Seriously, is Gul out to beat Ekta in the negativity stakes?

This show has already been warned once and still Gul persists. Billi's torture, Haseena Bi's torture...nothing but torture lies ahead, it appears! Forget the show's characters, don't the audience deserve a respite from all this torture?

What is Gul's problem really? Why such a sadistic streak? Is torture TRP Maya's favourite prashad or what?
