Here's a recap before I start because I haven't updated in a while and you guys probably forgot the story: Tanveer is exposed and sent to the mental institution, but before that she pushed Zoya down the stairs. As Asad rushed Zoya to the hospital, he told her that he loved her, and she became unconscious with a smile. It turns out that the head injury was so severe, it led to Zoya being in a coma for the past 6 months. A new entry, Farhan, is introduced as he is Zoya's best friend from New York. He and Zoya dated and were about
to be engaged but broke it off when they realized they didn't love each other"it was just an infatuation. Asad becomes jealous of Farhan after hearing his past with Zoya. When alone, Asad tells an unconscious Zoya that he loves her, for the first time in 6 months. Zoya responds to this and wakes up, but she doesn't recognize Najma, Dilshaad, or Asad. She only remembers that she was about to get engaged to Farhan (events that took place 2 years ago) After she's discharged, she forces her Aapi and Phoopi to have her and Farhan's engagement ASAP and for her health, everyone has to play along. Because of something Asad said, Zoya remembers almost everything about her past (except about what role Farhan and Asad now play in her life). Asad refuses to remind her of anything else as it might harm her. Zoya feels an attraction towards Asad, while Farhan and Najma begin to develop feelings for each other. Phew that was long! and now on with the story!
SS Forgotten Love: Part 7
***Later That Night***
Zoya stood in the garden. Whenever she was alone, she caught herself thinking the same thoughts over and over again"about Asad.
Main nahi jaanti mujhe yeh kya ho raha lekin meri saagai hone wali hai aur mujhe abhi usper concentrate karna hai. Zoya thought as she tried to dismiss these thoughts from her mind.
"Ok let's see; kon kon bulane ko hai. Farina and Tahira are a must. Lekin phir toh" She mumbled on, while sitting on the bench that was behind her and completely ignored the hand that was on her shoulder.
"Miss Farooqui?"
"Great! Just when I was thinking about something else. " Zoya muttered under her breath, as she turned around.
"What's that?" asked Asad, innocently.
"Oh nothing." she quickly said as she took the coffee he held out.
"Thank you."
Even after Zoya sent Asad a thousand telapathic messages, telling him to go away, he still sat right next to her.
Asad wasn't going to just let her do whatever she wanted and let her get engaged to Farhan in front of his eyes. He had to do something about it first.
"Umm so what'cha doing?" Asad asked, to hopefully start a conversation.
"Oh nothing, bas ek guest list banarahe hoon. " She paused as she realized who she was talking to and how her hands were itching to be in his.
Snap out of it Zoya! Tum Farhan ke saath aaisa nahi kar saakthi ho. Control yourself! Zoya scolded herself.
On the other hand, Asad tried to encourage himself:
C'mon Asad, tujhe aaj Miss. Farooqui say poochna hi hoga./I]
He sat up straight.
"Um Miss. Farooqui, mujhe aap say kuch pooch na tha. " he asked sheepishly.
"To bolo na. I told you Asad, maine itne saare din betaye hai aap ki ghar, the least you could do is talk to me without being so nervous. " Zoya said with a fake confidence in her voice. She pretended to look at her list so there was no chance of her getting lost in Asad's eyes.
"Kya aap kya iss saagai say kush hai?" he closed his eyes for the answer.
[I]Shahid mujhe yeh nahi pooch na chahe tha. What if she says yes, and I can't take it. Asad thought worriedly.
Zoya had a shocked expression on her face, not because Asad was asking that question, but because she had been asking herself the same question all day long and she still couldn't find an answer.
She thought a lot about it and cleared her throat.
"Patha nahi. " Zoya stood up as she spoke. "I mean kush mujhe hona chaye after all maine Farhan ko choona hai. Aur main toh usse pyaar be karthi thi lekin ab"
She turned around to find Asad gone, but her Aapi in her place.
"Zoya, if you're having second thoughts, you can cancel the engagement. Koy tumare upar pressure nahi daal raha hai. Agar tum comfortable nahi ho toh math karo yeh saagai. " consoled Zeenat.
"Nahi Aapi aaisa nahi hai. Aur main Farhan ko aaise ditch nahi kar sakti, I mean we've known each other for so long. I thinkI'm just nervous. " Zoya lied.
By now she had an idea of what was happening to her but it was better that no one knew.
Zoya left the garden and Zeenat called Farhan.
"I think it's time. Tomorrow, for sure. " she said in the phone.
***The Next Day***
"Yes, I'll get the flowers you want. Ok the bracelet too." Asad sighed.
Pehle Zoya ki saagai kisi aur ke saath ho they way dekho aur phir Zeenat Aapi mujse usse main shamil hone ko force kar rahi hai he pressed the bridge of his nose.
Unknown to him, Zoya stood behind his door, listening to every word. She knocked on the door and walked in.
"Girlfriend Mr. Khan?" she asked as innocent as she could be, handing him his black coffee.
"Jee?!" Asked a surprised Asad.
"Phone pergirlfriend thi? Whoops sorry I meant fiance. Looks like bahaut saare demands hai uske. " Zoya teased with a wink.
"Meri koy girlfriend yah fiance nahi hai. " Asad quickly blurted out.
"Accha ji? Aapne usse itne jaldi boola diya? Aap itne kaarab kab say hoogaye Asad? " Zoya asked.
"Mera matlab ki phone pe aap ki Aapi thi. Aur mera nikah abhi ki liye postponed ho gaya hai toh mein uske baare aur uske related saare cheeso koy bool gaye. " He mentally slapped himself. That had to be THE lamest excuse he's ever given.
"Nikah? Lekin aap kisi aur ke sath nikah kaise kar saak they hai? Kya main aap ki kuch nahi laagti kya? " Zoya immediately put her hands to her mouth when she realized what she said.
A shocked Asad stopped thinking straight right when she said that.
"Aap kyu jealous ho rahe hai?" he asked with a smirk.
"Nahiwohkya hai na maine yeh dialogue kisi movie me soona tha aur maine socha" Zoya mumbled while having more than sixty shades of red on her cheeks at the moment.
He understood that Zoya had just made an - equally lame as his - excuse but he chose to ignore it.
"Main bus maazak kar raha tha. It's ok. " Asad said while flashing his dimple wala smile.
Those dimples had the power to make her brain just stop and stare. Her head started feeling light and she took a step back, while twisting her foot in a weird angle, and almost fell down but felt the hands she wanted her hands to be in tightly hold her shoulder just in time.
Zoya stood up straight and fixed her clothes.
"Uhh thanks. I gotta go. " she said as she rushed out the door, leaving a thoughtful Asad behind.
***The Next Morning***
Zoya tried to block out whatever had happened the day before and tried to be excited for her engagement which was being held just a few days later.
She laid out all the dress, that her Aapi had bought for her to choose, on her bed.
"Oh wow! The red lengha is so pretty! Aur yeh silver and blue wala beAllah Miya! Aapi ne itne saare dediye aur unne patha hai ki mujhe cupare choose karne main kitna time lag tha hai. I know! I'll ask Phoopi to help me decide! "
Zoya jumped off her bed and literally ran out of her room to find Dilshaad, running smack into Asad. To avoid falling down, she held on to the sleeves of his shirt and she felt his arm immediately around her waist. Zoya kept her eyes closed as Asad helped her up.
"You alright? Aap aaise tufaan ki thara kaha ja rahe hai? " Asad asked.
Allah Miya! He's got such a deep, dreamy voice. And his eyes, they're just"Hello? Miss Farooqui? Aap kon say dooniya me koywe hai? " he said while snapping in front of her face.
"Huh? Oh kuch nahi umm thank you. Kya aapko patha hai qui Phoopi kaha hai?" Zoya was cursing at herself for always being so clumsy in front of Asad.
"Ammi? Woh toh aapne room me hai lekin."
Zoya slipped a quick thanks and hurried to call Dilshaad into her room.
***A Few Minutes Later***
Dilshaad came along with Zoya to her room where Zoya tried on all her clothes and was doing a dramatic catwalk.
Dilshaad stifled a giggle and complimented Zoya on all her dresses.
"Saare aache hai Zoya. You look beautiful in all of them. "
"Aaise kaise Phoopi? Maine aapko meri help kerne ko boola ya tha aur aap hai kiAnyways ok main sooch rahi thi ki main Asad ka favorite color penhoo. Lekin itna time ho gaya hai na toh mujhe uska favorite color yaad nahi hai. Aap ko patha hai kya Phoopi? " Zoya asked.
"A-Asad ka favorite color? " asked a curious as well as surprised Dilshaad.
"Haan. After all usse ki saath mera nikah hone wala hai na. " Zoya replied, cheerfully, unable to catch on what Dilshaad was so confused about.
"ZoyalistenTumne Farhan ka naam nahi, Asad ka naam liya tha. Aur jab maine tumse isk ke baare main poocha tha toh tumne iss baat ko notice be nahi kia?" She confronted Zoya.
"Nahi Phoopimaine bus Farhan ka naam soontha aur mere moo say Asad ka naam galti say nikal gaya hoga. Aap be nah! Aaise tension lethi ho. " Zoya nervously laughed it off.
Dilshaad still seemed unsure.
"Hotha hai, aur waise be you probably got a lot on your mind. Yeh low, yeh wali dress Asad kowhoops sorry Farhan ko paasand aaiye gi. " Dilshaad slyly said as she walked out of the room.
Outside of Zoya's room, Dilshaad's phone began to ring: it was Farhan.
"Haan Zeenat bi ne bathaya tha ki unko laagtha hai qui waqt hogaya and now I can guarantee that now. It's definitely time." She said as she ended the call and went on to help with the preparations.
A/N *sigh* ok lemme have them chappals and sandals and sareway aloo gobi everything! wow it's been a long 44 days since I've updated! and I took so much time even after I came back because I couldn't start the story properly and once I started, I couldn't choose which direction I wanted it to go in. at first I planned to make this the last part but then I added in too many details and ughh it was so frustrating! anyways schools gonna start on Wednesday and I'll be busy but promise to update every weekend including Friday (not that there's a lot of chapters left). soo leave me comments likes and tomatoes 😃 cuz that's the only thing that's going to make me continue! I'm sorry for any and every mistake (there's some weird thing going on with no spaces between words but I'm too lazy to fix that so I'm sorry for any inconvenience)
oh and if u have any suggestions please tell me! I could use a few ideas!
I think my recap and note are longer than the part itself so I'm just gonna shut up now 😃
