The first trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day has dropped, bringing Tom Holland back as Marvel’s popular web-slinger. The film is set to release in theatres on July 31 and marks his return to the role after a gap of nearly four years.

The story continues after Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Doctor Strange cast a spell that erased Peter Parker’s identity from everyone’s memory. While the move saved the multiverse, it left Peter completely alone, including being forgotten by MJ and his best friend Ned.

In the new trailer, Peter is still dealing with that loss. He is seen watching videos of MJ, played by Zendaya, and Ned settling into life at MIT. Their presence as his neighbours adds to his emotional struggle, making it clear that moving on has not been easy for him.

The trailer also hints at a shift in Peter’s powers. He appears to be developing organic webs, a change that raises new questions about his transformation. To understand what is happening, he turns to Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, who is familiar with complex physical changes.

Alongside Banner, Punisher, portrayed by Jon Bernthal, also appears in the trailer. One sequence shows a tense car chase where the two characters exchange sharp lines, adding to the film’s action tone. The film also brings back Scorpion, played by Michael Mando, from Spider-Man: Homecoming. New cast members include Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon Zayas and Marvin Jones II, who is set to play Tombstone.

“Brand New Day” follows the massive success of No Way Home, which crossed 1.9 billion dollars globally and featured previous Spider Man actors in a multiverse storyline. This time, the focus shifts back to Peter’s personal journey, his isolation and the cost of his choices.

The trailer leaves several questions open. Will Peter reconnect with MJ and Ned? What is causing the changes in his body? And how does this story connect to future Marvel projects? For now, the answers remain tied to its July release.
