I read through what other people said about this piece, but oddly enough, I didn't agree with most people. Sure, if you update this with a Part 2 or give us a sequel, I will be one delighted soul. But, to be honest, I loved where you ended this. Yes, it was heart wrenching, but it had an intense beauty. A raw appeal. That's true literature right there. And so what if I had to shed a few metaphoric tears yet again? I don't see many people crowding by Shakespeare's grave (where is the man even buried anyways?) laying out their woes about Romeo & Juliet not living happily ever after. Life ain't no Disney movie. And a sad ending doesn't determine the beauty of a story.

Anyways, need I even say anything, Monica? You know the drill. I repeat the universal truth that you are one heck of a writer, you are not convinced, and then I virtually whack you over the head to knock some sense into you. Hopefully, you know the obvious by now. 😉
I don't know how you managed to have barely two dialogues and still convey every flicker of emotion to the nth degree. It was perfff! The despair was so beautifully portrayed! His despair, her despair, their despair. And it was necessary for Zoya to walk away. No, I am not being sadistic here, but had she stayed, she would have succumbed to his pleas... Not because she knew he is innocent, but because he is he. And, in my opinion, that's not the right route for this situation.
I am a sucker for angsty stories and this was just perfect! Reading your stories sometimes helps me understand the characters better in the show, so thank you for that!

LOL First of all, I LOVE your tangents. I tend to do the same thing 😆. And LMAO I don't know where Shakespeare is buried either (you'd think it'd be public info lol). But I agree. The same thing with Titanic. The movie itself was beautiful as is. But of course, to please the viewers they made a scene at the end as if they lived happily ever after and all the staff clapping lol. In a way it was just to pacify them. But the true ending was the best. Sad, but epic and pulled at your heartstrings.

And I LOVE you for whacking me 😆. I've always been insecure about my creative stuff. Writing, painting, art, designing, etc. But when I love a piece, I show it. And this one I am truly proud of 😃
And yes, I agree with you. And like I said before, I was actually quite proud of this one And even more flattered that people understood it. But I love you for seeing that it's at it's peak the way it is. I don't usually like sad endings.. a little depressing for me lol. But in this case, I was trying to portray their pain, and just one of the possible scenarios. And even when I did try to think of a sequel, it wasn't coming out. I mean I could get Zoya to go back and listent to him, but then what? Until she knew that he was innocent, she wouldn't be able to get past the "fact" that he betrayed her and her trust in him.
