But I'm just talking about Ayaan here as Nikhat's brother. Not even once did he say anything to Najma. His main issue was with Asad because Asad is the one saying Nikhat is as close to him as Najma. So, Ayaan was right in saying if you were really her brother, you would understand her feelings and her pain by looking at her!

I actually don't buy that. Ayaan is throwing a tantrum. This is about taunting Asad when he doesn't do things his way - did he even bother to hear Asad side of the story? - No. If Ayaan was being a good brother he should have done what Nikhat did. But it would seem Nikhat is the only one with any brains in that family.

And frankly with regards to Asad loving his siblings equally - he doesn't. The only person he cares for, it would seem, is saintly Ayaan. This brother relationship needs to blow up like yesterday or both Asad and Ayaan can take a short walk off a plank!

i rly felt najma and zoya were and are being very insensitive in this situation. firstly najma doesnt seem to have a bit of remorse or sympathy for nikhaat which she really shud if not as a sister then as a woman.

and zoya omg she just really needs to keep quiet. really, they shouldnt care about haseena bi and only think about what imran did? will najma not be living with haseena bi in that same house? zoya wasnt even being mindful of how hurt her own fiancee was by all this and the accusations put on him. i was really disappointed in her today, she wasn't acting like a elder sister in law she is just acting like najma's bff from school

but yes i do agree that ayaan has never shown any interest in najma so he is no one to talk

@bold - Why? Najma has done nothing to Nikhat. Yes, the situation is complex but at the end of the day whatever the reasons are Nikhat broke her own engagement. Najma was not the cause of that. She is allowed to be happy about her own wedding.

I had typed a comment but it got deleted-_-

Anyways, I don't see it as Ayaan throwing a tantrum. We all know how close Ayaan and Nikhat are. In fact, they both know each other more than anyone else in their family. So, I see him as Nikhat's brother who has seen his sister giving everything for this relationship, her love for Imran and only he knows what she's going through at this moment. He knows no matter how much she tries to convince everyone that she's okay, he knows she's shattered inside! He's being extremely emotional, hence his accusations. How many times has Asad accused the other person without seeing the both sides? Forget Asad, how many times do we see both sides before jumping to conclusions in such situations? So, more than tantrums, it's a protective brother who can't see his sister breaking apart.

& Of course Asad doesn't love all his siblings equally. It's natural for him to love Najma and Ayaan more because he has lived with them, been their father figure, taken care of 'em. So his bond is stronger with Ayaan and Najma compared to Nikhat and Nuzhat. but Asad is the one saying both NIkhat and Najma are equal for him. That's when Ayaan blew up.

I'm all up for brothers' war. It's going to be interesting and this war is needed for both of 'em to understand each other and especially Ayaan who needs to understand his brother and realize his importance!

i cant agree anymore...its not because you didn't bash zoya and nazma..its because you understand the characters, their relationship and their reactions...we can not expect from them to do what we want them to do..they are supposed to how their characters have been so far in show..how they have been with others so far...and how writing has been so far...
i loved your post because of its objectivity...
when someone is wrong is wrong..be it zoya or asad...but if they arein characters i have no problem..
and i totally agree with your last para about marriage...i am unable to understand the urgency of marriage for these sisters🤢
they are not getting asad and zoya married who are mature, settled and eldest ...but they want nazma and nikhat to get married...🤢

I am not excusing Asad at all frankly they are all pissing me off these days. Asad's chauvinism is back and so are his blinders, Zoe is back to being interfering and Ayaan is well Ayaan. I don't think I have hated a character more that I do Ayaan (let me clarify love to hate - Vikrant is amazing). I want Ayaan to burn for his actions. His character has always been immature, selfish and innately cruel and I actually want to see him suffer...if only for some time - looks like it will happen when either the Rashid secret/mother secret/Gaffur truth comes out.

Well, that's a different debate but I was just talking about Ayaan in this particular situation and his reaction! So, in this particular situation I understand his reaction!

Personally, when I criticize or 'bash' (as most people would say) a character that doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong with the writing or character is bad or out of character. No one's perfect and same's the case with these characters. Right now, I find Zoya extremely annoying but that's not because I want her to act certain way but because in my opinion, what she's doing is wrong. I'm not complaining about character inconsistency or bad writing. Even Asad used to get criticized all the time for being so judgmental even though that was his character.

P.S.: I'm not trying to accuse you of anything but just presented my POV:)

kiran of course you can have your opinion ,,and criticise characters ...thats what forum is for,,,...i respect what you think of the characters at this moment...we can never love any character all the time...and if any show makes that type of character which are liked by all and all the time..they are not real...QH is unique because characters are flawed..no one is here perfect like in real life we are...so i completely accept your opinion 😃
