Zoya's hugs are often impulsive (we tend to be surprised along with Asad at times) but i feel that these hugs are of a little girl who has craved her daddy or a male protector all her life - Asad is currently fulfilling the void in her of a father / protector - she has yet to feel the impact she has on Asad and realize her own reaction - Zoya is a bit slow like that for remember she did not realize she loved Asad until BR told her ?

IMO Rajeev is here for Asad to return her moms earring and for Zoya to realized what her boundaries are of testing Asads patience much like a naughty child - and that is it - it will be her bumping into Ayaan that will make her realize the physical passionate side of her relationship with Asad - IMO

Asad:

Was the first one to introduce sensuality in their relationship...right from the time of the first dance...(may be even before that...)he has been aware of his not so innocent' feelings...but he has always been able to control it the last minute...especially since Zoya would only stare at him with not much response...I think this was at its peak in the garden roll scene (unfortunately, the roll was edited out...but it was a very passionate hug, with Asad almost stepping over the boundaries of propriety he always maintained while interacting with the other sex.).

Soup - u said it urself - the roll had to be edited out - for Asad could not be shown almost stepping the boundaries of propriety even with the women he loved for SR was around the block - that was a hint to audience that if he did not cross the boundaries with Zoya he would never do so with BR

Another notable moment from Asad was the confession' dance in his backyard...main kabse aap se ek baat kehna chaahta hoon, Ms. Farooqui.'

Zoya had shied away, AND HE HAD TAKEN CHARGE...

That is how IMO their physical married life will be initially - until Zoya finds her footing and realizes the power she has over Asad😉😆

We saw a palpable change in the equation post " Ajmer...the reason being ASad's confidence IN HIMSELF being shattered. He did regain his composure when the truth of his innocence came out...even then...he considered Zoya far superior to him.

Here, I'd like to remember a dialogue Asad repeated TWICE in the show...'Main aapke qabil nahi hoon'- FIRST was when he thought he had lost Zoya forever, in the aftermath of some madness that must have devoured him...and very interestingly, the SECOND time was much after the revelation...it was when he realized Zoya had given up her father for saving him from Tanveer. Once again, he felt he fell short of her ...especially considering the selfishness he had attributed to her in the beginning.

Main aapke qabil nahi hoon - says it all for Asad -

Ever since he was a little boy he has been the sole protector of his family and scarified his own wishes to fulfill all the needs and wishes of his mother and sister whom he loves a lot - but for Zoya who he also loves a lot he could do neither -

He could not protect her from Tannu - her life had been put in danger several times and nowneither can he fulfill her wish - i.e getting to know who her father is - IMO Zoya keeps reassuring him that father is not important or her lines like Kismat per leave it coz she understands he will keep on feeling guilty - but Asad knows Zoyas inside out and he recognizes that this is not just a wish for her but is a NEED for Zoya to get answers regarding her past in order to move ahead in life - that is why until he can fulfill that wish he will sacrifice his own physical needs and keep on playing the primary role of a protector in her life

What we saw following that was a HUMBLED ASAD... who could not go beyond any expression other than GRATEFULNESS whenever Zoya came close to him...if he didn't respond with equal passion, she must not have noticed it either...because Zoya is lost in welcoming a totally new sensation.

In Asad Zoya has found the protector she has always craved and it too busy enjoying the feeling of being love and protected by a man - generally it is the man i.e father who worries and protects u from falling but in Zoyas case Appi was the worrier, stricter one who disciplined her where as Jiju was the loving friendly one getting her out of messes - a roll that generally is of a mom - therefore when Asad - an alpha male gets worried , upset or strict with her she feels even more cherished and loved - thus she tends to act even more immature and impulsively - she is misbehaving and testing her boundaries like any other child - IMO Rajeev is here to teach Zoya what her limits are with Asad

With Zoya losing her aura after the bewakoofi...which she is likely to continue...I guess we can see more of an Asad getting more assertive in their relationship. As was proved yesterday- the moment she falters, he is ready to show her the way...whether she welcomes it or not. And this leading could soon translate into their physical relationship too. Asad is never going to stop blushing when she teases him about his feelings- the ones he tries to hide...all the same, he is going to get demanding in their private moments, sooner or later.😳😆

Ironic that the 1st time prude Ahmed Khan is totally into the hug he has an audience 🤣

Asad blushes now coz he knows that is thoughts and reactions are anything but pure - wait till Zoya realizes it - her teasing him will stop them and the blushes will come 4 sure

And i agree that Asad is holding back now but later he will be the assertive, demanding and more possessive one - so much that IMO Zoya will not know how to handle it initially but it will definitely make her realize the difference between a love of a father and a husband.

How will Zoya react then?

1. When Zoya found Asad in his tub, she ran out and made a joke of it...much to Asad's embarrassment. When it came to him invading HER PRIVACY- she did not take it lightly...she demanded an explanation for his presence in her bathroom...ZOYA HAS CLEARLY DRAWN HER LINES HERE.

2. The Pizza in Bed wish: This is something I wondered right from the first time I watched the scene. (AND THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE TWO THOUGHTS THAT LED ME TO WRITE THIS POST, THE OTHER BEING THE BROKEN MUSIC BOX SCENE I MENTIONED ABOVE...)

They both end up having crumbs sticking out at the corner of their mouths...Zoya boldly wipes Asad's face...yet as he points out the bit on her lips...she stops him and wipes it herself. The most amazing thing about that scene was Asad's puzzled look at her ...what was this NO TOUCH rule she was imposing on him? While there were no barriers for her, why was it different, when it came to him? Why is it so easy for her to reach out to him, but so difficult to accept him reaching out to her...

She has no problems reaching out to him for she has total bharosa on him - that he will never cross the line - but she does not let him touch her is because her mother did let a man get physically close to her and then he abandoned her. IMO that is also the reason for her Nikaah is a tah umr promise line - for her no matter how much they love each other and are committed she is scared that it will end up meaning to be nothing unless they are not married

I FEEL THAT SCENE TELLS US A LOT ABOUT ZOYA's perception of what she expects from Mr. Khan CURRENTLY- physically and sometimes emotionally (except when it concerns her abbu). She loves poking her nose in anything and everything that concerns him...but the moment he takes a minor step towards her at a deep level...she backs off...INTERESTING...⭐️

Zoya will never do SR before marriage cause of her parents relationship and neither will Asad - remember with tannu during SR scene even though drugged he asked if the Nikaah had happened - for Rashid has 3 kids with Shireen before he did nikaah 17yrs ago - Asad will never make the same mistake as his father IMO .

I am one of the few who complain about Zoya's immaturity at times (especially of late) or the light romantic scene for i prefer when they actuall talked and communciated while being there for each other - like Zoya telling him about her nightmares and past or Zoya and Asad scene after his confrontation with Rashid at the factory - but the thing we do not realize is that Asad had to grow up and be emotionally mature long before his time - remember the scenes b/w him and Najma when Dilshad has asked Rashid to come over or Asads convo with his mother after she saw Rashid 1st time after 17yrs or when Rashid did not come over after promising he would? Asads has a great open mature relationship with his mother- he has had to be the emotional support for her since he was a boy therefore he has missed the fun aspect of all relationships - thus when Zoya does stupid silly antics which we feel are childish they are actually very dear to Asad - something as silly as her teasing him or giving his jam sandwiches with smiley face are Asads fondest memories of their relationship😃

I never really realized Zoya's point on their physical relationship where it concerned Asad. The pizza scene stuck out to me a lot in this post and I hope Gul and CVs haven't just played off this scene and it was used to portray Zoya's thoughts and feelings.
