Zoya Farooqui, the only daughter of Gaffur Farooqui and Zainab Farooqui had finished her engineering in Computers recently and she was awaiting her results.. A middle class family in Bhopal who valued their name and respect in the society more than anything else...Gaffur is a Bank employee while Zainab is a house wife...
Zoya had very few friends from her school days.. Tanveer, Ronak, Shruthi and Ayaan... .. Though each one of them chose different career paths, they were still in touch with each other ...
Tanveer had chosen to take up a degree in Arts while Ronak along with Zoya had completed his engineering in Computers from same college... Shruthi had opted to take up medicine and Ayaan had taken up engineering in civil and joined his family construction business...Tanveer and Shruthi had moved to Mumbai after their schooling to pursue their education in Mumbai while the other 3 had stayed back in Bhopal with their families. The whole gang would meet once in an year during their annual vacations..
Tanveer's nikaah was finalized and it was in Mumbai the next Sunday. She was here in Bhopal to invite her friends and relatives...
Zoya's House :
Tanveer : Zoya.. mein kuch nahin janti.. tum mere nikaah pe arahi ho bas...
Zoya : Tanveer.. Trust me.. mein bhi tumhari nikaah pe aana chathi hoon lekin ammi aur abbu se baath kaun karega??
Just as they were speaking , Zainab walked in with tea and snacks...
Tanveer : Aunty.. aap Zoya ko please bhejiye mere nikaah pe... sirf teen ya chaar din ki baath hain...
Zainab : Tanveer beta.. mein manti hoon ki tum sab bachpan ke sathi ho.. lekin Zoya kabhi akele Bhopal se bahar nahin gayi hain... kaise bhejdoon..??
Ayaan : Mumani.. aap Zoya ki chinta math kijiye.. mein hoon na.. Mein Zoya ka khayal rakoonga...aur sahi salamat apke ghar lekar ana meri zimmedari hain...
Gaffur : Teek hain Ayaan lekin gadi dhyan se chalao.. muje malum hain ki tum kitne teez gadi chalathe ho...meri bacchi ko sathao math...
Ayaan : Shukriya Mamu..aap ghabrayiye math.. mein apki princess ko tang nahin karoonga...
Ayaan is the only son of his parents Anwar and Zeenath...They are the top builders in Bhopal running "Zeenath Constructions" .. Gaffur and Zainab wished that Ayaan and Zoya will choose each other as their life partners..but they did not want to force their decision on their daughter... However Zoya was always into studies and she just had friendly relationship with Ayaan and Ronak .. Ayaan was always protective of her ...
It was late Saturday evening when Ayaan , Zoya and Ronak reached Mumbai .. The next day was the nikaah ceremony... However, the sangeet ceremony was supposed to be going on ... They were welcomed at the entrance by Shruthi and Tanveer's brother Tanseer...
Shruthi : Tanseer.. Aap Ayaan aur Ronak ko unka kamra dikhayi ye.. mein Zoya ko leke jati hoon...
As Shruthi and Zoya were walking towards a room so that Zoya could freshen up ,
Zoya : Shruthi.. Tanveer kahan hain ?? Pehle usse milna chathi hoon...
Shruthi : Abhi woh busy hain.. baad mein mil lena..
Zoya : Arre.. nikaah abhi tak hua to nahin na.. to .. chalo milthe hain...
Shruthi : Zoya.. woh abhi apne boy friend ke saath baath kar rahi hain.. use disturb math karo...
Zoya: Boy Friend ?? Yeh tum kya keh rahi ho ??
As many guests now were passing by, Shruthi instructed not to speak about it and lead Zoya to a room...
Shruthi : Zoya.. yeh kamra tumhara hain.. tum fresh ho jao.. aur neeche hall mein aajao.. .. tab tak Tanveer bhi ajayegi...
Zoya felt very strange hearing what Shruthi told .. Since Shruthi and Tanveer were settled in Mumbai, she did not know much about their personal life.. During vacations, when they met, it use to be a get together for lunch /dinner or outing for a movie...
Zoya wore a red lehenga.. and she left her hair loose .. Her only piece of jewellery was her earings..and her make up was minimum.. She was satisfied looking at herself in the mirror before stepping out.. As she was adjusting her dress and walking down the stairs, she did not see the person who was climbing up the stairs lost in his thoughts. She bumped into him and to see to that she did not fall down, the person climbing up the stairs.. held her .. Zoya slowly opened her eyes and found herself in the arms of a very handsome guy .. He was staring at her and there was no signs of him releasing her...
Zoya : I am sorry.. Meri galti hain...
Stranger : I am sorry.. Mein bhi dekh kar nahin chal raha tha...
They were still in the same position..
Zoya : Excuse me and she looked at his hands which was on her...
Stranger : Oh I am sorry.. and he helped her stand straight and took his hands back...
Zoya : Thank you .. and before he could speak anything.. she ran down the stairs...
On reaching the hall, she tried searching for her friends... Tanveer was sitting in the center along with her fiancee.. Salim... a doctor by profession...Shruthi was along with Tanveer.. Zoya searched for Ayaan and Ronak and found them trying to strike a conversation with few girls in the hall which brought a smile on her face...She moved towards them...
Zoya : Ayaan .. Ronak.. kya ho raha hain ??
Ronak : Mumbai mein bahut saare khoobsurat ladkiyan hain Zoya.. Dekh raha tha.. kisi ko patha saktha hoon ki nahin...
Ayaan : Bhopal mein koi nahin mili .. to Mumbai mein kaun milegei tumhe..
Ronak : Tum to aise keh rahe ho.. jaise Bhopal mein tumhe har ladki marti hain...
Zoya : Boys.. enough.. agar tum is tarah ki batein karte rahoge.. to mein jati hoon..
Ayaan : Nahin.. Zoya.. tum humare saath hi raho...
Ronak : Tum dono baito.. mein Tanseer ke saath jata hoon.. shayad kisise dosti hojaye.. and he winked at his friends and walked away...
Zoya : Yeh ladka kabhi nahin sudrega...
Ayaan : Zoya.. waise tumhara plan kya hain.. tum kya karne wali ho ??
Zoya : Mein soch rahi hoon.. ki mein MS karloon.. Mein New York aur Oxford universities mein application dalna chathi hoon.. lekin patha nahin abbu kaise react karthein hain... kya tum abbu se baath karoge Ayaan ?
Ayaan : Nahin.. Zoya. Utni door... mein kya karoonga.. 2 saal tak.. mein baath nahin karnewala hoon...
Zoya : Yeh kya baath hui.. ?? Tum to aise baath kar rahe ho.. jaise zindagi bar hum saath saath rahenge...Ab Tanveer aur Shruthi ko dekho.. wo dono Mumbai agaye hain na...
Ayaan : Tumhari baath alag hain Zoya..
Zoya looked quizzingly at him trying to look deep into eyes to understand what he meant.. but before their conversation could continue, Shruthi came over...
Shruthi : Ronak kahan hain.. Chalo Tanveer tum sab se milna chathi hain...and she dragged both of them...
Zoya and Ayaan spoke to Tanveer's parents and also her fiance...and wished them.. Ronak also joined them and wished the couple...
Ayaan : Zoya.. tum Shruthi ke saath hi raho.. Mein aur Ronak.. gift karidke aathe hain..
Zoya : Accha teek hain..
When Shruthi and Zoya were standing aside, Zoya noticed that the stranger whom she had bumped into was now wishing Tanveer along with her brother...
Shruthi : Zoya.. Dekh rahi ho... us handsome ko.. woh hain.. Tanveer ka Boy Friend.. aur Tanseer ka dost...
Zoya : Agar woh Tanveer ka boy friend hain to Tanveer Salim ke saath nikaah kyun kar rahi hain..??
Shruthi : Kyun ki woh kisi se bhi nikaah nahin karega...
Zoya : Tum kya bol rahi ho Shruthi...
Shruthi : Woh Mumbai ka sab se bada business man hain.. Apne ammi abbu ka lauta waris.. Tanseer ka dost hain.. .. Tanseer doctor hain na... aur hum do no ek hi hospital mein kaam kartein hai.. to uska dost dikhta rehta hain hospital mein kabhi kabhi... Ladkiyan marthi hain us pe... Tanveer bhi pagal thi... lekin ab woh Salim ke saath nikaah kar rahi hain.. Salim bhi humare hospital mein hi kaam kartein hain.. bahut hi mashoor heart surgeon hain.. Tanseer unhi ke saath kaam kartha hain...
Zoya : Naam kya hain hero ka ??
Shruthi : ASAD AHMED KHAN !!
After wishing Tanveer, Asad looked around and found Shruthi and Zoya speaking and looking towards him.. He smiled at both of them...before walking away with Tanseer...
Shruthi gave a surprised look towards Zoya : Kya tum janti ho Asad ko ??
Zoya : Nahin..
Shruthi : to woh tumhe dekh kar kyun muskuraya ?? Khabardar Zoya.. us admi se door hi raho...and excused herself since Tanveer's mother was looking out for her...
Zoya was standing alone but she could sense that 2 eyes were in her direction staring her ...From the corner of her eyes, she could see Asad sitting in the front row and looking towards her... Not knowing what to do, she walked outside and stood in the balcony away from the crowd..enjoying the cool breeze... waiting for her friends...It was a full moon day... She loved watching the full moon... and she was lost in admiring its beauty and she did not notice when Asad had joined her...
Asad waited for few minutes.. but it looked like Zoya was lost completely in her thoughts looking at the moon .. He had no choice but to disturb her...
Asad : Aap shayad Tanveer ki dost hain.. ??
Zoya was startled when she heard somebody speaking close to her... She was angry with the person who disturbed her peaceful time and looked in his direction...
Zoya : Aap ??
Asad repeated his question...
Zoya : Ji.. Aap ise poochne keliye muje disturb kiya ??
Asad sensed that she was angry.. and it was new to him .. All the girls he had seen earlier had tried to be close to him with false smile on their face.. but here this girl was angry with him since he had come to her... : Strange !! he told this loudly...
Zoya : What ??
Asad : Am sorry..
Zoya just looked back to her earlier position gazing away moon.. ignoring his presence...
It definitely hurt Asad's ego.. He was a guy who always maintained distance with girls.. be it in his college days or in his office.. but however during the business parties, he had seen girls trying to get close to him and running around him.. to grab his attention.. Tanveer was one among them who had had tried to get close to him since last 1 or 2 Yrs.. but somehow he knew that she was not the one for him.. She had tried taking her brother Tanseer's help as well but he was adamant on his decision...
He wanted someone special to come into his life and heart who could love him more than anybody else.. .. but it had to be unconditional love for him.. not somebody marrying him for his money or status...
When Zoya bumped into him earlier, he was mesmerized looking at her beautiful face and eyes.. Those eyes were the most beautiful and innocent eyes which he had seen and he loved when he had her in his arms for few seconds...
He looked back at her.. to see if she would divert her attention but in vain... What he could see on her face was the joy of an innocent child.. Not allowing them to concentrate on their objects of interest, Ayaan walked in...
Ayaan : Zoya.. tum yahan kya kar rahi ho ?? Chalo khana khate hein.. muje bhook lag rahi hain...
Zoya : Ayaan .. todhi dher aur.. please...
Ayaan : Chlo na... please.. Ronak aur Shruthi bhi wait kar rahein hain...
Asad was looking at both of them now and listening to their conversations.. He knew he had to speak up and strike a conversation else he may miss out a valuable chance to get to know more about her !!
Asad looking at Ayaan : Hi.. Kya aap sab Tanveer ke dost hain ?? Mein Tanseer ka dost..
Ayaan : Oh Hi.. Mera naam hain Ayaan aur ye Zoya. Aapne sahi samjah .. hum sab Tanveer ke dost hain.. Bhopal se.. hum sab bachpan ke dost hain...
Asad : How nice.. Mera naam hain Asad Ahmed Khan ... Nice meeting you .. Aap khane keliye ja rahein hain.. na.. me bhi akela hoon.. May I join you guys ??
Ayaan : Ofcourse. .. ismein poochne wali kaunsi baath hain ??
Zoya was feeling very uncomfortable now after knowing about Asad from Shruthi.. She also knew that it was not good to judge a person by hearing somebody else's comments...
Rashid Ahmed Khan and Dilshad Ahmed Khan had also joined the celebrations now.. Dilshad knew very well how Tanseer had become a good friend of Asad.. after the mild hear attack which Rashid had 2 Yrs back and was hospitalized in the same hospital where Tanseer worked... She also knew that Tanveer was interested in getting married to Asad but her son had stuck on to his decision in rejecting her proposal ...
Rashid did not want to have dinner and he was busy speaking with few family friends who were also in the marriage hall. Dilshad was happy to see her son chatting away with a small group of 2 girls and 2 boys...She made her way towards them...
Dilshad : Asad.. Yeh sab kaun hain ??
Asad : Ammi.. Yeh sab Tanveer ke dost hain.. aaj hi mila hoon in sab se.. and he introduced them to his ammi...
Dilshad noticed the twinkle in Asad's eyes when he introduced Zoya to her..
Dilshad : Zoya.. tum kya kar rahi ho beta ??
Zoya : Ji Mein.. abhi computer science engineering katam hua hain.. Mein soch rahi hoon MS karnekeliye...
Dilshad : WOW.. yeh to bahut acchi baat hain.. Humara chota sa company hain Dilshad Constructions.. aur mera beta Asad Architect hain...
Zoya : Chota.. meine to suna .. apka company bahut hi bada hain...??
Dilshad started laughing hearing this...
Asad : Aapko kisne bataya ?? Aap to Mumbai pehli baar ayi hain na ?? but he was again cut short by Ayaan...
Ayaan : Humara bhi constructions company hain - Zeenat Constructions.. Bhopal mein...
Asad : Oh how nice... Aap muje apna number dijiye.. agar Bhopal aaonga to zaroor miloonga...
Tanseer came running over to them as the dinner was going on ..
Tanseer : Ayaan.. sorry yaar... aap log kya apna room khali karke de sakte ho ?? Actually Salim ke kuch rishtedar zyada agaye hain aur do room kum padya hain.. agar aap sab bura nahin manoge to...Mein aap sab ko hotel mein room book karwadoonga...
Ayaan : Koi baat nahin hain Tanseer.. Mein aur Ronak manage karelenge.. lekin Zoya ko to room chahiye hain na ??
Dilshad : Tanseer.. koi baat nahin.. yeh sab bacche humare saath mere ghar ayenge...
Zoya : Nahin poophi.. hum manage karelenge..
Dilshad : Zoya.. poophi bhi keh rahi ho.. aur ghar ane se mana bhi kar rahi ho.. Decision is final.. Tanseer.. tum chinta mat karo.. mein in teeno ko ghar le jati hoon.. aur Shruti beta tum Mumbai ki hi rehne wali ho na ??
Shruthi did not know whether to allow her friends to go along with Dilshad or not.. but she did not know what to answer and so she kept quiet...
Asad was very happy with the turn of events.. It was the most unexpected thing to happen.. but he was happy though he did not know the reason for his happiness...
