I think how you described the scene imbued it with poetic connections and deep symbolism. I am certain the PH wanted it to be seen that way, so in that sense, I suppose they achieved what they set out to do.

However, I am perhaps one of those strange people who look for logic. (What, in an Indian soap? Am I Nuts?!!!).
10 years old is too young for comments by teachers about finding or not finding life-partners.
It is not an age to form any such deep impact on memories, other than momentous occasions or incidents.
One could argue that for Mr. Khan this was a momentous incident, but again, he would have been too young to think about his own wedding/bride, etc.
At that time all the fiasco with his parents was taking place, and would have had - and did! - a much deeper impact.

I am not too far from my own10 year-old self, and I can say that at no time were the opposite-sex on my mind in any shape or form except as play mates; and teachers certainly did not comment on a child's serious demeanor and behavior with predictions of future mate or lack thereof.

However, as I mentioned before, your interpretation certainly puts a very romantic, and thought-provoking lens on the scene, as I am sure the PH intended.

Brilliantly written. 👏
I had tears in my eyes when i saw it.😳
Asad's innocence and his Hurt pride just touched a personal chord of my heart. 😳
We ridicule we make fun of we hurt A Weird Classmate at school why? Cause that classmate is Different, runs with a frog in the hand and we consider him to be WEIRD and make fun of him, mock him down, maybe hurt him too physically, cause that entertain us.
that guy is alone, and cant protect himself, but then we fail to realize how much pain he goes through.
While we enjoy at the expense of ridiculing that Classmate, no one dares to befriend with him.

Gives you a reason why Mr Khan had no friends in school.
Asad's biggest part is that, he was insulted, and he did feel so very bad, so very down, that it still hurts him. He took all the abuses as a challenge, maybe he had forgotten about it now, but he did take, and today he is THE MOST SUCCESSFUL STUDENT of the lot 😃 😆

Asad's pride is Zoya, he today can show the world off Ki See THIS LADY WHO IS THE SUNSHINE FOR ALL IS MY SOUL-MATE.
Who else would have had took him out of his akadoo shell or else? Weird things happen to weird people only 😊

Loved the way Zoya said I AM GETTING MARRIED TO HIM. 😊 ⭐️ 😳

Sacch hi toh kaha hai kissne, ki I can conquer the world if i have your unconditional support. 😳

This was a little emotional sentimental war, today Asad won with the help and support of his Zoya.

Loved it.

Moral of the Story - If you are DIFFERENT, Apko both the 'MAAAL's milengey 😉 😆 🤣

and the frog part 😆 😆 I miss my school. 😭 😭 😊

Vicky Maam 🤗

Thank you and i love your take.🤗... kids or even adults shouldn't be told rude things - the words stay with them and if life is contrary , they start believing all that crap. People need to be told nice things , they need to be made feel nice things about themselves. Why be insensitive to the innocent ones? Zoe has won a war for Asad - the war of heart and prejudice. For all that he lost in life, Zoe is the answer and Asad knows that. 😳

That scene was super cute and Asad was so adorable. 😳

Thank you. 🤗Asad has a lot of innocence in him - a soft side that won over Zoe inspite of all his jerk-head displays.😆

While I dont understand what kind of teachers make such comments to kids in the 4th standard .. name calling them akdu and saying they will never find a girl..

I DID also really appreciate the scene because of the value behind it.

Im gonna C/P my comment from my post.😆

But why i did like it? Well, because Asad wanted to show off Zoe. 😳 And because of the little lesson thrown into the scene. The value and influences teachers have on youth. Children's second home in childhood actually scratch that.. their second homes from preschool to highschool/college is in the classroom. Teachers are who apart from parents, play a HUGE role in how we turn out. We gain valuable knowledge from them and do absorb things that they teach and even say. If its something POSITIVE, we beem with happiness and sometimes positive comments go to our heads. If its something negative we either let it bring us DOWN or we take that negative comment and CHANGE ourself accordingly and PROVE the party who doubts us WRONG. Thats what Asad did today. He wanted to prove his teacher wrong. The valuable thing we got from this is that MESSAGe itself. Sometimes teachers throw negative comments at us to motivate us to DO SOMETHING about it.. and as the teacher said, the fact that her student came back to prove her wrong is her BIGGEST compliment. 👏

AND i also found it beautiful that it was a CHRISTIAN teacher! 👏
