"Soft Pink Lips"

A few rows behind them, Rohan was making a move on a hazel eyed brunette.

Isha noticed this. No way in hell was she going to let him walk out on this movie.

"Ask her for her number and then shut up,"

"Wha- Isha!"

"I paid for your ticket too."

"But she's hot!"

"450 Rs. and you're free to go," she extended her palm.

"God you're so cheap!" he rummaged through his pockets.

"Shah Rukh banne ki koshish mat karo and pay up" she mocked.

"I'm not tryin- Ugh shut up Isha!" he pulled his cash out.

"I only have 200, left my wallet at home. Isha Aunty please..."

"I should receive remaining 250 by tomorrow," she indirectly gave permission.

"Isha Aunty!" he gave her shoulders a quick squeeze, "I love you man,"

"Ok, ok, now go. And here," she handed him his 200 Rs. "Use protection,"

Red from the unwelcomed embarrassment, he took the 200 Rs. and head out.

"Incorrigible to say the least," she chuckled to herself.

Finally some alone time with her beloved Ranbir. She thought he'd never leave.

"So how did the movie go?" she greeted Asad and Nasifa.

"AMAZING!" Nasifa squealed.

Asad looked like he had just woken up from a nap. "Um... yeah... it was really good," he tried to slide by with general comments.

"Where's Rohan Sir?" Nasifa noted his absence.

"He had an emergency,"

"Oh, is he alright," Asad asked out of courtesy while looking around for the girl with the soft pink lips.

"I hope so," Isha recalled all of Rohan's unpleasant encounters she'd forcibly been told about, "By the way, are you alright, there seems to be a scratch on the back of your palm right there," she pointed.

It was red pen. He swiftly covered it, "Yeah, I got it this morning, nothing big. Well it was nice meeting you Nasifa," he lied through his teeth.

"Likewise,"

"And Isha, I'll see you tomorrow but for now I'll have to excuse myself,"

"Of course, see you soon Mr. Khan," Isha allowed him.

Mr. Khan made sure he was out of the movie theatre before reading scribbles of red pen. They read, "Only had 200 Rs. with me at the moment," and it was signed Zoya.

He looked into his pockets to find two wrinkled up 100 Rs. notes. They smelt like her.

Zoya. Nice name.

Inside the theatre, Isha wandered. She didn't feel like going back to work, did she want to go see another movie or waste money at the arcade at the risk of looking insane?

Decisions Decisions.

Her phone interrupted with a new message.

Isha! Babe how are you? (Unspoken question: Did you finally find a boyfriend?) What's new with Rishta? Please tell me Rohan grew out of his blond highlights phase. Before you ask Jeej is fine and so is Diya, she drew us picture at day care today, attaching it to the message. I definitely think it's a Picasso. LOL. Anyways, we're coming to India this Friday. Yes, so you better make time. Lots of love, Nidhi.

With an immediate smile, she punched away at her phone.

Definitely a Picasso, Di. I'm great! And ha-ha very funny, I don't have a boyfriend because I don't WANT one. Rishta's going great, got some "interesting" cases on hand, you know how it is. But don't worry, will definitely make time for you guys. And luckily yes, Rohan realized his blond highlights were a major turn-off not to mention he looked ridiculous. And well you answered my queries about Jeej and Diya, but never the less tell Jeej he looks gorg and my love to Di-

"Is it boy...?"

"Wh- Huh-" Isha spazzed turning around to find Rohan grinning like a bigger idiot than usual.

"It's Nidhi Di," she brushed him off finishing her text.

"Oh, tell her I said hi and advised her to stop getting her hopes up on you ever getting a boyfriend. You and I both know we're going to get married at 60 when my wife dies and you still remain a lonely cat lady."

"Shut up Rohan," she sent her message.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you don't like cats. Dogs?"

"I don't get what's everyone's deal with my love life! I had a boyfriend once alright!"

"Yeah, in college. For like 2 weeks,"

"You're the last person to be lecturing me about this when your longest relationship lasted for 4 days," she gave it back to him.

"And besides... I'm not looking for anyone right now. I don't get why people think you can't be single and happy,"

"That's lonely-women talk for I'm not getting hit on enough,"

"I'm not even going to bother wasting my breath on you with this, and by the way, what happened to that Brunette?"

"It... didn't quite work out."

"No way! Lesbian?"

"I wish... she, I mean he was a... erm... drag queen,"

"Oh..." she looked away biting down her lips.

"You can laugh if you want," he rolled his eyes and t'was the beginning of an uncontrollable laughter that would go on for days.
