Asad is abusive. And Zoya is stuck in this abusive relationship where he will lay his life down for her, protect her from the world, but still not respect her. In fact, he himself at this point is the exact thing that she is most in danger from.
Honestly, this chapter was BANG ON! I enjoyed the first half thoroughly - Asad punching and kicking the door was ROFL 🤣 and like I said before - I adore his steely protectiveness! But then the second half had me really intrigued. It reminded me of similar instances in the show but you know despite what Asad used to say to Zoya, she would alway forgive him in a second and we never really got to see a full-out redemption and he is sorta a changed man now anyways. This time, I would love to see Zoya give him a hard time and for him to learn a good hard lesson!
This Malak guy is getting fishier and fishier but even then I like his presence - he is important for Asad's realization. Loved these lines:
"If he has a problem with you then he's the one who needs to change."
Your writing was flawless as usual and this chapter was extremely well done! 👏
