According to me Zoya was being unreasonable !!

She could have just talked with him ...

And IMO Asad is the one who gets bashed all the time ... No matter what !!

Sorry Drea and Mata ji. I must digress from the interesting discussion taking place.

First off, your claim that Zoya is bashed more than anyone else is atrocious. That particular privilege is exclusive to Asad. More often than not, he has deserved it and I have been a part of the other side, the side you're on as of this moment.

But this particular situation that you're referring to. Dare I call to attention how extremely petty her anger is? She wasn't angry when Asad made her life decisions for her. She wasn't angry when Ayaan asked to borrow her. And when is she finally angry? When Asad doesn't pick her up. That could've been ignored. However, the way she has chosen to channel that anger is precisely the reason she has been, rightly so, deemed childish. She ignored Asad's calls and vented about him to Ayaan. Remind me how old is she? 12? Her behavior epitomizes frivolity.

Perhaps it's because the audience vicariously lives through the female lead that they stop acknowledging her flaws.

What if Zoya isn't that wonderful and the world created for me is Hell?
