I left, leaving that letter behind hoping they won't be too worried. I will call them once I reach Delhi to make sure they are alright. Leaving all the sorrows behind and getting busy travelling has already made me feel a bit better. Of course, it's just a bit better… I don't think I will ever be able to fill the void. I want to feel better, I want to learn to live again – but I don't want to get over him. Love isn't about possession anyways – so it doesn't matter whether he is mine or not… I will always be his for I truly loved him. Yes, it hurts that he didn't reciprocate my love; it hurts even more that he proved it by sleeping with someone else. He could have said it, but he decided to do it this way instead. Yes, I know the wedding was a sham – but I never thought he'd go down to this extent to get away from it.

All these thoughts scurried through her head as she sat in the taxi, got through the airport check in, security and finally to her seat on the aircraft. She was so numb that every action was being done unmindfully. As she sat there she wanted to get those thoughts out of her head. And one good way was to sleep through it – but she had already developed chronic insomnia… hence she decided to hear some music. She put on the head phones and listened.

By now she was already silently sobbing, she couldn't hear it any longer. She could relate to each word in that song. Yes, she knew what it felt like to love someone that was in a rush to throw her away.

No. I have to be strong. Zoya, it's ok – you will get through it, this too shall pass. It has to pass.

She took comfort in that thought and dozed off for a while. She hadn't slept in over 24 hours until now; hence fatigue and exhaustion had caught up with her.

Zoya, I hope you'll wait for me. I promise I'll make it up to you. Time has been unjust to us, but I am grateful… for it is these circumstances that have broken me and compelled me to accept how much you mean to me. I never knew this side of me existed, the side that could love someone so much that it would devastate me. But now that I am familiar with it, I will fight against all odds to bring you back – without you I am nothing. Nothing at all! I have booked my ticket for tomorrow night... I can't wait till you wake up so I can call you and tell you that I'm visiting you. I hope you will forgive me for trusting that lady.

"Anwar! Anwar!" she screamed

"What happened Zeenat?" he had just woken up and was still fairly in the laid back, lazy mode.

"Zoya's gone… look at this" Anwar read the letter and was shocked but he had to console his wife too.

"Zeenat" he handed her a glass of water. "She will call; we'll tell her everything on the phone. I'm sure she is safe. I don't blame her to leave in the condition she did. Had we told her last night, she wouldn't have done this. But don't worry for now; she will be in the plane. I don't know where she's gone, but I know she's not in the US."

"How do you know that?" Zeenat sobbed

"She's Zoya. In the state she left, she needs something fresh and new to move on. US isn't it… she's been here too long to find something new here. So calm down! I will keep a watch on my skype – if she's online, I'll talk to her immediately."

Ya Allah, what will I tell Dilshaad Bi and Asad? God, please please please bring Zoya back. I already feel so guilty for not telling her earlier. I wish I had. It's all my fault. Ya Allah please protect that girl and get her connected to us as soon as possible.

Zoya had a stopover at Seoul, Korea for 15 hours. She bought herself pizza, coke and sat down with her ipad - she connected to the free wifi that the airport provided.

Let's see, it should be around 10 am in New York – they would be awake. I should skype call with them. Oh, Anwar jeeju is online. I'll call him. And I know he won't be too mad at me.

She was a bit chirpy today; after all she'd gotten back to her old tactics! Only things like this could make this girl happy!

"Asalam Walekum Jeeju!" she sounded happier that what she had been the past few days – who was she kidding? Her Jeeju? He could read her like an open book – yes he was relieved to see that this travelling business had improved her condition, but the pain was still there, still fresh.

" Zoya, look I'm not mad at you for leaving… but there is something very important that I must tell you" He didn't want to lose a minute, he didn't know how long she had.

Zoya was worried after hearing his tone and his words. "Tell me jeeju" the smile on her face had vanished and a frown had replaced it.

"Asad is innocent, Tanveer confessed her crimes and got arrested."

"What? What are you talking about?"

"Tanveer was the cause of all the incidents that happened – from the gas incident, the jashn-e-saughaat, the blood samples, chandelier, fire incident, mehendi acid and even poison for humeira and the most important thing -

"Yes, I framed Asad! I framed him. Now that you already know I am pregnant, I wanted to make Asad the father – hence the drama. He's rich, he's successful and he's too nave and innocent. What else could I want? But I knew Asad would never cheat her, or leave her – so I got myself kidnapped so that he could be hit on his head and drugged – unconscious enough for me to stage that drama. He was unconscious that night – nothing happened. But now his guilt will force him into marrying me… and there is nothing you can do about it. And if you do… I will not hesitate to kill any of you!" She smirked. Luckily the police came out right then and arrested her.

Tears streaming down, she had nothing to say but a voice came out of nowhere – she could swear it was not hers "Tell him to pick me up at Delhi airport tomorrow afternoon" and she hung up. She needed space.
