OS/FF writer takes those exact same characters - Asad and Zoya and weave such a wonderful story of them.
Hats off to each and every poster on this forum. Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.
PS: Just because I mention some names, does not mean I do not value other users though. Everyone, everyone here contributes. Like, little pieces of a jigsaw.
