To post a picture I just copy and paste it or make a IMGUR account at IMGUR.com and upload a pic there and copy the link and paste it

To send a buddy request, at the bottom of someone's post it says: Profile,Search, PM, Buddy, Like

You click on buddy and it takes you to your friends page after that you click on add to buddy list
