THE FAULT IN OUR STARS-FF
CHAPTER 1
As the tide washed in, the Dutch Tulip man faced the ocean:
"Conjoiner rejoinder poisoner concealer revelator. Look at it, rising up and rising down, taking everything with it."
"What's that?" I asked.
"Water", the Dutchman said. "Well, and time."

Time boggled her. She didn't understand its relativity. She didn't understand anything. Not anymore. So her entire life had been a lie? And how had she not known? Why? Every day, in every adversity, she had looked up, believed in god and with faith strong on her heart, she had moved and faced it. And she had overcome everything. So far.
There is a time in life when you just have to let go and let it out. This time, it was her turn. And without a moment of hesitation, she picked up her phone and called her lifeline.
In the other corner of the same city lived a person who knew life better than anybody else because he loved it more than anybody else could ever love life.
It had been a long day, and he had been feeling restless, like something was wrong the whole time. But that could have been the boredom, or that he couldn't meet any of his friends today. It was a Sunday and it was family time for everybody. It should have been family time for him too, but his family was in Muscat right now, so bye family time!
Exhausted, he lay down on the bed recalling all sorts of memories. And then his phone rang.
Asad and Zoya had been best friends since childhood. How it had happened, neither remembered, but that never does matter. He loved her, like a friend of course, but was not like those filmy type friends, who don't have a life without just one friend. She was everything to him, but to an outsider they would seem normal and nobody would know how much they relied on each other. Now they were both doing their masters, they had grown up together and hopefully they would age together too.
As soon as he saw Zoya's name flicker on his phone, he picked it up. 'Hey babe. Wassup? "Asad, I need to see you", Zoya replied, her voice shaking just enough to make Asad realize something was wrong. "Are you okay? You sound a little upset?" hearing no response, Asad scooted off and rushed to meet Zoya.
"It was all a lie Asad. I'm one of those people who had everything laid out in front of her but was blindfolded. I had everything and I didn't know, because they didn't tell me and now my entire life has been a lie. Every tear that I have shed could have been saved. But fate played its game so well that every tear I shed may have been worth only more tears. Why Asad? Why me?"
"Zo, tell me what happened? And please don't cry. Don't you know I hate it when you cry, because once you stop crying you'll blame me for letting you ruin your mascara" Asad said, trying to lighten the situation, trying to make Zoya normal.
If there was something he hated, it was her crying. God, she was one of those people who had the very idealistic pure heart. She was that person who got hurt if strangers cried. She was to him, the person who deserved all the happiness in the world. She was that person that god made to make the world believe that he existed. And she SHOULDN'T cry.
Zoya continued talking, very incoherently pausing only to wipe tears, which paved way for more. She had been upset, yes. Hell, she had been devastated. But when she saw Asad, she only felt like crying more. It was as though her heart knew that there would be comfort, so it became easier to let go.
