I totally understand how you feel about comments and likes, I feel the same too. I have been feeling quite low and lacked motivation to continue because seriously working and maintaining a personal life and then pursuing a hobby so cherished make it close to difficult, sometimes when you think you didn't get the deserved recognition.
But you know the ones who post for you and like your updates, they want to read. So it is not all lost. I hope I make sense.😕
